@독도는한국땅 That is something I have thinking about. The destroyer falls off hard at the end of the game in relative strength. Unfortunately, there is no naval melee units in the atomic or information era, so the destroyer gets stuck in place.

One problem with upgrading destroyers to missile cruisers is that any melee promotions the destroyer receives are useless on the missile cruiser. But if you pair this mod with my mod that switches promotions to the other combat class, this problem is alleviated: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2382672854

The other problem with upgrading destroyers and losing the only naval melee unit is the apparent inability to take cities. Thankfully, land units can still fill this role, and I prefer using missile cruisers over destroyers, so I am alright losing that ability.
