Thank you so much for the reply.
I am a huge fan of your Kits (all of them). I could not build most of the things I build without them.
Please make more Ingenious things for us to build with.
Turbo-Laser Ninjadragon 16 Jun @ 3:44pm
Oh wow, I didn't realize this about the domes. it's amazing that you were exploiting the core building mechanics to such an impressive effect before the preferred mechanic even existed.

Re: Massive Domes:

Yes...it would require a larger than normal number of custom curvatures and there could never be a truly indefinitely expandable set where someone could have say ANY size of massive dome they wanted.

I was more suggesting just some snapping large domes for hexagonal arrangements of let's say Six and twenty four triangle hexagonal grids (this would be Two large domes only) and instead of trying to make many custom curved roof segments , maybe custom curved walls to accommodate the large single piece domes?

so sort of a reverse approach?
shogakusha  [author] 16 Jun @ 1:25pm
@Turbo-Laser Ninjadragon thanks for the feedback and suggestion. The domes in Ardashir were designed before there were curved walls in game. At that point there had to be a way to join the dome sections which had to fit within both square and wedge pieces by diameter. Meaning either separate slivers to fill the gaps or incorporate the base into the dome piece.

This does mean Ardashir domes are smaller than Desert Town or even my Fire and Ice mob domes which are designed to snap to curved walls which match their diameter (and don't really allow for four or six-section towers below.

It is a trade-off in capability. Have I considered making Ardashir dome pieces to fit to my Curved Walls? Yes (just haven't gotten to it...yet)

In terms of massive domes, I 100% get the appeal. However they rapidly either lose versatility or require LOTS of pieces with custom calculated curvatures to be able to maintain grid alignment and dome curvature.
Turbo-Laser Ninjadragon 16 Jun @ 8:16am
I have one more suggestion...sorry for the double post.

Play Prince of Persia the forgotten sands (again if you already have). I am sure you will be inspired.
Turbo-Laser Ninjadragon 16 Jun @ 8:15am
This is a beautiful building kit. it took a minute to work out how some of the pieces were intended to be used but all in all I have to say that this Kit fills a niche that many other kits can't EXACTLY fit.

Used together with Desert Town, there's a LOT that can be done.

I would still love to see these domes made separate from the base they sit on as that limits kit mixing, I'd also like to see Really massive domes (that's a request ;) ).

to me, this kit reminds me a lot of Prince of Persia. If there is ever to be an update or additions to this kit, I would love it see more building pieces added that make it full on Prince of Persia.

after that we just need the traps and we're ready for the dream purge!

thanks for the hard work, I've enjoyed many hours building with this!

HI Tricky Kitty

So glad you are enjoying the mod. I know what you are asking about, but never thought about the need for that particular piece. I would invite you to join my discord to post some pics of what you are trying to build that would need such a piece.
tricky_Kitty 25 Apr @ 5:12pm
a VERY VERY beautiful mod. I am so happy I gave it a chance. Even though I wish there was a Adashir Ceiling Dome (flat) as a wedge too it Is all soooo pretty I just know I am gonna the mod either for a leisure garden or bath build, or both lol
shogakusha  [author] 25 Mar @ 11:09am
Thanks for the kind words! @bobbique
bobbique 25 Mar @ 9:55am
I especially like the Ardashir set. Great Work!
shogakusha  [author] 23 Feb @ 8:27am
I made a note on my discord to look into this more as a reminder to self ;-)
shogakusha  [author] 23 Feb @ 8:23am
Hi @Ludimus969 - yeah I have been trying to think about a solution for that. None yet. The curved walls socket very differently than normal walls. It will take a bit more time to come up with workable trickery to accomplish what you are attempting.

Probably a whole custom piece just for that purpose.
Ludimus969 23 Feb @ 8:11am
Shoga, I'm trying to place the Ardashir Wall (Curved)(Lattice) atop either the full or half lattice supports in order to create an entry into a round stairwell. There is a full ceiling tile placed above this. With or without the tile, the curved lattice is not cooperating and refuses to be placed atop anything but a floor tile (which would intersect the room space) or a curved wall piece. What am I missing?
shogakusha  [author] 18 Feb @ 4:26am
Enjoy @Babok3k3 :-)
Babok3k3 17 Feb @ 11:41pm
I like your building mods i took them all :winter2019happyyul:
shogakusha  [author] 5 Jan @ 5:08am
Hi digitalnights, indeed it was a design decision. The original Murun build set was based on the base game building used in Exiled Land's Sepermeru (or specifically the Savage Wilds' Murun.) I wanted the Murun (and later Ardashir) build sets to capture the look and feel of those base game world structures.

Those structures have flat roofing typical of desert and hot weather regions where rooftops are often extensions of the building living space and 'sloped roofing' is uncommon. If you run around Sepermeru's building's roofs you will observe sup a 'lip'

You can always use interior walls or double half walls. I have an Andalusian style villa I built with Ardashir walls using Murayama tiled roofing.
digitalnights 3 Jan @ 1:50pm
Quesrtion, is there a reason that the exterior walls are higher than normal? Like when I put a roof on them there is a gap of roughly a celing tile height betweek the roof tile and the top of the wall? Sorry just a bit confused here lol
shogakusha  [author] 10 Dec, 2024 @ 4:57am
Thanks for the awesome feedback Grand Admiral Thrawn!

I also recently made a passable Zingaran (think Iberian or Andalusian) courtyard villa by pairing with my Murayama Tiled roofing from my Northern Timber mod and using Emberlight Chroma to tint it more orange :-)
Grand Admiral Thrawn 9 Dec, 2024 @ 12:42pm
This mod adds some lovely building materials for if you want to build a middle eastern themed city. It synergizes well with the preexisting Turanian pieces, giving the option of a warm weather themed persian style to complement the cold weather themed style of the turan pack.
shogakusha  [author] 19 Nov, 2024 @ 4:58am
Hi @chaosperl, I believe you need to either be admined up, or server admin needs to enable for non-admins. If that doesn't do it, you are better off asking on Emberlight for Chroma help.
chaospearl 19 Nov, 2024 @ 4:47am
How does the Chroma work? I wanted to change the color of the ardashir set, I'm running emberlight, but when I select paint, pick the ardashir set, and change every single one of the color optiond, absolutely nothing happens at all.
shogakusha  [author] 19 Oct, 2024 @ 10:58am
So glad you enjoy the build set(s)
marudiel 19 Oct, 2024 @ 5:52am
the white and blue pieces are so beautiful, the texture on the walls is so impressive I just know how it would feel to touch it just by looking at it :D And the tiles are so pretty, I wish I had those in my rl home
<Shogo> 16 Oct, 2024 @ 3:40pm
Спасибо. Не хватает элементов с текстурами голубых линий для окон и полукругов.
shogakusha  [author] 2 Oct, 2024 @ 7:37am
@Hektor Riven - Thanks so much for the kind words!!!
Hektor Riven 2 Oct, 2024 @ 3:09am
There are dozens of building sets available for Conan Exiles, yet none of these, be them from DLC or mod, are so convenient as the one you created!

Among the features: spots for archers in the fences, something that, surprisingly, many modded sets don't include... And, above everything else... Slightly larger blocks. People may ask: why should this be such a huge improvement? Well, because of two reasons: no need to place wall foundations which are a heavy performance stress (their stability is problematic for some reasons) and no odd corners made of double 90° angles!

Truly the best set of all to build in the Exiled Lands!
shogakusha  [author] 28 Aug, 2024 @ 4:16am
Hi @MothraGames, I have not looked at SoulMask or their devkit. Most likely I will stick with Conan Exiles. While much of my stuff is custom, a significant portion remains base devkit or CE game assets which are property of Funcom and licensed to modders solely for use with Conan Exiles. So much would not be legal to port to another game.
MothraGames 27 Aug, 2024 @ 8:29am
Such great mods- do you have any plans on porting them to the SoulMask workshop once that comes online?
shogakusha  [author] 28 Jul, 2024 @ 3:59pm
Thanks for the kinds words @bobbique
bobbique 26 Jul, 2024 @ 1:48pm
Really enjoying your mod, great look and feels like it blends into the environment better than the stone one. Keep up the good work :D
shogakusha  [author] 30 Jun, 2024 @ 5:08am
Hi @DaSchu83 - sorry IRL has been busy and I have not been able to monitor Steam well.

Glad you are enjoying the mod. Will take a look at Ceiling Plaster Curved.

I'd be curious to see images of the 'unsightly transitions' you mention. If you would be willing to join my discord and share images in #Feedback and Suggestions where it is easier to track such things.
Songbird <3 1 May, 2024 @ 10:16am
Hello. I downloaded your mod a few days ago because I found it very appealing. I spent a few hours today building a bit. I fell in love with your mod because it is so diverse. Unfortunately, the mod still seems to have some rough edges that need to be worked on. There are components that don't really fit together or you can see very unsightly transitions. For example, I also noticed that a component was missing. Unfortunately, Ceiling Plaster Curved could not be found. Despite everything, a very big compliment to your work.
Fenrir 1980 15 Feb, 2024 @ 8:52am
Great mod
Aloy Sutagaru 12 Feb, 2024 @ 7:25am
Thank you for your quick reply @shogakusha
It's nice
I've already been on your discord for a long time!

I will continue my tests.
I don't want to lose all my buildings, but I'm afraid I have to.
I have a lot of problems with my character, certain Maps, etc.

All your other Mods are in my Modlist and working.
I think there is an incompatibility with another Mod, but I have to find among the 50
If I find it, I'll tell you on Discord
Thanks a lot
shogakusha  [author] 12 Feb, 2024 @ 4:58am
Hi @Aloy Sutugaru, sorry you are having problems.

All my mods are up to date for AoW ch3 and should run without crashes or fatal error. You may want to ensure that your game files and all mods you are using are up to date. If you have been away for a long time there have been a number of modders who left the community and other mods that may not be keeping up with game releases.

There have been a LOT of changes to the building system. If you join my discord, I have a #Mod_Troubleshooting_Guide channel where I walk through basic troubleshooting to try to isolate and identify problem mods while minimizing risk to your saved games.

Hi @ super creator and hi everyone.
Sorry for my poor English.
I'm just a French girl.
I need help.
I'm coming back to Conan after a long absence.
I have a lot of construction mods and others (yours and others)
Sand and stone allowed me “before” to make magnificent constructions. I adore.
But now, it's impossible to keep it in my Mods list.
I uninstalled, reinstalled, nothing to do.
It crashes the game (Fatal error, line 3481)
An idea ?
Are there any incompatible Mods? Map ?
I'm desperate
shogakusha  [author] 8 Feb, 2024 @ 8:30am
Glass? NO, I am generally against glass in my build sets to date. Thematically it is not appropriate. Glass would have been expansive and not easily obtained. Also not really used in historically Mediterranean or Middle Eastern climates that are the inspiration for Sand and Stone.
Nika Alexandrov 7 Feb, 2024 @ 5:28pm
Lol I meant actual windows in them for the window frames, or is the desert set part of this? :)
shogakusha  [author] 7 Feb, 2024 @ 5:10am
Hi @Nika Alexandrov, not sure I understand your question? There are windows in both build sets.
Nika Alexandrov 6 Feb, 2024 @ 1:56pm
Any chance of windows for the mod? :)
shogakusha  [author] 6 Feb, 2024 @ 10:47am
Glad you found them. Hopefully the crash was a one time thing (it does happen in game!)

If you have other issues with my mods I do suggest joining my discord. I have a troubleshooting guide there as well since using mods can become complex to find root cause as more and more mods are added ;-)

Happy building!
Obscure-Cultist 6 Feb, 2024 @ 9:54am
Hello @shogukusha, I checked the knowledge section like you suggested and I found it, thank you! Forgive me, I'm new to this game and this is among my first mods so I don't know what I'm doing half the time. Was a bit concerned that the game crashed after unlocking them and bringing out the construction hammer and asking for a bug report though. Hopefully that was a one time thing
shogakusha  [author] 6 Feb, 2024 @ 9:27am
Hi @Obscure-Cultist, you are sure that you learned the Murun mason or Ardashir mason feats (or are in Creative mode?)

There should be separate sub-categories in the construction hammer for each of those build sets.

If you want to share some screenshots of your learned knowledges and construction hammer, feel free to join My Mods Discord: https://discord.gg/d2SY2HR

Otherwise all I can tell you is that these are working fine in testing both on server and in single player.
Obscure-Cultist 6 Feb, 2024 @ 8:43am
Been trying to get this mod to work on my single-player but nothing's showing in my construction inventory, nor my admin spawn screen despite being activated.
shogakusha  [author] 18 Jan, 2024 @ 5:49am
Hi Jinx, nothing has changed with Northern Timber since 2023-12-23 (v3.0.9) You may want to try having Steam verify files or try unsubscribing and re-subscribing to the mod (do not restart your server or single player game without the mod or risk losing your buildings!)
jinx 18 Jan, 2024 @ 5:07am
I can't get NT to load anymore...
Until yesterday everything went fine
shogakusha  [author] 16 Jan, 2024 @ 12:39pm
@fenrir 1980, today's update was a hotfix, while a new version of the devkit was released by Funcom as well, it was stated to modders, there was no change to the devkit from last update. Merely updated to maintain version parity with base game.

No need to update mods.
Fenrir 1980 16 Jan, 2024 @ 11:49am
Is the Mod up to date for new game version?
shogakusha  [author] 27 Dec, 2023 @ 11:27am
Thanks for the kind words!
Danali 27 Dec, 2023 @ 10:29am
Hi there just adding a comment that I really really appreciate these build sets! They add so many amazing pieces that simply aren't available in the base game (half walls, half ceilings, rounded pieces, etc). Thank you again!!!
Oldwolf 25 Oct, 2023 @ 8:11pm
Your build sets are very precise thank you. Better than the game's sets for sure lol but I luv them all
