Can confirm that Charge SCAR in CE is a workhorse that kicks like a mule
And that's from modpile with metric crapton of guns (I like variety in enemy armament)
There are guns that reach further, there are guns that hit harder, there are guns that shoot faster, but Charge SCAR is highest tier all-rounder. Especially when loaded with Ion rounds.
It was my colony standard for a reason.

@kyenn_zerathul The Charge SCAR is chambered (powered?) in 8x35 compared to 6x24, so it has quite a substantial amount more stopping power compared to the R-15.

Don't want to seem dumb but is the charged variant better than the charge rifle? If so, how exactly?
Or in other words, would the charged SCAR be the best charge weapon available considering only vanilla, CE and your modpack?

This has been a go-to with CE. I wish that more of the Gun Nut weapons had Charged variants.

i think it's too bad really that the suppressor is part of the upgraded one, like yes it's true in a lot of ways it's a benefit but not universally. besides, i like having a gun fight sound like an actual gunfight

Updated to 1.4!

- Balance pass for both in vanilla and CE.
- New FN MK 20 SSR in 6.5 Creedmoor.
- Minor tweaks to the original sprites.
- New settings for camo selection.
- New camo selection using Ideology styles.
- Updated mod page infoGFX to reflect the changes.

The Charged Scar is nice but the Range is higher then that of the Vanilla Charge Sniper.
Maybe set the Range a little lower?

Dont you think that charged scar is a bit op, and we have normal charge weapons of the CE also. It feels unbalanced and inconsistent with other things.

I remember that during my CE playthrough raiders fairly often had gotten charged guns from these mods, and often clapped the pawns that stood in their way, any idea why exactly do these things happen fairly often? i didn't have much wealth yet and wasnt long into the run so these for sure were crazy to see, and also scary

1.3 UPDATE
- Report any stuff that I might have missed.
- You may get some harmless errors on first load.
- Some of the weapons in existing saves may disappear (use dev mode if you want them back)
- You will get a duplicate research project while I update the rest of the smaller gun nut packs.
- Included .dds textures for those of you using mods like graphic settings, should improve load time, quality and performance.
- Description will be properly updated at a later date.
- All Gun Nut mods now require Gun Nut CORE to work properly.

All his weapons works with 1.3, havent encountered any errors so far (and by so far I mean about 200h into ideology alone) so go ahead, use it and stop being annoying about updates!

that would be a cool idea, gun nut vanilla, where you do a gun nut version or two of all the vanilla weapons themselves

Here's a thought: I love all the mods you've put out for the new weaponry, and you've put out So Much. At this point, I would rather play a game entirely with your weapons and no vanilla weapons. Have you ever thought about making like, a mod that replaces vanilla art and sounds? Or even just, removes vanilla weapons for counterparts from your own mods?
