Hi! Back in the day that was the plan but too many elements of what I wanted to include were missing and also I went along to other games so I never got around to it at all.

You don't need the DLC to upate your mod. But you have to find a new unique_index for your units because some of them with 8xxx are use by new vanilla units.

I tried and I found out that I can't because I don't have access to all the materials. The units don't look right even in the editor. The problem is that I also can't afford ED right now so it will take quite some time until I can do sth about it.

it's very easy to upload unit mods. Simply make sure to write a correct value in the "unknown10" column of land_units (and so on) where you have to write the long/historical description string. You need a true value there since the update, don't know why. That's all I think. You can use the default for Roman_Ballista (look into the data2 package you'll find it soon).

i cannot recruit new units like topet guard...sacred calvary...

and cannot recruit them as general in campaign - Hannibal at the gate.

I checked that out now and corrected the error. Everything was fine with the building requirements, but somehow a stupid mercenary region requirement kicked in :S
Anyway, everything should be back to normal now. Have fun and thank you for drawing my attention to this!

hmm thats wierd cuz I can only recruit the SB spears and the SB cavalry at lvl 4 barracks. :( :(

Great, I meant that before the emperor edition, the carthaginian mercenary were the cheapest, in a way that when I played as carthage I used to have only full merenary armies. There is also a weak mode out there where carthage takes the african cities of carthago nova and exchanges those taken from carthago nova with qart hadasht and ibossim, can you create such a stronger mod?

Reducing upkeep is a very basic thing. For mercenaries, you modify the upkeep and stats for all, not only 1 faction.

I understand. Another suggestion? maybe make the libyans look more... libyan than they do in vanilla? they use greek_game_skin, but they could look good with eastern skins or north african tan skins mixed in or replaced.

Yeah I might do that in the future. It takes a bit more time because I have to modify each and every one of their units, but it's not very hard.

I prefer your mod to vanilla, but would you consider adding beards to the carthaginian units? CA didn't give them beards and it annoys me.

Yes I was thinking about that also. I wanted to do sth like Poeni infantry had in Rome1 but at the time I made this mod I didn't yet know how to make custom chields. Now I know how to create custom shields (see my Scythian mod) so may do that! :) Thank You very much for reminding me!

Hello!
Basically it removes some units (Car Infantry, Heavy Car Cav) and adds some new ones (Late Libyan Inf, Late Car Cav). Also, some skins have been changed (all the Late units and the Sacred Band).
