Unfortunately, the CM structures only partially snap to vanilla structures. Dear Eddy, could you please make an update? CryoFridge would be great too. We love your mod, but it needs an update.

Good to hear, I agree the metal in ASA is good. I think the main thing people are missing is regular windows.

I might do a glass, greenhouse and cage but the metal is not that bad so not sure on it. It will be a while before I will have time to get to it though.

Thanks, this mod makes really great looking bases. Idk if you look for feature requests, but Id love to see a pillar for the cage tier that matches the door frames. It would help a lot with transitions.

I was able to demolish the glass bookshelf by removing the foundation bellow it without it causing the server to crash. Just wanted to add this here just in case someone else was having the same problem. I will just not use the glass bookshelf from now on.

I am also having a problem with the glass bookshelf. I have it placed but can't place anything inside it and when I try to remove it, my dedicated server crashes. Also when setting the crafting speed of the Industrial Forge to 100, it is so slow, but when I remove the setting it is much faster. Other than these 2 problems I am having, amazing mod :steamhappy:

I'm having an issue getting my server to boot with this mod if i have the -automanagedmods command line enabled. If i copy the mod files from my client folder and paste them in the server, it works just fine, but -automanagedmods deletes one of them every time on startup. Anyone had this issue?

@EddyChomps, Have reinstalled the mod files both on the server and locally and the issue with the glass variant still persists. i figure as long as i do not use the stuff that i am unable to pull the resources for then the server wont crash. was hoping with todays update that we would be able to use the glass variant though.

Hi Eddy, a couple of issues I noted while building earlier --square glass ceilings have some issues with snapping to triangle ceilings -- they seem to want to snap off the midpoint along some sides. I have not done extensive testing to see if it's A.B.or C side (I don't *think* it's all of them, but I think it is two of them), but if that would aid you, please give a shout. Also, the cage double doors do not want to snap into a stone double doorframe, though the single door/frame works fine.

Sounds like corrupted mod files. Been a big issue lately caused by steam. The fix is usually you need to delete the mode from the server and reinstall it.

@EddyChomps. have this mod on my server, and have place the glass bookshelp and the server crashed. i am not totally sure why, but was able to replicate the same behaviour by placing the same bookshelf. what was really weird... I was able to pull the resources (using s+) for the normal bookshelf however when trying to do the same for the glass bookshelf it said "not enough resources' where we had enough resources to make 100's of them.

P.S. I often use the walls with the CKFR mod... the walls are slightly larger than the vanilla ones. Maybe some glass walls that match the CKFR wall sizes with a 2 high and 4 high version of each?? I know it's a lot to ask but this is such a fantastic mod and works so well with how I like to build. BTW... thanks for making this mod. It's one of my GoTo mods and I use it on all of my servers. :-)

Is there any way to get a wall that is 2 high and 1 wide?? I often use the walls as windows and it would be really nice to have a 2 high one. The 4 high one is often too tall and the single ones sometimes don't want to stack when placing them inside stone or wood walls.

@Nacho That is intentional for now as I need to redo the model so that the greenhouse window fits in it and other widows correctly. So in short it wouldn't snap in the correct position so left support for it out for now.

This Mod gets better and better.. Love your work, Dude. Generator, ChemBench and these things are so cool !!

But the Air-Conditioner doesn't snap in the frames of your greenhouse window wall. XD

It applies to other structure pieces not the foundations themselves. Basically it makes them all act as a foundation so they require no foundational support. Placement is unaffected by the setting.

Is the feature "NoFoundationsRequired=true" currently broken? I enabled this setting on my server yday and all my clean metal foundations still required placement on ground.

the ginder is sadly not smaller. When u want to place it the body looks smaller but than it grows to the original size when placed

feelsbad. that's a doozy of of an issue.what the hell steam? my entire week went down the drain cuz the last save i could find was from a week ago. appreciate the mod though, good stuff. i hate the rusted metal look.

Most likely is it was a corrupted download from steam. This has been a big issue recently and is all on steams end. The mod needs to be deleted from the server and re-downloaded and reinstalled.

um... not sure if this was just on my end but it does say last updated today so... yeah. all my cm stuff got deleted from my world. except metal fence foundations for some reason. they turned into regular metal fence foundations. glass sloped pieces are the same. and my fridges and structural pieces have all disappeared. vaults seem to still be there. didn't assess all the damage. bit too upset to look at my world right now.

thanks for this, yes it works with Trans gun, but there's no radial option, so that's the thing I was talking about!
Another thing, I get a funky bug on my motorboat. When I place XL hatchframe (sloped or normal) and place trapdoor on it. Every single time something gets destroyed or picked up on the motorboat, those trap doors autodestroy (without getting back the resources) - any idea on what / why this happens?
Otherwise, a really awesome mod!
Any chance of maybe getting .ini for setting the storage box & new fridge item slots? 300 is a bit OP for us

Howdy Eddy. I really gotta say, I'm loving what your'e doing with this mod. If all the others would be so invested in their mods, it'd be great! Keep it up! One ask though - can you make glass gateways (large and XL) to be able to change transparency like in all other glass buliding components?

Howdy... yet another bug - when I try to place dynamic gateway, it says "Can't Place CM Dynamic Gateway: You Require the CM Metal Gateway Engram." Regardless to say I have unlocked the Metal Tier engram... seems to be a leftover from logic before you created this complete tier engram (which is nice btw).

Yeah, I thought that might be the case with cage bars..

I just encountered a bug of sorts... I can't place a large trapdoor (metal or glass) onto any horizontal hatch frame (vanilla or yours), but it snaps to a sloped large hatch frame though... :(

@Iondam2405 As for the half walls they are a variant of the Glass and metal railings and can be switched via the radial menu or with the model gun. The gaps are set to not allow any vanilla creature to pass through and for aesthetic reasons as well. Larger gaps make it considerably easier for dinos to glitch through them.

Hey mate, I was able to fix it (had to unsub, delete mod folder and sub again to pull the correct version). I'm absolutely loving it. Though, I have some feedback on it. Could you consider making the cage walls etc. with fewer bars? Like every other? We found it quite difficult to aim through those narrow holes (and from RP position, it's not like we're trying to prevent rats to get through, but at tiniest human size dinos)... though now I thought, no idea if these wider gaps would prevent Copmy to slide through, that'd be a bugger..

On another note, I'm not able to create half walls from glass and metal (I suppose those were there since you have them from Cage and Greenhouse tier)..
