nevermind, I trimmed it down and might possibly get it to fit.

will there be a V4 anytime soon? I am building a ship that is so small that even this doesnt fit in it. I have no idea how to make good modular engines and want to avoid using the old ones as much as possible.

working on a build using these massive engines. love them they are easy to fire up but for some reason at about 1-2 mins after leaving port the engines idle wayyyy down then they go up then they go wayy down and stall out. hooked them to fluid jet drives and the big gal goes but then dies out. very confused. please advise. thank you and great build!

I dubbled the cooling system and for some reason when at low RPM it gets hotter than with high RPM any idea why? And how should I decrease the load I think it´s based on the weight of the ship bcouse when I remove 2 of the props the load stays the same :/

Stormworks is very agressive on the heating of engines, basing it off a function of RPM and throttle input. Putting the engine under heavy load will make it need a lot of throttle, which produces more heat (instead of just basing it off RPM which is the main contributing factor in real life due to friction). Try to run it at as low of an RPM and as low of a load as possible. It's got plenty of cooling, so it should be fine under normal loads.

hey I don´t know if I´m doing something wrong but as soon as i connect the eingine to 4 large props the temp just takes of an the engine is on fire after 10 min

Are you engaging the clutch properly? It does not engage automatically, you need to set it up yourself. Make sure to engage it slowly and at relatively low RPM's to avoid overstressing the gearbox and breaking it.

Good to hear! :)

Cool, will be looking forward to it.

I'm planning to make some smaller generator, especially as I need one myself for my current project. Will probably be some kind of 4 cylinder 1x1 size generator that'll turn on automatically when needed.

I love your style of engines, they are so detailed. Is there/Are you planning to build Marine Diesel Generator in I4/6 form? I would be interested using one in my current build.

Updated to fix some quirks with the cooling system, as well as just generally beefing it up. Make sure to use the latest version to ensure safe operation of your Kahrstrom Marine engine.
