Yeah its an old bug I completely forgot about. Ill give it a fix but it will be at least a week before I have time to get to it

Hi, so as I am playing around using this mod, the Transporter keep resetting it locked direction each time I reload the world. Is there an update you can to to keep it from changing the set direction?

Animation if bugged. Currently the rings sit above the block and when activated they rise even higher and then return to rest on the top of the block. As well there is no sound when the rings activate. Can't remember if that is how it was or a bug as well.

Unfortunately i will not be adding it to modIO. Some key elements to the script running the mod are run client side for syncing location purposes. While this can potentially be updated to run entirely serverside, making it modIO compatible I have not the time to do so.

Hi i like this mod, however it seems to possibly need updating as the ring animation is broken and seems to only go say from up to down position but no the other way?

So, looks like it might have been a bug from the 2 grids being connected when the upper ring was initially powered, and took a game restart to actually update. loading the world up today and both rings worked perfectly fine from the start.

They were 2 separate grids. I did connect the 2 at one point to get some power up there, but have since build a dedicated solar array and disconnected them again. I can try completely dissembling and rebuilding the top ring platform, but i have noticed some other bugs in my world, so might just be a corrupted save.

Same grid? if so then it only "registers" the first gate It would require a major update to the code to fix. Breaking the pillar should solve the problem.

Going down seems to be bugged for me. I built a ring, then a 20 km pillar straight up, and then a second ring, so the 2 rings were perfectly aligned. The bottom ring will connect to the top, but the top doesn't connect to the bottom.

Alignments tight, so if you go down your ship will need to be directly above the rings (by that i mean if you drew a line straight up).

Rings will teleport down but wont teleport up? One goes Green/Blue but the second stays yellow

thiers if i recall a 15 degree cone that the destination must be inside, the ring should turn green when it has a lock

Ring platform is currently working as of automations update however Eye of Rah is bugged. Ive got 2 mods that have took a functionality hit with automations and am working on fixing them but probably wont until the weekend.

They were only about 2Km apart since I was just testing them. Both had power, the rings "worked" as they would go up and down on command, but I wasn't teleporting

I can ask, will copy paste what you said in below post. Dunno whether he will go for it. I think he has edited that sbc file and raised cost to 3,333.33 naquadah ingots for 1 segment. For a small gate its 7 million ore to refine enough for small stargate. Asteroids are a scarcity so, its brutal. Thanks for reply. At least if I ever can make my own server I can edit sbc for players.

If its material component costs for the gates you can always repost the mod just modify the sbc files to adjust the price and follow my generic repost rules for my mods, Keep it unlisted, link back to original. Making it unlisted will still automatically download to anyone joining a public server

Ok that's a bit in depth i am only week 2 into python lol. Could always just increase default max distance. maybe could do that. but will need to learn more code. was hoping to use as substitute for your stargate as its material requirements are excessive. Maybe 100 naquadah per segment? Private server, not a problem. On public servers its murder. Thats why I accepted Gwindlars glitchy gates, as they are accessible. Except when not included in public server lol. Even though yours has some very good points. If ever get good at coding I would actually merge elements of both gates into one. But that is far into the future. Thanks for reply.

Possible yes, but I have no plans on updating this mod with any added functionality at this time. It would require though having a public variable (a range ratio variable) that would be multiplied against the configured distance when it does the range checks. Either the model would need to be changed to add upgrade module dummys to allow an upgrade module block to handle the change or the upgrade block would have to be scripted to modify the variable of its neighboring block if placed correctly. If you wish to implement that type of functionality feel free to reupload as long as its unlisted and links back to the original mod.

Would it be possible to add range extender blocks? For example 50% on base distance, stack-able to a set limit. Or a single block with adjustable distance but takes longer to run and uses more power. An general estimate for maximum range could be double/ triple the current default of 50 km.

are you talking about a pair locked on? if so when 1 is locked on the other might not be if its not aimed right only the aimed one will show green. If this isnt the issue It might be a sync issue. Im working on changing parts of the code to sync visuals better but its not ready yet. if you teleport from the green pad it should work. hope that helps but an update with better syncing is coming

Hello, there is a problem with the automatic locking of the ring platform, one shows green and can be teleported, and the other shows yellow and cannot be teleported.
