Since Mead does not have a "recipe" in the sense most of the game has. I thought modifying the barrel comps is the only way
Would you like me to help you? I'm confused as to how it didn't make any sense to you how to do this.
I am not a proficient modder, I just wanted to get rid of the honey conundrum, but at this point I realize I am out of my depth. I am sorry but in my current state I cannot see this mod progressing further.
I'll keep the mod listed, but do not expect updates. I'm sorry, and thank you all for your help and support.

Here's to another million more patches!
(Also, with the update to the Vikings Mod to use the Universal Processor Mod, I still can't make Mead out of anything but that Mod's Honey.)
Good niche mod. I wasnt getting annoyed when trying to make alcohol since there were like 2-3 different types of grapes, with specific fermenting barrels for each, including 3-4 different honey, and Barley, Worts etc.
An achievement for collecting honey is added by RimBees . Have you already told them about this bug?
I'm getting the same issue as TheSevenSins reported (can't build any of it's buildings) with your mod. And not having them without it.
I'm on 1.2 btw.
On v1.2 this was more useful, but I think this could be misleading when I move the building designations around, as well as causing bugs with Add-Ons for those mods..
So I've currently removed it across all versions
I do not have any external host for the files. Nothing to do with sense of loyalty, just seems kinda excessive to me for such a little project.
Making a local copy of the mod should work as well. Just copy this mod folder ".../steamapps/workshop/content/249100/2415405169/" into your Rimworld folder ".../steamapps/common/RimWorld/Mods/".
Another explanation from a reddit post
I *like* this mod. I *use* this mod. I do not see a place to download it directly. If it does not offend your sense of loyalty to Steam (or any other senses, for that matter), would you please post a link so that I may download it for use even in offline mode?
Teres D.
I am also trying to optimise the existing patches to something more generic so I don't have to patch every mod every single time, but again, I am still kinda bad at figuring out correct syntax. Coupled with my increased workload IRL, updates will slow down.
But I'll try to fix bugs & other issues ASAP if they pop up.
Should be no difference, as brewing is defined in RecipeDefs the same way cooking is, IIRC.
I searched and patched all affected RecipeDefs, I did not exclusively patch cooking only.
I might've missed some defs though, let me know if you find any
Yea, never thought about their icons, although in hindsight it's obvious.
I'll fix that, thanks for the info
Are you sure this is caused by me?
Also, what do you mean by "recorses readout Honey category"? Do you mean the displayed nutrient requirements of recipes? It may be be a mod that does that and got broken somehow.
Is it posible to get this fixed?
This will not really change anything besides more defensively patching, so it should end up more compatible if other mods tend to fiddle with those as well.
As for T1 to T3, they are considered basic to mid-tier. Here is an overview from RimBees' Ludeon page, scroll down to "Notes" [ludeon.com]
Other than that, there was nothing wrong. I was able to create the research at the bee research table. Granted, it currently allows only honey from RimBees, so that could use a patch. Are you running any extra mods?
It should have no impact other than you having to unlock some research of the original mods again.
After a save+reload the error will be gone, but please tell me if some error still happens to you because of it.
Like I do in this mod, you group the items under a new ThingCategory, and xpath the 'ingredientFilter' and 'fixedIngredientFilter' to use that category instead of the old, specific single item.
I don't plan on doing it myself currently, but I think it is easy enough, anyone can xpath. I might push it before the wax stuff, but no promises.
Why that works in C# and redefining the ThingCategory of items does not is beyond my simple understanding of modding RimWorld.
That being said, I plan on removing the dll next update. It inconsistently removes too many research projects from Apini, which messes up their whole tech tree.
So I decided to scrap this idea for now and focus on the ingredient-compatibility of the many kinds of honey.
