Hey, I'm getting a weird bug-- not sure if it's my install or what, exactly.

I know your Disciples of Poseidon are meant to be an Athenian exclusive, but they're also recruitable for Syracuse, as it turns out. Now normally I wouldn't complain about an extra unit in the roster, but when recruited for Syracuse they appear to be a bit glitched. The unit card appears to be a Roman sword unit on a boat, and on the battlefield the Disciples are completely invisible! It's worth noting, of course, that they appear to be working correctly for Athens.

I've already attempted to fix it by deleting the mod and re-installing it; it yielded no result. Just curious if anyone might have encountered this with this mod or has any other advice.

Updated for P15/EE.

Yes a Sparta Unit would be nice thank you, or at least a merc they can hire as they became more dependant on merecenaries later in their history.
Caratacus  [author] 7 May, 2014 @ 10:04am
@BM - It's not an impossibility, although I am trying to keep these kinds of units as a more special kind of unit, so as not to cheapen them when they are available. I'll have a think about it and see if I can't come up with something.
Maximum Broly! 7 May, 2014 @ 12:13am
Any chance of giving Sparta a unit and/or making any of these units Merc/Auxillia Camp Units?

Credits to HappyCompy for his awesome video showcasing the Disciples of Poseidon sticking it to the enemy!

I'll update all my stuff when 12 goes fully live :3 It won't cause any problems for this to be used even if the mod manager says it is out of date.
Wolkveyn 15 Apr, 2014 @ 11:25am
Possible to have MAJ for beta 12 please ? :)
S*E Reaper 2 Apr, 2014 @ 5:29pm
no worries they certainly do add a much needed punch have come in very handy in a tight spot when they go beserk
Caratacus  [author] 2 Apr, 2014 @ 5:26am
@smudge_cd - While I managed to give the rest of the units 2h animations by jimmying around existing files, there currently stand none for 2h swords. I included the Head Hunters to flesh out the pack a little, and as far as being maniacs they certainly meet the description. Apologies for my minor deception!
S*E Reaper 1 Apr, 2014 @ 11:47am
great mod i felt this is what my iceni needed however they only apear to have a one handed sword?...

Gen. HugglyPugglyWuggly 21 Mar, 2014 @ 8:47pm
step in the right direction bro ! Just a few forewords
1) In the classic era the only known use of two handed weaponry was in India and as a back-up by archer's when alexander went through, pikes and maybe ceremonial pieces (correct me if Im wrong)
2) Big weapons are awesome ! but what this means is your units are only going to be used by radious cause div is a historical mod, so maybe tailor it to suit them.
3) Two handed weapons from a gameplay P.O.V mean Damage, Charge, Attack in that order and at the expense of defensive attributes and unit size. Your units while awesome could use more balancing in such a way, apart from sounding like a dick I guess what im trying to say is maybe tailor units to have a specific purpose otherwise why not just download a god mod ?
Gen. HugglyPugglyWuggly 21 Mar, 2014 @ 8:43pm
The spear Breathren should be split into two units, one unit with the same weapon damage lower stat's for the same price and another with slightly more armour for 1200 because they're still OP. Also all gauls of that tier have frenzy.
Headhunters are cool and fit the iceni but a little meh, at no armour and no shield they die too quickly. As well as this they dont do enough damage especially considering that in radious anything affecting morale is useless. Maybe give them two handed swords ? For modeling just extend and thicken the blade.
Chosen Axemen are cool high damage, attack and charge just what a two handed unit really is, unfortunatly for radious it makes units of that tier obsolete drop the men by twenty give them as much extra armour and charge 1100.
Disciples of Poseidon... Not only was the trident kinda shit at killing people but athens doesnt need another spear unit from vanilla to any mod, why not a super heavy javelin unit ?
Osamabama 2020 21 Mar, 2014 @ 7:12pm
not many people back then used two handed anything
Maxton 21 Mar, 2014 @ 5:46pm
Yeah any one else kind of annoyed how the game has NO VANNILA TWO HANDERS ESPECIALLY DURING THIS TIME PERIOD
The Baxterman 21 Mar, 2014 @ 10:58am
you should get new unit cards see if someone will make them for you
Noz 21 Mar, 2014 @ 1:09am

blizzid 20 Mar, 2014 @ 9:06pm
this radious mod friendly?
think what marirvin meant as for females was they fought along side the men or in back of lines shooting arrows also they killed their own men when they retreated :P
Caratacus  [author] 20 Mar, 2014 @ 7:20pm
This unit pack is currently for the main campaign only.
PAX 20 Mar, 2014 @ 6:38pm
tried this in a CIG campaign and the suebi units were invisible. Anyone else having this issue?
Félix 20 Mar, 2014 @ 5:07pm

Updated with fix for the Nervii recruitment and stat tweaks for all units.
Caratacus  [author] 20 Mar, 2014 @ 6:39am
@Physyco I've been looking into this issue and it appears to be a unique problem for the Nervii. I'll continue to have a poke about until I can isolate the issue. Sorry about the wait!
[MT] Light Armor God 20 Mar, 2014 @ 12:54am
my spear units for the nervii dont seem to be able to recruit
Raskolnikov 19 Mar, 2014 @ 7:20pm

Caratacus  [author] 19 Mar, 2014 @ 7:56am
@knmsuperior - Thanks for the feedback. I am planning to properly complete this pack with unit cards, stat tweaks and full historical descriptions (enjoyable nonsense more like). The plan is to update all my mods accordingly when Hannibal hits.

@marirvin - Afaik women are off the cards for the moment. Probably a dlc...

@ Lord Martholomew - While I can't really claim any great historical accuracy here, I don't want to overdo the 2h units, otherwise they might lose that uniqueness they have.

@Archangel - The idea is the Spear Brethren are a native gallic unit, and the Galatians, while still fierce, have been ever so slightly civilized by their time in the East.
JDizzle 19 Mar, 2014 @ 6:34am
Im looking at the screenshots in pure awe! I may need to do a review on this :D

ahh cool, thanks for the information
Gen. HugglyPugglyWuggly 18 Mar, 2014 @ 7:39pm
This mod needs tweaking, the gaul units have more morale than the oathsworn with similar attack and weapon damage and 17 versus large. The poseidon units have no purpose as hopolites can do what they do and better. Headhunter's are cool and fit the iceni, Chosen axe warriors have already been done and better by radious. As well as this the cards are out of whack.

Thanks so much for making this, I would love more Two handed units preferably with more proper looking two handed weapons and according stats. Again thanks a lot for the effort.
Lord Martholomew 18 Mar, 2014 @ 3:29pm
Looks quiet impressive! I was wondering if there is anyway you could make like a standard unit for greek states that use a spear with two hands... just something like a spear band or something that arnt "special" units that can be recruited as a standard two handed spear unit for the all the greek factions.
EVF911 18 Mar, 2014 @ 1:41pm
Women units such as the screaming women from Rome 1?

marirvin 18 Mar, 2014 @ 1:14pm
can you make some female units for the celtic/germanic factions since no one seems to do tht even by roman accounts women were just as quick to fight cant remember the tribes name but rome wiped them out but their women constantly fought beside the men was one reason rome started the whole if u can stand up to a legionaire then you can be one saw it on history channel long time ago but point is women fought and where the hell are they in this game
Archangel 18 Mar, 2014 @ 11:53am
Ok cool. You should add the Spear Brethren to Galatia, though. They could really use them.
Caratacus  [author] 18 Mar, 2014 @ 10:35am
@Archangel That would be fairly simple to do, though I won't in this pack. I don't want to unnecessarily bloat factions rosters, or give everyone very similar units.

@Phoenix - The Chosen Axemen are basically another variety of berserkers. They get less armour than berserkers as they have no shield, but they have even better offensive stats. If you can get them to berserk they will be even more effective. Use them in the same fashion as vanilla berserkers.
Th3_Pr3aCH3r 18 Mar, 2014 @ 9:43am
@Caratacus i checked your mod and it's really great but one thing i think that Chosen Axemen are to weak. I Checked them against any other of your units and axemen have much less warriors than the others... is there a way for you to check it out or was it intentional?
GPM 18 Mar, 2014 @ 9:24am
You make some great mods thanks again:)
