Report a translation problem
Only some minor problems to dispatch crews and man the guns ( need to get out and reenter as gunner )
A screenshot called "ambush" is actually one of the jeep accidentally explosed ?
Thanks for this group and possibilities for LRDG raids , I think also to south Algeria with Legion or Saharian patrols with minor changes only
I just tried the jeep ,better this time and I just realized that all items are functionnal !!!!!
I am not really easy with editor , specially with French translation -useful to me- but often difficult to match the original.....
I'll try more and make pics...
Thanks for taking the time to share a bit more detail. While you can use the 'Translation Widget (2)' in the editor to move along XYZ axis, I haven't found a way to rotate without having to fix misaligned gear by hand. Re: unit positions and things being off - I mentioned in the notes about first-person view for drivers, is this something else? In the Opel, you should really only have a Driver, Front Psgr, two gunners entering using the action on the Opel (not the turrets). Re: storage, maybe I can make some adjustments there, you should also be able to add either in Editor or in game using the vehicle's cargo, which should be empty. Re: Desert Rats in the composition, I figured players would just have whatever units and loadouts already and delete anything pre-placed. Plus, it's easier enough to move units in, moving units out of this composition was more of a hassle for me. If other folks also feel the same way I'm happy to add em and update when I get a chance.
I tried with 6 men but spent much time to have vehicles in march order : always some items went out, above or vanished (?) placing 2 men in each vehicule was ok but four in Opel difficult (positions choice) , once done it looked fine and ready to move ....but it took a very long time for two vehicules only.
If you place/fix the small accessories for deco and just keep some crates for the player to fill as wished, the men may have their own stens/ammo/grenades -even drivers were OK like this- it'll make life easier. Hope you can do _ I'll really enjoy trying !
Thanks for checking it out and for commenting. Can you be more specific about how it could be made easier to handle? Are you referring to the vehicle handling itself, getting in/out, or placing/moving it in the editor? All of which are just what comes with BI's compositions - I can't tweak much about the handling, but I tried to move the placement of gear so as not to block players from being able to easily enter each vehicle position. Anyway, hope you enjoy!
Your vehicules are really nice and historical, thanks for your work
.....but : please could you make it easier to handle , it's a headache now
Also, why not put all close to Desert Rats with a minimal crew and let player add his own ?
Anyway it's a good " Premiere" , sure you'll give us great scens opportunities
