@BugWolf Ok so basically when it comes to the About.xml thing...I kinda just forgot to include the mod as a dependency and never got around to fixing it.
As for how it works, basically if there are two sprites/textures with the same file name and folder path then the one that gets loaded last replaces the one that was loaded first. That's why most "retexture" mods are basically just a folder with About.xml and a bunch of pngs.

OK, I know I don't understand much about programming a Rimworld mod, but yours really baffles me. How do you make it depend on any mod? There's no Manifest and the About doesn't mention anything it depends on. Is it just the Patch operations?
I only used this texture once a couple of versions back, I think. I had some lag problems and I thought I could reduce it by loading less graphics. Now with 1.6 I feel so little lag that I almost want to try everything again. BTW, I love the textures you created. Much cleaner than the original, and more in theme with my taste. Thank you for your dedication.

@MrKociak just a heads up it still shows the original, deprecated "Beam me up Scotty" as a required dependency in addition to the Mlie continued version.

@MrKociak Thanks!

Updated it just now

@Irismono I guess I can, I'll just need to change the required version to Mlie's version

Will you be updating this retexture since Mlie has continued BMUS?

Thanks for the permission! They look fantastic!

I finally finished a rough draft of my mod. There's still quite a bit I'd like to improve and add, but I think I've spent enough time on this project for now. Took me a while to figure out C# and RimWorld's code.

I'm not sure if I'll ever get around to updating it to 1.3 or releasing it on the workshop...

Anyways; here's the link if you or anyone else is curious.

I credited you both in the project's readme and the about file.

@Honshitsu yeah sure go ahead, I'd love to add it to my list when it's out :p

@MrKociak First, I'd like to say that your "lazy" retexture is beautiful!

Second, due to some personal annoyances I've experienced in my latest game, I'm in the middle of making a teleporting mod and I'd love to use one or more of these textures. I'd be happy to add you as a contributor and give credit. While it's true that texturing is my least favorite part of modding, I mostly just love this aesthetic!

May I have your permission?

"Bare minimum". Did you even see the original textures? This is infinitely better

@somr if you click on "Beam me up Scotty" in the required items spot (should be on the right) it will send you to the original mod

@Jazz Hands Jim I might make retextures for other ones, but I'm currently busy with other mods.

You wouldn't happen to be planning on changing a lot of those other lighter than fast mods textures to look vanilla, would you? :sfsurprise:

Very nice
