The boat extractions should use the default PBRs from the CDLC, but adding some more debug info for the players is probably a good idea. I think the ultimate way to check is just have the admin get into zeus. I've seen boats get stuck before, and tried to fix it by moving the boat spawn points, but at some point you just can't overcome the Arma AI pathfinding.

Ah, i see we are not using Unsung Stable mod, it states "boat" on the mod list too. Maybe you used an Boat from Unsung and thats why no one appears for us.

Ok, i will try the admin log next time. We waited there around half an hour or so, the last time as we had the same problem we even were going afk for an hour to see if they may appear. Maybe the admin log will give some insight.

Is there some text in the lower left corner if they spawn? Some other escapes say "init heli" or even give some scripted messages like "eagle on the way" or so.

We hat the exfil set to "close" in mission settings.

@Weezor sounds like you had a boat extraction. Next time, have as admin log in and get into zeus. When i tested, i never saw a single time where the extraction helis or boats didn't spawn. Sometimes they can take quite a bit of time to reach the extraction point. I can test the extractions some more when I have time.

We had time to test at the weekend.
The toggle to see our position(or not to) is working fine.

Only thing about that that i would change is seeing the LZ on the map, cause if you see it, you know the area you crashed and kinda where you are.
But thats just our way to see it, we like the "survival" mystery to figure out by roads and villages or points of interest where we ended up in the jungle :)

The extraction was still not working sadly, the exfil qaypoint was 28m into the water, we threw every smoke we had to trigger it, but nothing worked sadly. Maybe have to move the exfil to land to trigger it propperly or so(or we still do something wring but we used all kidns of smoke grenades in like a 1-30 Meter radius around the waypoint).

Thats all the feedback i can give atm :)

Hey Saber, we were just running the Tiger Mod and CBA_A3 as described. Additionally we udes endurance ++ and reduced weapon sway. But icant see these mods being a problem, never been a problem in escape gabreta in CSLA or Escape GM on Weferlingen.

Thats why i asked, we were thinking that the air recovery system or some of the other mods above were needed to exfiltrate.

@Weezor I'll take a look at the extractions too. it seemed pretty reliable when i was testing it. No DLCs other than SOG PF need to be active. what mods were you running with? i can try to reproduce it.

Hey, yeah we still have the problem that we see us on map like @HazBo has.

Also we Escaped now 2 Times and made it to the Extracion point, but as we threw some smokes flares and all we had, no one cam to get us home.

Do we need to activate all dlcs ? Like CSLA and Global mobilization.

All other stuff works like intended it seems, even the tiger in jungle that attacks us.

Maybe we do something wrong, like we need to get the workshop stuff for the exfiltration vehicle.

@HazBo oh interesting. in that case maybe it could be something in the mission. most like part of the Paradigm framework if I had to guess. I can take a look and if I find it, I'll make it an optional thing

Really enjoying the mission, also having the same problem as @Weezor.
I've set up the server with custom difficulty and made sure to disable map markers etc.

I will try client side in the meantime but I'm pretty sure server should override client settings.
Just to clarify, cant speak for @Weezor but its not the default player marker for me but rather like a high command group maker so you still have to work out your facing but it does take the challenge away.

If I find a solution ill be sure to update the comments.

@Weezor I think you have to set the difficulty setting to "veteran" in your server config, or maybe reach out on the SOG PF or Arma discords if that doesn't work. I don't think this is something set at the mission level.

Hey man, outstanding work. We already played a lot with the updated mission.

Only little critique may be that we cant turn off that we see us all the time on the map with location.

Normally we like to find the map and figure out our self where we at, looking at streets buildings and such to mark our position on the map.

Or is there maybe any chance in the files to turn the gps like location off for the redux mission ?

that map doesnt need me to buy SOG lol, allows to play a detailed Nam map with SOG CDLC though.

surprisingly this is the only Nam escape mission ive found on workshop

@J-Money you need to own the DLC to play on the Cam Lao Nam map. Also, I think an Arma update a few months ago may have broken the respawn in this mission. I haven't had time to fix it yet.

Just another bug. The heli pickup point at 104 070. The helis don't get to the pickup point they turn away before they get there.

hI @SaberSnack Love this escape just a couple of bugs to report. Most of the time when pickup is by boat the boats get stuck turning around and it ends in a mission fail.
Some times where the radio mission spawns there is a tree or fence in the way making it impossible to reach the radio.
Today the helis for the pickup never came within 1 km of the pickup point.

@SaberSnack thanks for all your work on this one, it's been one of our favourite things to play this year. Hope you have a great Christmas. Just to let you know there seems to be some sort of bug where the last few times we've played, my group have had the prison spawn on the side of an extremely steep hill, sometimes a hill that's too steep to walk up at all, so it's made the start very... weird, especially as sometimes the guns of killed VC just slide down the hill so you can't grab them! But yeah it's not unplayable or anything just an odd start. We're playing again today so I'll see if it happens again.

There is a problem with files - to uncover POIs. Even if I choose in parameters that 100
% of enemy soldiers should have file. No one has. It is strange.

@NumbuhOne try the latest version. i moved some initial setup scripts to all run at the beginning of the mission so things don't get slowed down while you're actually playing. systemchat log messages show what's going on now while you're waiting

For that dedicated server, we got through the role selection and through the Map screen, but then we got stuck on Loading Escape screen, any resources on how to resolve that? Otherwise, it is indeed a fun scenario!

@SaberSnack awesome scenario! Gotta say the artillery "death in fire" is a lot more fun than I expected. I've been hosting this game for friends from my game client and I'm consistently running my frames down below 10FPS (maybe all the bodies we're leaving behind after a couple hours?), have you or anyone else successfully deployed this scenario on a dedicated server? I have some other favorites of ours like Antistasi running, but this scenario seems to hang in the mission generation after you hit continue after being in the map screen on launch. I've tried both a linux host and windows host to no avail. Thanks!

Hey! One of Knuckleroo's party members here. I would just like to reiterate what they have reported about the artillery. Several sessions were attempted, with a wide range of spawn locations, each one produced similar results. Within minutes of breaking out from the Prison, we were getting shelled. Once on the move, be it by foot or by captured vehicle, the shelling was continuous. What is confusing is the unbelievable accuracy of the shelling, even after long periods of no contact with any AI components, the shells were landing right on top of us.

@Knuckleroo - the AI artillery only shoots at the most recent known enemy position, so if you avoid being spotted, they will miss. that being said, i toned down the amount of artillery in the latest release

@Zarp - i think i may have fixed the extraction problems in the latest release

Hey, we've got back into playing this one again but unfortunately we're having a bit of a mare with it - bodies instantly disappearing on death meaning impossible to get loot, artillery continuously following us no matter where we go or how discreet we are, etc. Even at the start of the escape just when we kill the prison guards we get instant artillery/mortar fire and it rarely stops from that point on. Any advice on this at all? Have tried standard and reduced artillery settings.

Hi, we have played a couple times now with the optional mods enabled and both times we got to the radio tower it gave us the ex-filtration task but did not give us a mark on the map to go to, any help?
