Report a translation problem
I changed the turret settings and ship's shape a lot to adapt new battle changes, but not satisfactory. I had to make big to defeat Tovera, otherwise the battle capability is still weaker than my expectation. I do not want to make big one... which is irony for me.
Only I could defeat TOVERA with my big ones, THANATOS or ATHENA.... The update seems to be related to shield and need time to experiment more...
Good thing about this modular approach is that you can use Helios as compatible option :)
The only reason I am making new Carrier is for M/V on users, Helios would be too slow for them.
My new carrier is designed to handle more than 60 kt additional cargo weight for M/V on.
This modular approach would be much efficient option because of high-g dropship needs and huge storage requirement especially for voidium.
Regarding the gap near shower, it is hide and seek place ha ha. just joking. I will fill it later~
Testing with two of the new storage modules added, I got about 12 kt of weight added before I couldn't lift off from a 4g planet. Should still be plenty for clearing POIs after killing them =)
I am sure the size class of Hercules Carrier would be less than 10. It is much smaller than Helios :) the carrier design was tricky because I wanted the carrier to be as small as possible while having more than 10 large SV/HV spaces and carrying 4 mid-large CVs with additional 4 default modules (2x storage, garden, dropship)
The carrier sounds like an absolute unit. Server I'm on has a max spawn size of 18, so hopefully it's useable without having to rip out too much.
Also, thank you for letting me know that lift is ok with additional storage module. I will try to publish some more modules including storage unit this weekend. Though not sure about the main Hercules Carrier itself haha. It has 50 drive thruster (will make it upgradable) now and still tuning for the best maneuverability.
I would recommend to use the alt variant for some of the sentry guns, as well as a few that can clear out under the main body. I personally prefer to use the main weapons for poi bashing, miniguns for drones, and sentries to keep immediate area clear of annoyances.
As for lift, I've done 3.5 320k full of loot and poi bits (mostly full blocks) from a 3.97g with the apollo, so your Hercules should be able to handle the same.
I uploaded one additional screenshot to help you understand the concept :) the prototype storage module has 4x 320k containers and 5 advanced constructors and weighs only ~630 t.
# One Limitation of this design: If M/V is off, no worries, but if your M/V is on, it might not be able to navigate really high g with full stocked 2 storage unit attached, so need to be careful.
There is one secret or bug which helps us a lot, which is actually game limit. So, no need to put storage CV inside.. you will know once you have serious fight & lose shield :)
Could probably be fixed with a smaller drop ship with dedicated storage for a salvage boat or putting a container CV inside the Hercules.
