Draconia Empire 18 Jun @ 7:08am
hi is it passeble for you to update this mod
Anti4iteR 4 May, 2024 @ 4:19am
@Mog Kupo
I'm trying to imply the Noble House subject type from you mod in my Feudal Expanded mod, but it seems the event #18, when vassal preset changing to modded and it's change the auth of the subject to imperial, didn't work. I change the code of event to after-Overlord DLC, but stil it isn't work. Do you can help me with this in Discrod/Steam DM? I'll send you the code
williamestep23 17 Nov, 2023 @ 10:25am
I'm giving it a fair effort, there's honestly a pretty good amount to work with. I'm thinking of trying to use the specializations to be able to level up your vassals. So say for example you were an automated assembler, over time your alloy production would go up and your pop assembly would get a bonus. But you would send more pops in each batch. That being said right now I'm just focusing on getting everything to work. I have all of the vassal types done and the mostly working. Although I can't seem to get the armies for the auto assembler working. I will say most of your stuff still seems to work, like the assembler/xenoharvest events and stuff.

I have no objections to folks building off of this! I'd be interested to see what can be built considering from what I saw post-Overlord there wasn't much framework to work with.
williamestep23 12 Nov, 2023 @ 10:44am
If someone else wanted to attempt to make it compatible would you have an issue with that @Mog Kupo?
Mog Kupo  [author] 29 Mar, 2023 @ 7:55pm
Largely no. The update that came with the Overlords expansion removed the system this mod used to create the new vassal types.

@Mog Kupo
so is this still playable?
Mog Kupo  [author] 13 Nov, 2022 @ 2:31pm
Afraid no plans for a new version currently; haven't had a lot of time for Stellaris and still not sure what to do with the new vassal system.
Watchman 19 Oct, 2022 @ 3:21am
Any plans for update, or it is abandoned?
NotNitehawk 27 Sep, 2022 @ 1:12am
@CTH2004
The difference is that this mod was made before Bulwarks existed.
[BL]StarNerpo 5 Sep, 2022 @ 5:35pm
Does this work with Overlord now?
Naraxa 2 Sep, 2022 @ 7:31pm
Hey, are there any plans to update this mod? It was a fun one to play with and I kinda miss it now that overlord has come around. I hope you're doing well and, if you are planning to update the mod, that you don't feel rushed or anything
CTH2004 26 Aug, 2022 @ 10:02am
nice. But, what is the difference between Bulwark and Warden?
Roger 15 Aug, 2022 @ 7:39pm
quikly haha

It has nothing to do with the original mod, but you could try to improve the vassal / overlord experience with more events like the ones from Dynamic Political Event. With events, spy missions and diplomatic options, you could mingle hard into your vassals, or your vassals could manipulate or plot against their overlord in a more roleplaying way. Negociations and events between vassals of the same overlord to start vassal wars, or plot against current overlord.

One idea from your mod that could make into this was the option to force a leader onto your vassal, that could become an option to keep in check the vassal in the short term, but would eventually either degrade your relationship with him (tyrany) or slowly transform the vassals ethics until you can absorb him, or maybe "both at the same time" with risks of a civil war into your vassal (where the overlord and other vassals could mingle or even take part in).
Shamaster 20 May, 2022 @ 1:31pm
Maybe just go for some unique holdings that do things this mod originally did? There seem to be unique holdings tied to civics or origins in game so there's probably a way to make like a building for "slave" tithes you can tie to certain ethics or civics and tie loyalty penalties to it (as an example). Sounds less complicated than trying to make new vassal types in the new framework at least.
Mog Kupo  [author] 20 May, 2022 @ 1:12pm
Frankly it's a worst case scenario: the previous subject system was completely removed, the only way to access non-standard vassals is with the Overlord DLC, and contract negotiation removes a lot of the point of this mod. At least they finally gave vassals an AI bonus!

A new version of this mod will be essentially starting from scratch. I am brainstorming if there's an interesting way to reflect say the Dominion, House, or Xenoharvest in the "specialized" vassal framework. I'm open to people's suggestions on what they'd like to see, but I also think we should spend some time getting use to this new vassal negotiation process.

Whatever I create will be smaller, and not in the next few weeks.
Watchman 19 May, 2022 @ 7:08am
Approximate timing for new/reworked version? LIke, few weeks, one month, few month?

No pressure, just want to make plans in advance
Shamaster 18 May, 2022 @ 9:35am
That xenoharvest mechanic is looking pretty great... was hoping for a holding or something that gave a pop tithe annually from the overlord expansion and was disappointed...looking forward to whatever you end up doing.
Mythomaniac Gremlin 13 May, 2022 @ 2:58am
Hey there, I hope you're well. I was wondering if you had plans on updating this mod and integrating more of the features of Overlord into it? No pressure, it'd just be nice to hear if you have any plans.
valzietine 7 May, 2022 @ 10:59am
With xenoharvest and automated assembler, how many pops are collected?
Memedoktor 5 May, 2022 @ 6:31pm
idk how much kind of work it would be but a cool future for this mod could be the vassal types being their own styles in the same way the three ones shown are. Some of them have been shown redundant like the research tributary, and the warden. But i feel like others could see new life in the overlord version. This of course could be completely unfeasible but a nice idea.
SpitefulFox 4 May, 2022 @ 8:58pm
Either way, you're awesome.
Mog Kupo  [author] 4 May, 2022 @ 8:31pm
@Juko & all: I really don't know what/how much of this mod will fit in the new vassal framework. My hope is this will open up new ways to interact with the vassals and have them behave more uniquely. Worse case the new vassal negotiation system will remove a lot of the distinction between my vassal types.

Appreciate the thoughts; just got to wait for launch and take some time to learn the new system before I can assess how to move forward. There almost certainly will be some new version and it'll be a separate workshop entry to leave this for backwards compatibility.
Erebi 4 May, 2022 @ 7:22pm
Any plans on integrating this mod with the upcoming Overlord DLC, or perhaps a separate one for the DLC?
Zeta-0 24 Apr, 2022 @ 8:34pm
I want to say thanks before the Overload, for the enjoyment this mod brings.
SpitefulFox 4 Apr, 2022 @ 7:37pm
Is there a way to change a specific vassal's vassal type? The edict seems to only show me the same two vassals when I use it.
Nicho 26 Mar, 2022 @ 2:03am
@Bartlomiej-san: They've not done it yet. Overlord is still two and a half months away from coming out, lol. That's basically forever!
kgptzac 25 Mar, 2022 @ 3:49am
According to dev diary 247 the new vassal system will supplant a lot of what this mod does. It's been a run ride, but I feel their new system can still be augmented with mods like this. For example, forcing the vassal to change ethos like making them a SAR as a contract option is hopefully possible in the future.
Bartlomiej-san 22 Mar, 2022 @ 6:44am
Paradox turned this mod into a DLC right after I started playing with it lmao. They always mess things up for me
Casual 19 Mar, 2022 @ 7:04pm
When your mod is so good than paradox copy your idea to create a DLC
Silent0Death 19 Mar, 2022 @ 5:13pm
So, Paradox decided that they'll turn this mod in to a DLC,huh.
kgptzac 25 Feb, 2022 @ 6:30pm
Can you split the modded Feudal Society civic from the updated vanilla civic? Now the updated vanilla civic is doing something different and it feels better if it's possible to have both the vanilla and modded feudal civic together.
Mog Kupo  [author] 25 Feb, 2022 @ 5:26pm
@killer Turnus - Yes. If you have subjects, you should get the prompt to choose their type at the start of the next month.
Killer Turnus 25 Feb, 2022 @ 5:01pm
Can this be added midgame?
Raxior 24 Feb, 2022 @ 10:59am
thanks
Mog Kupo  [author] 24 Feb, 2022 @ 9:41am
@MathiasDragxon - The changes were small so your existing saved game should continue to work. Biggest "break" was some planetary decisions now cost Unity instead of Influence.
Raxior 24 Feb, 2022 @ 4:23am
can i get a link to the 3.2 version i didn't finish my current playthrough in time
kgptzac 24 Feb, 2022 @ 1:33am
can there be a special vassal type when gestalt (hive and machine) empires vassalize non-gestalt empires?
Mog Kupo  [author] 23 Feb, 2022 @ 6:32pm
@MathiasDragxon - Benevolent Intervention makes citizens of the subject empire more likely to adopt the subject empire's ethics.
Mog Kupo  [author] 23 Feb, 2022 @ 6:31pm
Version 4.3 has been released to support Stellaris 3.3 and with several minor tweaks. See the change log for details.
Raxior 22 Feb, 2022 @ 8:57am
does benevolent intervention governing ethics shift toward my empire's or the vassal's ethics?
Killer Turnus 17 Feb, 2022 @ 1:10pm
hang on there's no materialist vassal?
Killer Turnus 17 Feb, 2022 @ 12:07pm
Is this compatible with Zenith of a fallen empire?
Triple e 22 Jan, 2022 @ 8:01pm
I've looked for this for so long thank youuuu
Mog Kupo  [author] 11 Jan, 2022 @ 3:35pm
@Violen - Believe me, I hate that mods several years out of date appear before mine in the search. Steam Workshop algorithim is crap. Anyways, I've updated the screenshots to reflect the Domination tree after it was modified in vanilla.
Violen 11 Jan, 2022 @ 3:00pm
The functionality of this appears to be incompatible with NSC Free Booters origin, Which(with a accention perk) Allow's to Totalwar subjugate other empires. Empires Subjugated in this way do not get the new Subject types, Reforming or otherwise.
Violen 11 Jan, 2022 @ 10:34am
The screenshot shows the Dom Trad Tree unlocking an extra edict slot upon completion, But in game its not displayed as doing such and after testing it does indeed not add the extra E slot. It instead is the default 20% admin cap.
Other perks in that tree are correctly changed. I have no other mods effecting Traditions.. that i know of.
