I have a fix that removes the improvement from the city-state entirely.
Instead the Cree city-state pulls the trade route abilities from Poundmaker instead of Cree.
Having trouble uploading to Steam right now. I'll get it up soon!

Oh, for some reason the game doesn't want to allow the improvement to show up nicely for other civs. I'll patch it when I get a chance, but it'll probably break stuff

Every DLC was enabled and I was playing as Rome.

Is there anything that can be done about mekewaps given by the city-state being big exclamation marks?

I love the idea of this mod. But what happens if that civ is already in the game, does the city-state equivalent just not appear?
Also any plans on doing this for the vanilla civs?

yeah, i figured it'd be more complicated. i'm sure you can figure it out though! i'd love to help but unfortunately, i'm not exactly knowledgeable when it comes to more complex modding like that, so all i can do for now is cheer you on from the sidelines c:

@WitchyStella that was my original intention actually. Unfortunately it's not such a simple thing to do. I am in the process of figuring out what it would take to do that. For now this is the next best thing, besides a toggle for each individual civ.

would there be a way to make it so these are only added as city-states if they aren't picked by a player? similar to how barbarian clans get uniques from civs that aren't in the game?

Very cool idea. Have you thought about giving the city states the trait that grants that Civs unique unit? Then they can also build that unit and the player can levy them

Looks like an interesting mod! Do you know if the city states keep the city styles of their original civs?
