I know this is almost 6 months too late. But it's actually not hard to fix it. It needs two new txt files and folders called portrait_categories and portrait_sets.

> adhum_portrait_categories.txt add the following:

Any potential updates to this mod? I really enjoy the portraits and want to use them unfortunately the update changed the way portraits work.

It'll likely happen, it's going to take time. They completely rewrote the species code from the looks of it.

Hello Mr_Wizz! I I just wanted to say that I really love your Additional Humanoid Portraits mod. It really adds a lot of variety to the alien humanoid species you can encounter. I am working on a species mod called "Species of Stellaris" and I would love to implement your creation into it. I was looking if I can be granted permission to use the mod in this way. Thank you for your time and I look forward to your response.

How do I replace some of the vanilla species with this? I don't like quite a lot of bugs, fungoids species, I want to keep them tho for the mechanics, I just want to change their looks.

For now origins mod is "frozen". No updates expected in near time, but I'll try to update it some time in the future. There might be some bugs for sure.

Do you know if your "More Default Origins" mod still works with the current update? Sorry for asking over here, but comments are disabled there and there is no indication as to if it does still work or not.

They should appear as primitives and random empires.

Hi! Are you ok if I include your mod in a large portrait patch (still requiring users of the patch to subscribe to your mod) but modifying some files to include the portraits in the default Paradox categories?

Thank you for some reason it was in the additional humanoids section so I thought it was part of the mod, either way now that I finally have a name I can get the standalone version and have them back. So either way thank you for the reply.

@Magnus This portrait is not mine and was never included in my mod. It looks like Zyralynn species Zamite. It is still on the workshop.

OK, did some tests and conclusion: Not compatible with SE Humanoids. Not sure why, but if both mods are loaded half the portraits from this mod won't show up regardless of load order. Just a heads up.

The "Additional Humanoids" option is not appearing in the empire creator when I wrote my previous comment -- but I will test it again and see what happens.

@paulo Hm, everything is okay on my end. In empire creator you should have "Additional Humanoid" in appearance.

I will be honest with you: I thought that your mod had too much portraits "inspired" by other games -- games like Mass Effect and Warhammer 40K -- and I was seriously tempt to not subscribe to it anymore. But then I thought "well, if I had to wait until Paradox adds new humanoids in game, hell will be frozen far before that happens" -- so who cares if some of your portraits are "inspired" by other games or not, right?

I really like this, but the blue aliens' hair is IMHO too white. It looks like you just ran it through a desaturate filter, so it's lost all its detail. A light grey tone that keeps the original texture's detail would look a million times better. (I take it they're Andorians? If you could find a way to include some antennae-- maybe from this Molluscoid portrait, I think you'll be cooking with gas! https://stellaris.paradoxwikis.com/images/2/2e/Molluscoid_normal_08.png )
