Hey, could you update the localisation for bohemian High Chancelor (the emperor rank of merchant republic) from Vysoká Kanclér to Nejvyssí Kanclér? The first one is not quite right gramatically and is using feminine form. Nejvyssí (actually nejvyšší but dunno if you can have š in ck2) means the highest because "high" one doesn't translate well and is correctly using masculine form. And if Nejvyssí is too much you could also use Hlavný Kanclér instead.

@AmbitiousRam There might be some naming issues, but in general it should work.

@Tjuh I really should take a day or two and update it, but I havent played ck2 in a while. The good thing though is that this only modifies localisation files, which have stayed in the same format. So, while this mod does not take into account any new cultures or government types since it was last updated, everything should still work fine.
AmbitiousRam 21 Oct, 2017 @ 11:39am
This work with ck2 plus?
Tjuh 6 Aug, 2017 @ 5:52am
Is this mod still relevant after 3 years of no updates?

@StarSword-C I'm not a 100% sure, but I believe that titles based on religion take precedence on titles based on culture.
StarSword-C 13 Jan, 2017 @ 5:31am
I'm getting Norse titles as a Reformed Germanic German emperor, e.g. my dukes are jarls and my player character is a Har Konungr instead of a Kaiser. Is the Germanic faith supposed to override like that?
Lord Telering 16 Oct, 2016 @ 12:26pm
please can you add that to german loc: an english "Prince-Bishop" in german isnt a "Prinz-Bischof", its called "Erzbischof"
Obscure-Reference 24 Jul, 2016 @ 6:59am
Yes, but if the term didn't exist until 1547 Tsar didn't either.
Also Tsar isn't just a Russian term for emperor. It's rather a term for a Russian high king or kingdom.

There's a difference between Imperial Russia and Tsardom Russia.
Grand Dukedom / Tsardom = Kingdom
Peter the Great, first Emperor of Imperial Russia in 1721 see Tsar isn't the same as Emperor.

You could change it to Great Tsar for an Empire and normal Tsar for a Kingdom. So Tsarevich could be the heir title for Russia.

Why Great Tsar instead of Emperor? Simple answer! I don't think the Byzantine Emperor would approve a Russian Emperor..
SuperPat  [author] 23 Jul, 2016 @ 8:58pm
@Ekrevor That term didnt exist untill 1547, or am I mistaken? Hardly appropriate for a prince, if an emperor is formed, his title is Tsar I believe, but in game terms, the son of an emperor and the son of king have the same title.
Obscure-Reference 22 Jul, 2016 @ 2:29pm
Super cool mod!
Is it possible to change heir titles? If it is please change the title of a russian prince to
Tsarevich / Zarewitsch.

I hope this is the right mod ^^
ccfierywolf 10 Apr, 2016 @ 6:54pm
The mod appears to have stopped working so I was wondering if you would mind updating it please.
SuperPat  [author] 17 Jan, 2016 @ 7:23pm
@Mudcrabs @Yarinarc
Thanks! I'd love to have the time to update the mod further and while the mod is timeless and will never stop working or feel out of place howvever many expansions come out, I am way too busy with university to spend time on it. But if somebody wants to send pull requests on github (And the changes make sense) I'll gladly update it.
Nikiforos V Fokas 16 Jan, 2016 @ 11:14pm
Thanks for the hard work you put in here. o7

If I may suggest names for the Israelite group, the count level should be "Natziv"/ "Netziva" (Male / Female, respectively) and the duke level should be "Shilton" (yes, I stole the duke level from HIP. "Shalit). Due to the fact that King level is also called King in the bible and emperor is still emperor in Hebrew, there should be no change there.
SuperPat  [author] 18 Oct, 2015 @ 1:52pm
@Rickter I'm pretty busy these days and havent had time to add those new titles in, anybody is welcome to leave me a pull request on the github repository. https://github.com/Superpat/HKC/tree/master
ɌƗȻꝀŦɆɌ 16 Oct, 2015 @ 12:07am
really awesome mod, but i notice that, at least for the nordic culture, the new titles are restricted to feudal characters, any chance it could be applied to the tribal ones?
Aleus 15 Sep, 2015 @ 3:16pm
@SuperPat Alright, sweet!
Drake Dangereux 15 Sep, 2015 @ 2:58pm
@SuperPat alright fair enough ^^
SuperPat  [author] 15 Sep, 2015 @ 2:49pm
@Aleus Nope, so you can use it in a multiplayer game with no problem
@Drake I dont really like using simple transliteration, if a word means count or duke I simply keep count or duke, except for imperial titles or cultures that would seem exotic to a medieval lord.
Aleus 15 Sep, 2015 @ 1:22pm
Does this change the checksum?
Drake Dangereux 11 Sep, 2015 @ 5:48am
I have a suggestion for the Dutch culture,Count should be Graaf/Gravin,Duke level title should be Hertog/Hertogin and King should be Koning/Koningin
it's an great mod and i'm using it for a while now,it adds some much needed atmosphere to the game since it just doesn't make sense for Russian boyars to be named counts haha
SuperPat  [author] 8 Sep, 2015 @ 9:18am
I'm very occupied right now, but will update when I have the time
DevilSauron 31 Aug, 2015 @ 10:37am
Have you considered updating it and localising titles added after last update?
SuperPat  [author] 8 Jun, 2015 @ 1:55pm
You're welcome! I've been away for a while but I'll check if I can overhaul some parts I may of forgotten.
inhyeon 7 Jun, 2015 @ 4:24am
This is an excellent flavour mod and I'm loving it. Thank you!
swampy 17 May, 2015 @ 6:59pm
So how does this mod interact with CK2Plus? Any conflicts?
? 8 Feb, 2015 @ 7:52am
@SuperPat: why do i see that u have chanced the finnish name for a emperor (keisari) to chancellor (liittokansleri)??????????? I dont see any point in that and could u please chance it back to what it was?
Lord_Daemonar 3 Nov, 2014 @ 9:49am
Great! Thank you!
SuperPat  [author] 2 Nov, 2014 @ 10:27pm
Yes!
Lord_Daemonar 2 Nov, 2014 @ 6:37pm
Does this work with 2.2?
SuperPat  [author] 26 Oct, 2014 @ 4:26pm
I'd like for the subject to come back to the mod now, this argument has gone long enough,
HejavKe 26 Oct, 2014 @ 9:10am
English Crown? It's not english it's british. Also it was a scottish king that united england and scotland
SuperPat  [author] 25 Oct, 2014 @ 1:50pm
I think we're arguing about different things here, you're talking about the United Kingdom as it is today, I'm simply talking about the historical significance of the concept of kingdoms in the british isles, though I believe my message got muddled along the way.
Whap XI 25 Oct, 2014 @ 9:59am
If you want to see it like that, then she's basically the Queen of about a dozen kingdoms. With that logic she's also arguably the Queen of Mercia and Wessex and Northumberland and Strathclyde etc. The Principality of Wales was totally annexed in the 1500s into the Kingdom of England. In the early 1700s, the Kingdoms of England and Scotland, ruled by the same monarch, were formally united into the Kingdom of Great Britain. It was only called the United Kingdom after the union with Ireland, which made it all one Kingdom. They may have originally been several Kingdoms, but they were all dissolved and gradually annexed by the English, into one Kingdom.
SuperPat  [author] 24 Oct, 2014 @ 4:42pm
While it is true that nowadays the proper term is "United kingdom of Great Britain and northern Ireland" that particular name was chosen since wales was a principality and scotland and ireland were both kingdoms.

These countries retain their individuality under the english crown, and while their is a lot of centrilization, the queen of great britain is still basically the queen of three different kingdoms.

But still, my point was that the clts and the english really like their kingdoms :P
Whap XI 23 Oct, 2014 @ 11:13am
Your point about the "United Kingdoms" is really not true. The only Kingdom is the United Kingdom of Great Britain, which was formed in 1707 by uniting the Kingdoms of England and Scotland into one Kingdom, called Great Britain. This also covers Wales, which has always been a part of the Kingdom of England. There has never been a King of Wales. Also Ireland is not a part of the UK. So to sum up, it's not four crowns under one ruler, it's one. Also it's called the United Kingdom, not United Kingdoms.
SuperPat  [author] 21 Oct, 2014 @ 1:56pm
Yes, this only changes localisations so its pretty timeless.

Though there are no cultural dependent localisations for the tribal titles or the new cultures yet, but I'll fix that as soon as possible. (I've already started actually, you can get the new celtic titles on the github version)
Dark 21 Oct, 2014 @ 4:55am
does this work with the new dlc
SuperPat  [author] 20 Oct, 2014 @ 12:38am
Well the "United Kingdoms" are named because they are 4 different crowns under the same ruler, but nonetheless, Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England, 4 crowns born of a myriad of petty kingdoms and tribes, history is interesting.
Sir Sparhawk 20 Oct, 2014 @ 12:15am
yeah true. history tends to focus more on single rulers and when dealing with england one ruler but thats probaly the more recent history. i always thought the united kingdom part came from the whole england ierland wales and scotland thing coming of the back of the old british empire
SuperPat  [author] 19 Oct, 2014 @ 10:31pm
That comes from the culture files, some cultures like the norse, anglo-saxons and celts have a dukes_as_kings flag in their culture file.

It actually makes for quite a historical setup, when you think that every single irish chieftain called himself a king (Hence the high-king in irish politics), or that the anglo-saxon realm was separated into seven kingdoms called the heptarchy.

I mean they still calls themselves the "United-Kingdoms", gotta be a reason ;)
Sir Sparhawk 19 Oct, 2014 @ 10:23pm
yeah looks like the dlc not yoyr mod

Also is there any way to stop every single duke from getting the title king. Playing the old gods and now charlemagne it always seems really wierd that the british isles have about 50 kings.

always seemed like a title that should hold more waight and not be quite so comon
SuperPat  [author] 19 Oct, 2014 @ 10:16pm
Simply new localisations for tribal titles, I' m checking them out.
Sir Sparhawk 19 Oct, 2014 @ 4:12pm
This seems to be directly related to the new trible system as when i upgraded to fuedle it went to the titles i used to get under your mod
Sir Sparhawk 18 Oct, 2014 @ 8:21pm
I started as a female single county count and had the title cheifstes or how ever it's spelled. but when i made a dutchy it gave me the title king. it was in the new charlemagne era starting on noob island
