I might request a buff: that all forms gain +1 Strength, Dexterity or Focus and
that the Strength, Dexterity or Focus gained isn't lost when changing forms.

Alternatively, add a new power to the deck:
Stability, 1 energy, you cannot lose Strength, Dexterity or Focus by any means.

After playing Tornado (swap draw and discard), the animation of Oak Blade returning a card from discard to your hand no longer works.

Very minor bug with Poly Beast Potion: description doesn't update to "6 forms" when you have sacred bark relic.

The issue is that the only information about a relic that's saved by default is its counter (see saveAndContinue/SaveFile.java), so the formsPlayed attribute on FrogOfVitality is lost on reload. So unless you want to fiddle with savegame information, you may want to tweak what it does. E.g.
(a) Track bonus HP granted in relic counter, and grant +1 max HP whenever a form is played, capped by the number of form cards in your deck, or
(b) Refresh formsPlayed each combat (=> no need to save) but instead of increasing max HP just heal 1 HP.
Personally I like the latter option, as it provides more variety than yet another +max HP relic.

Bug with Frog of Vitality: unique forms played are lost when reloading, meaning you can gain max HP increases multiple times.

Animal Heart does not work when drawing a shape using Secret Technique (does not reduce cost to 0, but effect still wears off).

This is such a good mod. You done excellent work. This is the first mod I could actually play through a normal run and not super struggle, and actually win. The cycling mechanic of different forms made me have to plan and try different tactics which feels akin to the Monk.

The garden power description has the basic and upgraded version swapped. Also multiple castings don't stack (not sure if that's intended).

When playing multiple Autumn cards, the wither increase stacks but the draw effect does not. Also the punctuation in the Autumn power description is wrong (showing ".x" instead of "x.")

Great mod - the idea of constantly shifting forms works really well. :steamhappy:
One small bug: The description of the Autumn card and power don't match (power says "draw two additional cards each turn").

@HintofSarcasm Hey thanks so much!!! That makes me really happy that you enjoy it so much. I will look into adding more sounds/animations and allowing you to toggle it on and off. Blooming/Blossoming effects a handful of cards, giving them additional effects if your bloom count (indicated on your Shapeshifter's Magnolia, one of your starting relics) is 10 or higher (20 for Blossoming). It's not always relevant, but can just add a little bit of extra power for more growth-oriented decks!

Love this MOD, and LOVE the cards. I would love if there was a way to add more sound effects to some of the cards? Especially if it was optional to turn them on or off. The animal sounds on the cards and the artwork is exceptional. Also if you ever add animations or simple puffs to shapeshift into the different forms, I'd pay for that lol. I'm having a little trouble understanding what the point of the blooming/blossoming stuff is. I can't find an explanation of what it does anywhere? Again, best mod I've tried in a LONG time. Thank you!

@BottomFeeder Thank you for your feedback! That's definitely a good point and I'm not 100% sure if I'm content with that trade-off or not at the moment. I think more opportunities to trade out forms, remove forms, or add from a greater selection of forms could all potentially be positive additions to the mod. Will think on it!

Because this mod has so many cards, it makes it improbable that you can attain your intent as perfectly as with other base line characters; the end result making it a bit harder. I recommend at the end of act 1 after you fight the boss you create a gathering of shapers event attached to the boss defeat. where you add one card from a selection you deem reasonable, and have the option of replacing one of your existing forms with one of a selection of new forms.

Or really anything to make up for the broad spread of cards resulting in brief runs and false starts. That being said as is its still very good and i don't mind the broad diversity in the run even if it has a cost.

Finished my ascension climb. Some condensed thoughts:

Healing cards are all very strong. Card draw is scarce so more valuable than for most classes. Str payoffs are pretty rare with raptor form being the standout, so cards like form shifter and lion form perform less than one might think. You mustnt let your deck become too passive despite a lot of the block cards being "stronger" than the attack cards. Snecko eye is excellent on the class.

Overall a fun class that is fairly in line with the base classes balance wise. Some unintuitive things remain but its hard to avoid that when upping complexity.

@Wafflmao if they are balanced for A20, then that's a different story and I can't really comment. I mostly play A9 like a pleb. At A9, wither decks seem to take more work/luck than grow decks. It would also be interesting to have a deck that cared more about maintaining balance, because then you would need both types of cards.

@Shedletsky When I was first brainstorming this mod I had a card idea: Reverse Entropy - Revert all wither cards to their starting values. It would allow wither cards to retain their powerful 1st time playing but not be withered into irrelevance later in the fight. Might consider something like this. Another option could be to have wither cards exhaust when they reach 0, so that they don't function like a dead card after X uses.

Something to note though, is that on A20, you sometimes have to sacrifice the scaling of grow cards for better upfront damage for fights like Gremlin Nob and Reptomancer. These scenarios are where wither cards are meant to excel. All that being said, lots of feedback has informed to give wither some additional love. I have added a couple relics recently to help, but will continue to consider more options. Thanks for the feedback :)

Awesome mod. I've played several runs and it seems like growth decks have much more synergy than wither decks. Wither cards seem underwhelming in general and having tried a couple of runs with the wither-enabling powers I avoid them. They need a card that resets the wither count on some/all cards in your deck, in my opinion. Or to be stronger. Or both!

As well as ensonce the synchronicity card seems to really help as well,as if you have that and ensonce you can switch back and forth between growth and wither while buffing your stats,as well as staying in the one form and letting ensonce buff that,,but the fact that synchronicity is a 2-energy cost card is a bit of a problem. Maybe consider lowering the base cost? But more cards like that that bridge the two forms would be good as well.

I'm just experimenting with the mod at the moment so I haven't ramped up the ancesion level to any great extent yet. Just that yesterday I spent a good 6 hours with the mod and only found Dragon Form in the shop twice and I haven't even seen Storm Gyrphon form yet. I only got it by the use of a polyjuice potion.
