@grandpa forklift : Any melee system will work as long as the hits can deal damage to objects. I recommended lago melee system because it was simple and efficient but it seems to have problems actually, haven't got the time to check it out yet, so go ahead with anything you want.

I was having a chat with the jbad dev about how to get True Breaching working on maps which use its vehicles (Lythium etc). He’s got an idea for how to search for the doors correctly: mind if I friend you and send over what he provided, for when you get a chance to work on this mod again?

@´Thangler7 Currently This mod does not add shotguns or ammos (Yet) Use the recommended mods listed in the description to get those. The mod currently works with Altis, Stratis and Malden's buildings. Compatibility with other maps is not complete so it may or may not work on buildings from other maps.

Also I should have said completely understood on prioritising other stuff - the mod is amazing as is: not only for creating more engaging CQC actions but also for dissuading players from clearing each and every building when moving through a town!

Good news for me is that I found a shotgun (Project Infinite) which does the job for blasting open doors, which will definitely do for the time being :)

Had two other, hopefully small ideas, for when you have time to look at this mod again. First, a setting to have some % chance of unlocked (internal) doors to be open, as that provides a realistic separate CQB challenge. Second, a configurable delay on the module applying changes to doors, so an AI garrison waypoints have a chance to complete (and AI get into position) before the doors close/lock behind them.

@ouchthathurt That may be a feature in an upcoming update.

I can't give an ETA for future updates because before updating this mod I must first update my other ones, improve my level in modding, especially in multiplayer scripting, and learn how to make proper animations to add a decent kick to this mod. And also... I have a life to live :)

So, I have a lot of stuff to go through before being able to update this, but I'm working on it, bit by bit.

@Hoplite love this mod. Do you have an ETA on when you might return to it? I've been struggling to find a breaching shotgun with the necessary impact to fall into the 'high power projectile' category (I'd rather not use the HE rounds in UAS). Would it be possible to be able to designate weapon/ammo class names in the mod's CBA settings to white-list them as 'high power' breaching guns? That might be a good way to get around the impact of most shotguns being less than that of most rifles?

@vsauce did you set the module in the middle of the terrain then set the RADIUS properly? To set it properly, goto 3den, press m to goto map mode, move your mouse to the right and top edge of the map to get the total width and length (X and Y) of the map in meters, then set the module location to the middle of the map which is half of X and Y and input into the X and Y coordinate boxes, then set the radius to the terrain's full length and height... it is usually a square... it will then initiate all the houses or buildings within that perimeter to lock or unlock. I did this in Chernarus Redux and all the DLC maps with no problem. Make sure you set the breaching, lock and unlock modules to the same to cover everything. Or unless you want to specific buildings to be locked in a specific area.

Hey, I don't know why but it doesn't work for me. I placed all the modules and change the radius to all the map but it seems that the doors don't lock. Any idea how to fix it?

I just wanted to comment before I head off. This mod works EXACTLY how I want it for a persistent Ravage Survival mission. I set the module to random and set the lockpick to spawn randomly. But I did a trick where I loaded up melee weapons from Webknight and using his mod, I CAN hack some of the doors open. More quiet than using shotgun blasts. Now we can lock pick, blast open or chop open doors with melee weapons! Thank you for this great breaching mod!

i can't found a EPB Round fpr shotguns in the UAS Mod, but a "FRAG-12/EFP" that seems to work good and it clears half of the room behind it too ;D

@ Xaneas Second part :

There are 2 solutions : take a more powerful shotgun, or use more powerful ammunitions in your shotgun.
Chevrotine and basic slugs are hardly effective at breaching doors, but there are other special ammunitions for shotguns that are more suitable for this. So check the ammo available for the shotgun you want to use and see what works. Explosive shells and breaching shells should work easily (if the mod you use features them).

The mod Universal Ammo System (either the complete or the lite version) features low explosive breaching shotgun shells (they are named EPB if I remember correctly) That's what we used in my team.

By default in this mod, shotguns blasts the doors open, no matter if you are on the push or the open side, and no matter where you aim on the door.

But some shotguns in some mods are less powerful than others, and so the mod considers them as a rifle. That means they use the rifle settings in the modules.

That means they can unlock the door but it won't necessarly open itself, you need to open it by hand. And depending on the way you set up the modules, you may need to take into account if you are on the push side of the door and to aim at the lock or at the hinges in order to have a significant effect. And you may need to shoot several cartridges too.

We have deactivated the Ace Item Medical Conversion in CBA Addon Option, that helped with the problem.
But i can't get Shotguns to work correctly, is there any way to get Shotguns to reliably open Doors?

@arnjhon I have a lot of work IRL actually so I'm not working on this mod right now but I will update it as soon as possible. Breaching tools are planed, I'll see if I add them in further development.

@Valken Yes, there is a lockpicking set. You can get it in the arsenal, in right menu in the + tab.
Some users report not seeing it though, I'm not sure why. This issue will be fixed in further updates.

Is there a built in lockpick with this mod so I do NOT have to use ACE? Or can we assign an item as a lockpick? or list the classname so we can use an inventory spawner to create it.

@Hoplite are you working on fixing so that the breaching does not remain floating in the middle of the door after it explodes?
And how is the progress for the kicking?
I think the mod is very nice! though it's still a bit lacking *shrug*
Will you plan on adding some sort of breaching tools? i.e Dynamic hammer or 5.11 tools?

@Hoplite the ACE mod turns the lock pick kit into bandages, in the future will you fix that so as not to have to deactivate the change of objects from vanilla to bandages of the medical ace?

@I work alone I totally Agree, Mechanics and engineers will have an impact on lockpicking. You can set the realism where you want by tweaking the time it takes to lockpick. If you want something realistic, put it on 5 minutes, and then you won't be able to use it during gunfights (or you can try, sea what it does :) )

Just came here to say that lockpicking almost never happens in real life combat situations, because it's not always possible, mostly inpractical, and puts a soldier in the fatal funnel for an extended period of time. I know it's cool and interesting, but I'd remove it for the sake of realism, or limit the ability to engineers and mechanics.

@xray : It works on servers, but I haven't tested it a lot.
