DISCLAIMER: This mod has been discontinued. The amazing Aegis Team has implemented a lot of the same ideas I had for this addon into their amazing mod, go check them out!

I'm currently not able nor interested to continue updating this. I'm silently and slowly working up another unanounced project where some of the ideas here (like the M65) may resurface, however, no guarantees.

This addon will remain on the workshop for use as it currently stands.

yep youre right i realized that some time after writing this. lol. If I were with bohemia, I would have given black mags, because its more aesthetic. but thats their design choice. oh well. Thanks for making the mod! Huge fun with the SPAR-16! Ridiculous fire rate and handling!

Negative, it's an oversight on the icon. The sand SPAR-16 uses sand coloured mags. The khaki SPAR-16 uses black 30rnd mags and khaki 100rnd mags.

great mod! The magazine on the sand colored gun shows up as black on the icon, but its sand colored. I think it should be black. Since the khaki one is correct, with a black mag, I assume this is a bug on the sand colored one.
Im checking out your other mods too, very nice work!

UPDATE:

M65 IAR has been added. Wasn't in much of a modding mood this week, so a few things were left undone, but I still wanted to release it for everyone's enjoyment - the weapon itself is fully functional and the textures are finished, it behaves like a regular MX SW with 30rnd mags (for now).

7.62x51 Zafir would be really useful, specifically with GreenMag and Arma3's 150Rnd_762x51_Box .

Small update adding joint rails support to the vanilla AKM, which now is able to use AK-specific optics and muzzle attachments from mods such as NiArms and RHS. CBA_A3 is now a dependency for this mod. Unfortunately, the AKM (Flashlight), due to being an older model, cannot benefit from this.

Absolutely, yes, that will be possible. Provided they provide us with the sources for GL Carrier Rig vests, that would be quite easy, as we'd just have to copy the pouches over from one to another.

Yes, definitely. The grip is a a part of the model. Official Arma 3 models cannot be legally modified. When Bohemia Interactive releases the lincensed public data package (aka samples) containing the public source of these models, which they have said should happen this year, then modders will be able to do such things. When that happens I fully intend to do what you're suggesting :)

Im guessing changing the grip to a vertical grip would count as "changing the model"?

Well, exactly what versions would you like to see? If it's anything that involves changing the model, it's not possible. If it's anything like making custom textures, it's definitely possible. If it's swaping out for different magazines and calibers, not so much, the other magazines don't work well with the MX. I'm gonna make an MX SW that feeds from 30rnd mags by default and has custom textures. I'm also going to make "updated" versions of every MX variant, with new textures, names and stats.

Technically possible, but would probably look weird. I don't know how to make custom animations, so I'd be limited to use existing ones. I would like to use the old SPAR animation (grip on the magwell), but I can't find it in the files. It was most likely deleted.

No, I cannot, unfortunately. Official Arma 3 models are binarized, and it would be necessary to rip them in order to modify them, which is a violation of the EULA. New textures and config modifications is all I can do.

if possible can you remove the grip from the spar either having it as a bipod or as a variant of the gun.
