Let me know if you notice any bugs or any kind of problems.
The modder has been silent for 11 months (11/12/2023) which may answer everyone's questions though
It's not critical, because it doesn't prevent the trait from being assigned. It merely prevents (or may be preventing) a couple of factors from increasing the likelihood of the eccentric trait being assigned, when the events for it do fire.
It doesn't affect how likely the events are to fire, in the first place, and they're quite unlikely to fire compared to the other childhood personality events anyway (10% as likely as most others). So, it's really no big deal. The trait seems to be meant to be very rare.
But I will try to fix it as quickly as I manage to figure it out. Otherwise, I may make a temporary emergency solution for a while.
I don't see anything in the files for that mod that interferes with this one. It should be fine.
If you see any issues with the mod, let me know.
There might be a new update soon. I'm going to take a good look at the mod and see if I want to make any changes, improvements, or additions. We will see.
This means that if you're running this mod right now, children won't be getting personality trait events while traveling (not a real issue if they're not traveling A LOT), and that children can't get the eccentric trait while growing up.
I will fix those two things and upload a new version very soon.
However (the point of this post), if you've noticed any other issues from running the mod recently, please let me know here.
It's very likely anyone making a mod like that would have done it correctly.
It will probably be compatible (if they've added their new events in the right way), but their new events will not work according to the logic of this mod. Only the vanilla ones will.
Only parents who are alive at the time the event fires will matter.
Everything really just works the way it does in the normal game. The difference is only in the probabilities. Instead of the personality traits of the guardian and (since Royal Court) some cultural traditions being the only things that affect the probabilities involved, this mod adds a bunch of other factors as well.
Another question: does this mod only affect what trait a kid gets at 3, or also effect what traits you can choose in events when they have a guardian? And do they get traits based on the guardian?
...but it literally is compatible with 1.5.1.1? so what exactly is the lie?
Thanks for all your work bud :)
