typically getting the station in low attention mode (teleport elsewhere) and back should make a new trader spawn (=restock)

Great idea but I could pretty quickly afford to buy numerous 4* seminars. Will this not give me a clear advantage over the AI or can they too use them?

I'm not sure what triggers the trader inventories to refresh, but that does need to happen before the changes show up, if you add it to an existing game.

I have the following problem: all the higher level seminars show up in the list for traders but they don't carry them. They only have the 0 and 1 star seminars. I added the mod to an existing save file, so that might cause the issue.

Yes, though it will flag your game save as modified (which would prevent ventures from functioning in the future, if/when they turn that functionality back on)

Hi, I love the mod, saves me the tedious searches for half able crewman. However I find the prices of the books ridiculously cheap. I think a 4 to 5 star book should cost millions, just as hiring a skilled pilot on a station does.

I've reported this restriction as a bug to Egosoft. I'm not holding my breath, but perhaps they'll relax this restriction to a warning, or get rid of it.

Unfortunately I am not able to publish the fix for SWI. Egosoft has set up the workshop upload tool to deny using non-workshop dependencies, which is what needs to happen for this to work.

I attempted to add this to my content.xml <content /> node:
<dependency id="SW Interworlds" optional="true" />

I receive the following:

X Workshop Tool Version 1.11
Copyright (c) 2021 EGOSOFT GmbH
ERROR: There are dependencies on non-Workshop extensions

SWI can do their stocks.xml patch better. Right now, they replace the whole trader inventory node, which includes overwriting the seminars.

If you can find some way to "load" this mod *after* SWI, it should work.

I verified it worked in the beta, and it works in my ongoing game on 5.x

Did you just add it to an existing game? If so, it'll take a while to take effect, I believe.

Looks like this is done in 'md/conversations.xml' - search for "event.param == 'g_seminar_piloting'" and "event.param == 'g_seminar_management'"

Elsewhere in the file is where they are added to the dialog wheel. I think if you wanted to implement additional seminars you'd need to add a new sub entry to put them in? Not sure.

This certainly looks doable though. Might get around to it.

I was disappointed when I saw that there *used* to be (nonfunctional if i remember correctly) seminars for the other skills, but when they reworked them in 3.00, they only carried over the piloting and management skills. There's nothing else in the stock files.

I wouldn't doubt there's a way to get it done, but it probably requires scripting and I haven't looked into that aspect of modding at this time.
