I know your Disciples of Poseidon are meant to be an Athenian exclusive, but they're also recruitable for Syracuse, as it turns out. Now normally I wouldn't complain about an extra unit in the roster, but when recruited for Syracuse they appear to be a bit glitched. The unit card appears to be a Roman sword unit on a boat, and on the battlefield the Disciples are completely invisible! It's worth noting, of course, that they appear to be working correctly for Athens.
I've already attempted to fix it by deleting the mod and re-installing it; it yielded no result. Just curious if anyone might have encountered this with this mod or has any other advice.
1) In the classic era the only known use of two handed weaponry was in India and as a back-up by archer's when alexander went through, pikes and maybe ceremonial pieces (correct me if Im wrong)
2) Big weapons are awesome ! but what this means is your units are only going to be used by radious cause div is a historical mod, so maybe tailor it to suit them.
3) Two handed weapons from a gameplay P.O.V mean Damage, Charge, Attack in that order and at the expense of defensive attributes and unit size. Your units while awesome could use more balancing in such a way, apart from sounding like a dick I guess what im trying to say is maybe tailor units to have a specific purpose otherwise why not just download a god mod ?
Headhunters are cool and fit the iceni but a little meh, at no armour and no shield they die too quickly. As well as this they dont do enough damage especially considering that in radious anything affecting morale is useless. Maybe give them two handed swords ? For modeling just extend and thicken the blade.
Chosen Axemen are cool high damage, attack and charge just what a two handed unit really is, unfortunatly for radious it makes units of that tier obsolete drop the men by twenty give them as much extra armour and charge 1100.
Disciples of Poseidon... Not only was the trident kinda shit at killing people but athens doesnt need another spear unit from vanilla to any mod, why not a super heavy javelin unit ?
think what marirvin meant as for females was they fought along side the men or in back of lines shooting arrows also they killed their own men when they retreated :P
@marirvin - Afaik women are off the cards for the moment. Probably a dlc...
@ Lord Martholomew - While I can't really claim any great historical accuracy here, I don't want to overdo the 2h units, otherwise they might lose that uniqueness they have.
@Archangel - The idea is the Spear Brethren are a native gallic unit, and the Galatians, while still fierce, have been ever so slightly civilized by their time in the East.
Thanks so much for making this, I would love more Two handed units preferably with more proper looking two handed weapons and according stats. Again thanks a lot for the effort.
@Phoenix - The Chosen Axemen are basically another variety of berserkers. They get less armour than berserkers as they have no shield, but they have even better offensive stats. If you can get them to berserk they will be even more effective. Use them in the same fashion as vanilla berserkers.
