Best mod. Single handedly makes the game enjoyable even tho Edmund's wish is to make it nothing more than an unfun obnoxious slog.

Fuck bosses taking 90% reduced damage

The default 30% reduced damage feels perfect.

So I managed to get the mod working, but the settings don't seem to be saving and get reset to default values after I close and reopen the game. I saw some other people having the same issue, has this been resolved or a fix discovered?

Tried it and seems to work pretty well on both Hush and Ultra Greed. Had brimstone + knife for Hush but I don't remember it to be enough to litterally blow Hush. For Ultra Greed I had flame tears basically so nothing incredible.

Be aware Mod Config Menu is abandonned. Check out for Mod Config Menu Pure instead.

I remember using the original version of this mod in Afterbirth and everything worked like a charm! Is this version for Repentance stable? Based on the previous comments there seem to exist a couple of issues with it.

Something I found while messing with mod, Dogma can kill itself with the beam attack if it doesn't have any "armor", whether that be its natural armor or from the mod (at high percents)

Completely disabling it causes Dogma to take insane damage to itself, making the fight much easier unexpectedly

I found out that, with Spider Mod, that dogma DOES damage itself, but the armor protects it.

Still thought it would be worth a mention, not sure if there's a workaround for Dogma's Armor

I might have a method to remove boss armor on the regular enemies, I went into main.lua and replaced all the numbers under bossesEnabled with this list:

I'm not sure if this works, it would depend on how the mod is coded, and I don't now how to test it.

Could you add an option to remove the armor from normal enemies as well? Repentance added a ton of them, especially on Corpse and the way back home.

hmmm, bosses seem considerably weaker after installing this mod and enabling boss armor for ALL bosses, as well increasing boss armor to 100%...

Is there something I'm not understanding or?

oh, cool! id recommend, if possible, replacing the 'keep/remove armor' system, which is a bit confusing in the first place, with individual armor percent sliders per boss

is there a way to ONLY affect the boss armor of one boss without lowering the others?

@Starbomb and anyone else having the same problem:
1. navigate to modified boss armor using up/down arrows (or their equivalents on your controller)
2. press right arrow key (or its equivalent on your controller) twice
then you should be navigated to the "bosses" section of the menu. if this doesn't work, try unsubscribing and resubscribing to the mod, to make sure you're using the current version.

I can't find the list of bosses anywhere in the MCM menu. Just the standard on/off toggle along with the scaling options.

@BrainTaser Something to keep in mind is that Repentance kind of disguises boss armor by giving bosses multiple phases so the fight is visibly moving along and that you aren't stuck in 1 phase for too long. At any rate I updated the wiki page with a lot more details on how boss armor actually works. You would have to make sure that the base HP stat is divided by armor to make a reasonable DPS soft cap number.

For now i just removed Mother's ID from the hook-vanilla.lua file so she doesn't get affected and the fight works and i don't have to disable the mod completely :)

This mod somehow seems to break the Mother Fight for me. She only has her 1st Phase and as soon as the Transition to Phase 2 should happen she instantly dies. Anyone else got this problem? On all other Endgame Bosses it seems to work(although i didn't test Mega Satan yet). Disabled the mod for testing and the Mother Fight plays out normal. Could you look into it?

I'm not quite sure but Mother has 90/120 boss armor according to the wiki. somebody else can do the math from here
