the Anchors don't work i think the logic is messed up. thank you if it could be fixed thanks
-_- 21 Mar, 2022 @ 4:05pm
The crane for me does not have enough power to function. So instead I have to use infinite electricity. Just wondering on when this will be bug fixed. :)
Milanvn552 17 Mar, 2022 @ 3:32pm
Very nice build!
CoolG2007  [author] 11 Dec, 2021 @ 3:28am
@Puotek sorry for the very late reply, thanks for the compliments with regards to the ship! The crane can lift the RHIB, it's just not very easy. Mainly since I didn't design it too well. I may one day come back to update it, but a new offshore vessel is higher up on my agenda at the minute than updating this older one.
Puotek 23 Oct, 2021 @ 8:31am
Incredible Vessel. The only problem I have is that for some reason the crane is not powerfull enough to lift the rhib, any ideas to why that is?
CoolG2007  [author] 29 May, 2021 @ 4:05am
My next release won't be the successor, I have a smaller boat planned first, but it'll come eventually. Thanks for the kind words, much appreciated.
P. Rodriguez 28 May, 2021 @ 2:16pm
Good to hear you plan on making a successor mate - I loved the design and concept as multi-purpose ships for rescue missions are a lot of fun to operate, especially when one ship/vehicle can do the job given the lag issues with hosted games. Look forward to your next release!
CoolG2007  [author] 28 May, 2021 @ 11:19am
@Poncho, thanks for the feedback. This is an old boat and I realise the various mistakes I made.

I plan on building a far better successor to this boat in the future, glad you enjoyed some aspects though.
P. Rodriguez 26 May, 2021 @ 10:40pm
Nice work - great detail; unsubbed because it just can't support missions.
P. Rodriguez 26 May, 2021 @ 10:38pm
Too much 'role-play', not enough 'support systems' - the med bay is buried in the bottom deck. I don't think the intent of this ship is to use it to do missions - with the RHIB despawning if it gets too far from the main ship, the main ships slow speed (16 kts) and the layout makes this just too frustrating to use.

an amazing boat! how do i fuel rhib though? i cant find anything! :steamsad:
CoolG2007  [author] 14 Apr, 2021 @ 1:37am
@PilotSanders, there is an electrical breaker for the crane, it's easy to miss, look at the ceiling.
PilotSanders 10 Apr, 2021 @ 9:45pm
Did i miss something on the bridge? I think the crane is broke. Doesn't respond to crane helm.
FlyingCactus878 6 Mar, 2021 @ 12:49pm
How do I drop the anchors? I have the boat running and everything going, but the buttons at the anchors seem like theres no power? Not sure
CoolG2007  [author] 1 Mar, 2021 @ 1:51am
Thanks so much for pointing that out! Gonna send some dislikes it's way!
ACG_Firefly 28 Feb, 2021 @ 6:41am
Cheers,

Meanwhile I found this:

Dubbed "S.S. Rescue" yet it still has 'Polyvelante' wirrten on the side.

lol if you're going to rip something off, put the effort in
CoolG2007  [author] 27 Feb, 2021 @ 1:38am
Ah, okay. Well, good luck!
ACG_Firefly 26 Feb, 2021 @ 1:41pm
By all means mate. I'll most likely give you more credit than I give myself haha.

That's saying if I upload it. Redesigning the interior is easy. I'm struggling with the logic and electrical stuff rn. I cant grasp how add a new node etc.
CoolG2007  [author] 26 Feb, 2021 @ 12:48pm
You can definitely overhaul it @Mike S. And you have my full permission to upload it, as long as you give me a good amount of credit or add me as a contributor.
ACG_Firefly 25 Feb, 2021 @ 8:47am
No worries mate.

too many people just complain all the time. figured its a good way to at least help out.

And this is a cracking build. It looks pretty, is fully functional, and doesn't have a large amount of those annoying empty areas that could've easily been furnished. So by all means, this isn't a bad ship.

In fact, if its alright with you, because I like the design so much. I was wondering if it would be alright if I overhauled it? gives me some practice making my own ships (I really want to learn but don't know where to start). I won't upload it unless I have your say so of course. I reckon this is a good template to practice my 'skills' on ;)
CoolG2007  [author] 25 Feb, 2021 @ 7:33am
@Mike S, I'm working on a new, much better ship than the polyvalente at the minute. All of your advice has been taken into account, and the crane on my new ship will be able to lift it's RHIB much more easily and conveniently. Thank you for taking the time to give this feedback, much appreciated.
ACG_Firefly 25 Feb, 2021 @ 6:41am
To also make it easier to use:

Get rid of that magnet on the crane and equip the RHIB with a couple more ropes.
It would be a lot easier to connect them and move the RHIB that way.

Also eliminates the frequent possibility I've faced where the magnet doesn't attach properly and drops the RHIB 'mid-manoeuvre'

Add a third winch on the crane, and add 3 rope anchors on the RHIB (or repurpose the existing ones), forming a triangle when hooked up to the crane. I use that method to tether down the helicopters I use. Infinitely more effective at keeping it stable.
ACG_Firefly 25 Feb, 2021 @ 6:33am
Problem with the crane

It's too big...

In its smallest possible state (boom retracted as far back) it still overshoots the RHIB. So you're either forced to deploy it by connecting to one side, which is highly inaccurate and makes it near impossible to get off deck. And even if you got that to work, you wouldn't be able to get it back on board because you wouldn't be able to retract the crane far enough.

This would be fixed if you made it so the crane could lift higher, but I imagine it is how it is because of the counterweight on the back.

So ideally, it needs moving. Either to the other end of the deck on the tip of the stern, with its stowed position facing forward, or move it right up to the port hull so the winch is able to accurately be position (ideally) over the middle of the RHIB so you can deploy/salvage it.

The boom is long enough it seems to compensate for the added distance you would need to go by doing this.

Just a suggestion...

Great build but you need check your spelling of Corridor. :)
John Liberty 18 Feb, 2021 @ 11:49pm
oh ok thanks for that idk how i didnt see that
CoolG2007  [author] 18 Feb, 2021 @ 1:06am
@shakkazulu there is a "crane electric" circuit breaker above the head of the crane operator.

@Naxster, I'll fix the gauges and maybe bind the throttle lever, but I don't want to do any more majour updates to this boat I released a week ago now. I'm onto new projects by now, but I'll take all the advice I've received from this build, and use it to make my future creations better. Thanks for the feedback!
John Liberty 18 Feb, 2021 @ 12:53am
How do u control the crane when i sit in the seat only the boom works
Naxster 17 Feb, 2021 @ 12:58pm
Also, if you could bind the throttle to up/down that'd be nice too.
Naxster 17 Feb, 2021 @ 12:33pm
First off, great ship. I'm really liking it. A couple things that I could see improvement on though.
1: The ballast gauges don't work right. They readout ok, but the little bar seems to be set up incorrect. As soon as any water goes in ballast, the bar goes straight to the max position. And when empty, it goes to the middle position.

2: I like the one light that turns on/off automatically with a player sensor. If you could set up the rest of the lower cabin lights the same way, that'd be awesome.

3: Some kind of water cannon would be nice for fire fighting.

Keep up the good work!
CoolG2007  [author] 17 Feb, 2021 @ 10:29am
All of the microcontrollers are at the rear of the ship @williamsa1997
williamsa1997 17 Feb, 2021 @ 10:10am
where are all the cosmetic microcontrolers for angling pannels and stuff? I wanna use the ship but it's a little too laggy for me in it's default state
Vandalich 17 Feb, 2021 @ 5:40am
Realy realy nice work and well done, unfortunately I only have 33FPS at the moment, but maybe that will improve in the future

CoolG2007  [author] 15 Feb, 2021 @ 12:42am
Thanks for the feedback @Executive Callhan, I do agree here, but I thought adding light switches would have been more realistic, and given players control over weather they wanted their lights on or off.

I could do this @Grizzle, but I'm not 100% sure. I think it could be seen as low effort to go and post 2 types of the same ship, but maybe I'm wrong. This boat doesn't feel quite big enough yet to need a lite version. If you'd like to reduce on lag, simply spawn the boat in the middle of the ocean where there's little lag using an environmental mod. Thanks for the feedback.
Grizzle 14 Feb, 2021 @ 2:09pm
you think you could make a lite version with better performance for less high end computers?
=Executive Callahan= 14 Feb, 2021 @ 1:21pm
Love the boat, well detailed and fun to use. Runs well. If I could add anything it would be more player sensor based lighting systems, so you don't have to switch lights on and off a lot to avoid lag. Otherwise it is very fun to use thanks for your creation.
CoolG2007  [author] 14 Feb, 2021 @ 1:51am
You could probably sink it if you left all the doors open during tough weather, but there's no hatch / pump based sinking system in place.
CoolG2007  [author] 14 Feb, 2021 @ 1:50am
No, it isn't sinkable at the minute @GamingTRAIN.
Kachigga My Stigga 13 Feb, 2021 @ 8:08pm
is it sinkable?
Sir Frog 13 Feb, 2021 @ 12:46pm
oh okay thanks!
CoolG2007  [author] 13 Feb, 2021 @ 12:44pm
The ballast tanks are simply for levelling out the boat and making fine adjustments to how it sits in the water. For instance, if the rhib is deployed, the rear of the boat would be lighter than previously, and you'd fill the rear ballast tank to compensate for that. Hope this helps.
Sir Frog 13 Feb, 2021 @ 12:31pm
What are the ballast tanks for?
CoolG2007  [author] 13 Feb, 2021 @ 12:24pm
@Bluebubbles1403, you're supposed to use the crane. @Technician Joe, would you mind DMing me the XML of your improved version here on steam? Thanks.
IpsiddyBippSnipp 13 Feb, 2021 @ 10:39am
How do I deploy the RHIB? Idk if i'm missing something or i'm meant to use the crane
Technician Joe 13 Feb, 2021 @ 8:50am
I found each engine wants its own intake pipe and intake pump and each pair of engines wants its own exhaust pipe and pump so I just traced your routing for the intakes and exhausts adding another set of pipes and pumps where needed to let them breath a little better
CoolG2007  [author] 13 Feb, 2021 @ 1:58am
Thanks for letting me know @technician Joe, I'll make some tweaks to the exhausts and intakes along with the heater update I'm doing today.
Technician Joe 12 Feb, 2021 @ 7:28pm
Not sure if your interested I was playing around with it and got it up to 26 kts with some minor changes to exhausts and intakes. I love the ship it's quickly becoming my go too

CoolG2007  [author] 12 Feb, 2021 @ 12:24pm
Thanks for pointing that out! It's late now, but I'll update it with some heaters as soon as I can tomorrow.
