If there's a way to create custom roads I would expect it to be possible.
Maybe there is a mod that just draws coloured lines on the terrain: in that case it would be possible to toggle visibility.

Today, I disabled everything except Skyve, Loading Screen Mod, and Patch Loader, started a new game on a vanilla map, and still not there. I verified that the assets are there in Skyve, and they show in the asset menu, but not in game. Anyone have any advice? It's driving me nuts.
That error is harmless. It's actually recognised by the developers but shouldn't effect anything. I intend to have a look at removing it when I eventually re-install the game, but I'm concerned the necessary changes could remove any of the planning roads being used in other people's cities.
This mod worked near flawlessly for me the last time I played the game. Bridges should still be fine.
I should pay more attention to these comments. I'll modify the mod description soon to acknowledge what people have commented.

I'm glad you like the roads.
Single lane/unit roads have been asked for by a few people. I originally wanted to keep this vanilla, but I'll look into new planning roads when I next play the game. I don't currently have it installed.
I'm flattered that you'd use my creations for a project such as that. I've looked through your site and have already seen a lot of inspiration for my own cities.
I think I looked at Metro tracks when I was making the other parts, but something put me off. I'll have another look when I next play the game.
Planning Roads are a major feature of Gadriel's borough design with five-star parks.

1-lane roads have been asked for before, but I'm hesitant to make changes like that with so many subscribers and it probably isn't something I'd use. I may look into it again at some point though.
I also use Move It! to save a basic block configuration with zero-cost roads. Import the block, then upgrade at cost as needed.
The Precision Engineering mod ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=445589127 ) should help with measuring. I have distance measurements when I use these roads.
