It just allows them to engage at a shorter range. So technically it actually increases their chances to attack anyway. So really they have a bonus against sword infantry without actually in giving then a bonus. As spears have a minimum range where they can attack.
Does it change the look of the spartan units?
Does it change the stats of the spartan units?
The rest of my mod will be working you just won't see it because of those two tiny overlaps.
If you have PFM you can fix the issue with one tiny copy paste.
Then give them swords in the variant editor and stick the Variantmeshdefinition file in your mod.
Even then changing stuff in there wouldn't affect frequency between spear and sword either. I haven't quite figured out how to modify those animations as they differ slightly from shogun 2 animations by having an extra file. A .anim file and a .meta file while shogun 2 only had the .anim file. But I can assure you changing things in there won't make spear animations more common than sword animations and they are rigged to different things.
