*Edit* Correction to my previous statement, opening speeds ARE affected, but door HP still is not. Still worthwhile mod to use for me. Ymmv

After a very brief bit of testing in 1.5, the doors do have quality that impact their value, and are uninstallable, but their hit points and opening speeds appear to be unaffected.

a little sorry about that then i have wooden door worth hundreds of $ and with over 50 of them over base it raises wealth by over 25k $ :noshurt::steamfacepalm: now i see why i suddenly have such a tough raids in some while D:

This is a wonderful mod, and I am glad you made the doors with a quality def, but not an art def.

@StevenZero, I have notices that with the use of this mod Misc robots that implement the different helper robots are not able to use the doors.

@a33theo, it's too smallish of a mod to set up a repo for. Search in google for dnSpy. It's a software that lets you decompile the assembly files and peek inside, good luck with your mod :)

@Xurker, figure out the location of your rimworld mods, should be something like C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100, find this mod's directory, should be 2455489002. Remove <minifiedDef>MinifiedThing</minifiedDef> from patches/core.xml

@SteveZero throws 3 errors when used with the "Minify More" mod, logs here: https://gist.github.com/HugsLibRecordKeeper/878eaae723aec6df8f53cb3897af2f81 lines 164-173 for relevant errors, seems to be because both mods allow you to minify doors, you said we can go into the mod files and remove door minimization from this mod, which files and lines do we need to delete for that?

i am triyng to make a mod that applies quality levels to meals in a similar way and i was hoping to use your mod as a base, but i cannot find raw code for your mod. If you cold make that available or point me twoards where it is i would greatly appreate it!

This looks amazing. Yet another mod that should be in the basegame lol.
Going to have to replace a lot of doors, but well worth it for the speed and wealth increases.

Why isn't Doors Expanded (dev) able to be patched with this mod? I don't have much modding experience, but wouldn't it be as simple as adding the defs to the same .xml as the original doors expanded patch?

@SteveZero, very true, however this is why compatibility with mods like Quality Builder are nice, since you can select what you want the minimum quality of your walls to be depending on the area, that way if they aren't built well enough, they are deconstructed and rebuilt until they do, and if it's a wall you don't care about, you could just set it down really low, since it's not neccasary. (is the type of guy who builds triple thick outer walls for security and insulation). Also, yah minimizing walls is weird, yes.

Also, high quality interior walls still provide a beauty boost, which is mildly helpful depending

@DRT99, nope, though u could go into the mod files and remove that, but since its a def modification its not something I can make optional via a mod setting.

@Alexander Arkane, thanks. I've thought of quality walls too, but then you could end up with high quality walls in places where they aren't needed and making them minimizable so you could put them in a better place doesn't sound right.

This mod is awesome. Any chance we could get this for Walls too? would be fun to have all of my walls be able to be high quality too if I have a very skilled constructer, and make my base even tankier (or even weaker if I'm just starting out), and would help with some end game raids~

Personally, I feel quality should effect EVERY BUILDING in the game, but I digress, it would be nice to have it apply to at least the ones that are going to be shot at/attacked alot! :D

My mistake. VFE - Spacer adds reinforced walls.

I been using them for so long, I forgot that the doors aren't actually VFE.

@Forekast, I'm not aware of vanilla expanded adding any reinforced doors, but their mods are pretty well coded so this mod should work fine with any doors added from those series.

Doors Expanded mod patched. It creates its own base defs rather than using the game's generic ones for doors. so quality stat needed to be added explicitly to them. I'll check out hospital expanded next.

Hospital Expanded was causing an issue. If I remove it, ALL doors, even other modded, start working with dub's quality.

@dinhkhiem199833, it's possible those mods did a 180 by not basing their doors off of the vanilla doors. In which case, this mod wouldn't affect them. I'll check them out to see if a patch is needed.

I've encountered possibly a bug where doors from some mods such as Glass+Lights, Hospital Expanded and Door Expanded (probably there is more) don't have quality but vanilla doors still have quality.

@Unimportant but-actually-very-important person, I just tried both mods together and it seems to work just fine. I set blueprint for door, set quality to good, took pawn a couple of tries but each time it automatically deconstructed and rebuilt the door. Did it not work for you?

This is very good. Is there a way it can be made compatible with Quality Builder? It is a mod that lets furniture with quality levels specify a 'minimum' and, if not met, will automatically designate the inferior furniture for disassembly and replacement until a suitable one is found.
The two would be very happy together!
