Here you go: Peace between Chaos and related factions .

A bit of a messy title but this works for both Kemmler and Morathi, I may add more factions on request. Skaven factions are not included in that one so this mod here is still needed.

I'm still doing a bit of modding on TWW2 and will keep supporting my mods (and may release a bit of my local work on AI personalities), eventually I'll also start modding on TWW3 though (not before the combined map is out).

Most of the difficulty went into figuring out how to do this at all, now I can add it for any faction. I will try to publish Morathi and Kemmler this weekend, either separately or bundled in one mod.

I've been working on an unreleased project for TWW2 again and also looked into this one, this mod should indeed still work. It's a pretty lightweight script mod which should be update proof. :)

Finally, this mod is really necessary to make the end times even feel like the end times.
The empire won't have so much of an easy game with Chaos AND Moulder (and others like Clan Gritus) knocking on their doors now, that's for sure.
This might also take some stress away from Norsca so the norsemen finally get something done.

Sorry for the lack of updates/communication. Between my PC dying and me working 60 hour weeks with a newborn baby I didn't have a lot of time to continue my Warhammer mods.

Really nice mod. But is it possible to also change the relationship between chaos and moulder/skaven so thta you can actually do diplomacy. Something like a +x positive relationship.

Yes, it will be updated. I'm also taking all of the feedback here into account and will resolve that in the same update. :)
Same goes for my other mods, even if I don't post/update for a while I'm never actually inactive (just busy irl).

When Chaos arrives, I get a crash to desktop. Using about a dozen other mods in KMM, nothing that would obviously conflict but who knows. Playing as Clan Skyre so can't test with the Moulder version. I only activated the mod a few turns before Chaos arrived, like the other guy

Do you have any interest in perhaps implementing the option to join chaos like norsca does? Simply the popup that appears as Norsca to join the everchosen, maybe renamed to the vermintide or something?

I have an idea of what is causing this and if that's it then it would only happen in specific situations. I've updated the mod with a minor adjustment that -should- cover these cases. :)

If the issue persists I'll happily look into a more drastic version of this fix.

i appreciate the help! :) it looks like I had the mod enabled about 3 turns before they showed up, definitely was on when all the war declarations popped up. For the moment I was able to work around the issue by using a console mod to execute lua and force peace between the factions individually. I will start a new campaign with your mod enabled after I finish this one, and see what happens.

Hey kishkuma, the way I set the mod up lets it only declare peace a splitsecond after the war declaration when each wave of Chaos spawns. If the mod was not active at that exact time it might not work, though you pointed out that you enabled it before.
I also set it up that way to avoid mod conflicts (for example with Chaos Invasion mods) so they shouldn't be the issue either, hmm...

I tested this with my full mod list and without any other mods before uploading but I can give it a try again on the weekend. I'm definitely interested in making this work for you, sorry if that screwed with your plans for your campaign now.

Hm this isn't working for me, not sure why. Using Kaedrin's manager of course, I enabled this about a turn or two before Chaos spawned, but they still end up at war with all the Skaven factions. I tried reloading and using the old Moulder mod but that also didn't work. Sorry if I am missing something obvious.

Ah, that makes sense. This setup is probably best then since many of us, myself included, rely on chaos invasion mods to make them an actual threat. Thanks for the explanation!

Hello again Mister Skeleton, I can very easily adjust this mod to remove the initial war declarations in the first place and may still do so if that's a popular request.

While not being as bad (for compatibility) as a start pos mod I would have to modify the main Chaos Invasion script. That means breaking compatibility with most, if not all, Chaos Invasion mods as well as future official updates to the Chaos Invasion mod (unless I update mine to match).
The current version of the mod can be used alongside any Chaos Invasion mod or any future official Chaos Invasion updates (if they introduce new Chaos Invasion factions I'll need to update though, for new Skaven factions this mod will be ready even without an update).

So now this mod has the small caveat of having Skaven's treaties with Chaos cancelled when the final wave spawns (but are still in a state of peace) but is compatible with anything.

Please let me know your thoughts on this. :)

To my knowledge, changing Chaos' initial war declarations would require editing the startpos file, correct?
