@White Spider: Waiting for the release of the Assembly Kit in Oct so I can modify the start position mods needed to do this. But I will be moving it over then.

@Mikeru: It is an issue with mods messing with the same Land_Units table as this mod uses to change her animation. But when I update this mod for WH3 I will try much harder to make it so that I don't have to change animations. Not sure whether that is going to be possible or not but I'll at least explain in a video what you as a user can do to "fix" the issue with some light modding of your own.

Could you make this mod COMPATIBLE with reskins for the Glade Captain? I've managed to get damsel reskins to work on the witch unit mod in TW1

Hey All,
Just wanted to let you know that I have managed to scale down her shield and sword to something less ridiculous looking. They are about 80% of what they once were. Their size is 20% less than it was. However you want to think about it.

Just to let you know, I was playing with Mixu's and this mod a little bit ago and got the female voice. I'm not sure if others work with Mixu's but it seems this one does seem to.

Yeah definitely have at least 1 (probably more) mods active that mess with the tables I use. T-Pose in battle would be a mod that changes Land_Units table which is most often used in mods changing unit stats. Campaign t-pose would be Campaign_Character_Arts table which also changes the Art set ID so that could both be messed up by a single mod that screws with the in game art.

Most likely you have a start_pos mod that is interacting with my mod. Basically campaign voices are linked to the start positions of characters which is insane but it is how they did it. Only one start_pos mod can be in effect at any time, although sometimes depending on the load order you can get away with more than one but all of the features of the mods will not work. So in this case her voice is not going to be correct in campaign but her voice in battles which is not determined by the same tables will still work as long as you don't have a mod that is also changing her stats as many combat stats use the same table as the battle voices.

I left the campaign audio silent as there are not any female voices that match her all that well. Originally I used the dreadlord but it didn't fit as well as I would have liked so I left her silent in subsequent updates.

The mod is now up to date. My solution to the problem was just wait and see what happens and that worked. So the mods are now up to date. No freaking clue what was going on but it seems to have resolved itself.

Hey All,
I have updated all of my mods but I am struggling with an error that prevents me from uploading them. I have never had issues updating or creating mods before but after the latest patch I have been unable to update or upload any new mods. I get "Failed to create mod in Workshop! k_EResultTimeout" when I try to update a mod and I get "Failed to create mod in Workshop!" when I try and create a new mod. As a test to make sure it was my account, I had my wife log into her account and use my mod files to create a new mod and she had no issues at all. If anyone has suggestions on how to fix this I will try them out, but not even the modding den discord channel has been able to figure it out. I just wanted you all to know that I am working on updating my mods but something is going on. I will let you know when it is fixed.

2) The problem with that is that it isn't a simple process to make a new faction and thus not currently worth the effort on my end when my wife and I tend to not enjoy playing overhaul mods. We kind of like to keep the original game as close to original as possible with only a few changes (ie no climate penalty and whatnot).

That being said it is not impossible that I won't make a separate faction version of my mods at some future time, just not right now as I have other interests and time constraints in my life.

1) That's correct it doesn't work with SFO as SFO is a major overhaul affecting many tables that are used in other mods such as mine. So if it makes changes to a table used in my mod then it will not work. It doesn't even have to make a change in the same column of a table. It cannot make any changes to the same character table. The only way that they might work together would be to create an entirely separate faction leaving in Sigvald. Any changes to Sigvald in SFO would not be on Sigvalda so it would work but unlikely that the overhauls affecting Sigvald's faction would be there with Sigvalda so at that point why bother with SFO at all if you can't really use it for yourself.

Dang thats cool bro! Leather working sounds like a really neat hobby. And I totally get what you're saying about modding being time consuming. I tried it once and all the tables you could edit really made it overwhelming

To be honest most modding isn't overly difficult and there are some very helpful people out there to help with the simple stuff especially. Some of the more complex stuff can be hard to find resources on though because such a small subgroup of the main population ever mess with that kind of thing. Cryswar actually has quite a few guides over most of the more common things people want to do with mods.

Modding is mostly just time consuming so that is the main constraint on me not creating a new faction. I work full time as a math professor and also have several other hobbies that I work on at any given time so I recently went on a super OCD Warhammer 2 mod-making mood recently but I'm currently obsessing about my leather working so that is what is maybe keeping me from doing it at the moment.

Check out Cryswar's guide on creating a new faction to get an idea of the process. She has several useful guides for modding and I definitely have used them in the past for some of my other mods but that one would at least give you an idea of the process for new factions and you would see why I have not done it yet...it is kind of involved :)

That would feasibly fix the issue that some people have when they use mods that change stats but it wouldn't fix it for people using start position mods. If I ever get into making a custom faction mod then I would probably go back over these gender mods to do that to them but custom factions are pretty time consuming and would take a ton of effort. I generally play this game with only a few mods at a time, and definitely do not like to use major overhauls so it has never been an issue on compatibility. The issue really comes down to the way CA created the tables that determine everything. Overhaul mods would be more able to work with other mods if there wasn't so much overlap on what the tables do.

Currently I am spending my modding effort on learning to edit rigid models so I don't see myself making a custom faction at the moment but like I said if I do get into that it wouldn't be tooooo hard to extend it to my gender mods.

Hey Mustachio, is it possible to duplicate this and make her as her own legendary lord with custom faction? I feel like it would resolve the issued of her body being all warped. But I'm not sure

Any mod should work as long as it does not directly affect the stats of the gender changed character or use the start_pos mod. Basically the battle animations are set in the land_units table which is used to define a lot of stats as well. The main units_units table changes the battle voice which also has some stat stuff. So if a mod is going to mess up this mod it will happen most often in those two tables or by using a start_pos. Start_pos is required to get the voice to change on the campaign map those other two tables are for the animations and voices in battles.

This is the only one of your mods that I got to work... kind of. Her name is still Prince Sigvald, but she has the right body and voice. I've verified that I have absolutely no other mods installed.

Okay so asking around about potential issues:
First off be 100% certain that the only mod enabled is mine JUST to be sure. Honestly the most common issue is that there is a mod enabled that is messing with it. The tables are weird and some mod that changes something unrelated could be used to change things used in my mod. Example: Animations are on the same table as the basic stats.
It's possible that the download botched, in which case, delete and unsubscribe from the mod to try and get a clean install.
If you are using Kaedrin's manager, you may also have a movie mod that you think isn't enabled, but these are always enabled by the manager. It's also possible you are using another start_pos mod that isn't clearly marked, or just didn't read carefully enough to notice it is one. Start_pos mods are going to have issues with mine but generally my game will not load with two start_pos mods installed.
