Seems to be working OK in 4.13.

This still seems to work fine with 3.7

Great mod! Hope you can update it for 3.5.

Since the most recent update of the game I don't' know if the halving of edict costs is bugged with this mod. If I notice a problem I'll report it, but for now I have nothing to report as broken.

Does the Diplomatic Influence Cost affect vassal contract changes? They are VERY expensive.

@ranma100: I'm going to keep it updated as long as I can! :)
I believe the "Diplomatic Influence Cost" affects the Galactic Community but I am not positive. I did not think about the Hyper Relay's as they are new, I will take a look at possibly adding a reduction to those into the research.

Good to see this still being updated. You do need influence for Hyper Relays and the Galactic Community.

@SwitchView I'll look into it again. There may be an issue where it is not being halved. I'll get back to you on that.
SwitchView  [author] 12 Mar, 2022 @ 3:09pm
@| Clyax: The Unity cost scales exactly along side vanilla edicts that cost Unity, and is then halved. Thus depending on your state of the game the cost could be anywhere from 150 to 5k or more.

If you believe there is a bug and it is not being halved or scaled properly, then let me know and I will look into it.

Question: Is the Unity cost for the edicts supposed to increase with Empire Sprawl even if the Sprawl is below the Admin Cap? My Unity cost for Influence Crisis is 3000 despite my Sprawl being below the cap.

Sweet... Thanks @WitchView

@Beast-Storm @Trapus: Mod is updated and everything works! :)
Beast-Storm 10 Oct, 2021 @ 3:52am
OK :)
SwitchView  [author] 10 Oct, 2021 @ 12:10am
Unsure if it still works in the current update but I see no reason why it wouldn't. I will take a look and update if needed.
Beast-Storm 9 Oct, 2021 @ 5:14pm
When can we expect an update?
Trapus 29 Sep, 2021 @ 7:13pm
this still work? 3.1.2

@Clyax: Yes they are their own 'mini-tech-tree', in order to get future ones you have to have researched the one before it. So it would go Galactic Airwaves -> Interstellar Persuasion -> Bribery -> Political Extortion -> Galactic Political Clout for the regular techs. The rare's have a very small chance of appearing after researching techs of there same tier. So in order for Advanced Airwaves to have a chance appearing you have to have already researched Galactic Airwaves, same for Backroom Bribery and Bribery, and Deceitful Political Clout and Galactic Political Clout.

I will update the description/images to make this more clear as well as put them in a proper order.

As for war exhaustion the idea was to have another penalty to discourage overly aggressive AI's. However I agree that it has nothing to do with Influence so I will look at changing it.

@Kepos: I am not sure what you are getting at? This mod shouldn't interfere with any other mods that affect claim costs,
|_| Clyax 28 May, 2021 @ 4:14am
Do these technologies have to be completed in a particular order before adding them to the pool of potential technologies that would appear?

Increasing the influence cost makes sense for balancing (although I'm not sure how much is appropriate), but why increase War Exhaustion Gain? That seems to have nothing to do with influence. Why make wars harder?
ranma100 25 May, 2021 @ 8:03am
Looks interesting, I will have to give it a try
Kepos 23 May, 2021 @ 1:29pm
Interesting idea, however, I'd vote to have it more as a general research frame and probably pick add-ons for parts you want to play with. If you scale your idea too wide, it will be totally incompatible with other mods, which may result in not playing it. That spoken, claim costs...would be nice if you allow other mods to increase or inflict them either like 'claim rebalanced'.
