The combat was actually tougher this time around, though I wish you would've included more mage spells. Also, wasn't my character supposed to have a datajack by default, for story reasons?
I didn't find any bugs this time, but there were more spelling errors.
I'm glad I could actually use 22 this time (he's quite funny). The level design was enjoyable again (dem ghost kids are really spooky O.o), the party splitting was refreshing and the ending was unexpected.
Time to download Act II: Part 2 (sigh)!
+1
But to say the truth its not worth the trouble. Allone the two Black ice can kill you in easy in 2 rounds (e.g. Elf decker with only 30 Hp) And after that the three white ice need also only 3 hits and you fall back in real life (maybe dying becouse of the black ice damage before). Up to this point i was dying in this mod only one time. But after making the little matrix run two times successfull (but not getting any further thx to npcs) i needed around 10 trys to make it thorugh this matrix again. And i had the programms bought.
The part with the ATMs was pretty buggy. I couldn't jack out at all so I had to let the IC kill me to get out. Another thing. Pitting black IC against a brand new decker just stealing some nuyen? I know these are supposed to be challenging but that makes zero sense fluff wise. It would be like having armed guards at an ATM never mind the fact that you can't even get any programs unless you got them from the one unlabeled NPC. You're not really warned that you'll be doing any of that.
Other than that, the UGC is pretty well done and has some polish although it is pretty short. I just wish they were all combined so you didn't have problem transfering things. I was pretty miffed after going through that whole ATM crap only to realize I wouldn't be keeping the money in the first place.
and I can't seem do do anything after i killed the security guard with the "(item: silenced pistol)" command. or am i just missing something? (fairly sure i tried everything)
After encountering 21, 39 was downed during the fight. Upon eliminating 21, I got an instant 'Game Over'. I think this would count as a bug, because afaik, companions that are downed (but not dead - i.e. fight over within 3 rounds) revive after a successful battle.
/SPOILERS
So far, kinda into this UGC, but it seems to be quite short. I'm hoping that there are more 'Acts' to follow. Please keep up the good work, this has been the best UGC I've played so far I think.
However, I was pretty pissed to discover that even after I won the battle I still died. Surely there could be some kind of reward for whupping all the minions to the point where the game has to kill you in a cut-scene? Even a more dramatic ending would have been nice.
Or, you can go to the workshop, and sort by top rated all time.

Otherwise, I love this. It is a gripping story unlike most UGC
How am I suppose to play?
