I also broke Wheatley's monitor.

If you're confused about the exit sequence read this (not really a spoiler):
You can explode the turret with a laser, which breaks the glass.

Hint 1:
You can grab the cube off the button using a light bridge.

Hint 2:
To get into the light bridge room with access to the tractor beam you need to go through the tractor beam portal and come out at the light bridge. For that you need the tractor beam disabled + the light bridge.

It's always a pleasure to hear Wheatley bless my little primate brain.

Blindrun
The most challenging test I’ve played from you that’s not part of the Underground series or Polarity. Took me longer than it should have to notice that the laser had a purpose other than burning the turret. I was honestly expecting it to make the funnel blue, but it was quite easy to see what needed to be done having struggled with not being able to go through the funnel and take it with me to the other side.

Loved the voice line in the middle and how the tremors blast off parts of the chamber, allowing you to see the facility falling apart in real time! Working through your workshop from old to new, I can definitely sense your Hammer skills improving. There’s a certain quality with the textures you use and how big you make some of the portal surfaces when you do the Wheatley Labs aesthetic that is simultaneously faithful to the original yet also your own.

Masterful.

You are a master at making these puzzles. Also the aesthetic design (Wheatley style) is really good

Good to play this again, it's still a great puzzle, especially 'that move'.
canticle 2 Oct, 2019 @ 10:37pm
Some commenters have said that a ball button could have replaced the exploding turret to access the extra or said it felt wrong to have an "extra" cube....but without the laser and cube destroying Wheatley's monitor would not have been possible--and that would be a shame:steamhappy:
Calwin 27 Sep, 2019 @ 6:35am
I'm pretty sure I solved it the intended way. I didn't even try to use the box as cover for the turret, maybe it would have worked, but I wouldn't feel any satisfaction out of it.
zeo1337 25 Jun, 2019 @ 5:36pm
The defective turret was awesome.

I like this one, few simple tricks with one harder trick, I would say this one is easy in Ben77 category :D

Got lot of fun playing this challenging but not too hard map. As usual, good design. Thanks for this
bullfrog 14 Jan, 2017 @ 1:34am
Brilliant logical puzzle. The last bit took me ages to work out. I gave up for a bit, then came back and looked at the 1st of your 3 screen shots and noticed.....:steamfacepalm: Even then it took me a while to work out why/how that was useful.
Phaaze 18 Nov, 2016 @ 7:41am
I really like when your puzzles aren't sectioned off into emancipation-grill rooms... it feels more natural. Hence, I love this one :)

Almisuifre 20 Mar, 2016 @ 9:36am
I spend a really nice moment here, and that's not the first time it happens in your maps.
With that one, I was a bit frustrated because the exit door opended too quick, and this spare cube was asking for more tasks. In other words, I enjoyed a lot the various steps, and I was hoping more :)
Petutski 18 Jan, 2016 @ 8:30am
Excellent logical tricky puzzle! The question: how to get the cubes? Great work, thanks!
dven1 8 Dec, 2015 @ 5:02am
A real mind-bender! Had to watch video to get the tricky part, but I still felt good that I could remember all those moves afterwards. Triple thumbs-up on this one!
piotr_mil 4 Oct, 2015 @ 2:36pm
Very entertaining! Not too difficult, but it takes a moment to understand the solution.

Really loved this map. Took me a while to work out but that was a good one :)
Chelliste 29 Oct, 2014 @ 8:27am
My only criticism of this wonderfully devious puzzle is the gratuitous frying of the turret at the end. The poor thing can't even shoot back. I stood right in front of the grid (not the glass) and it didn't shoot me, so I guess the grid prevents it from firing. Anyway, a ball and a ball receptable would have worked as well, to prevent the frankencube from being used to open the door.
quatrus 19 Sep, 2014 @ 3:51pm
Excellent - a bit complicated took some thought - nicely done again....thanks for creating.

Awesome chamber, reminded a bit of Valves chambers. Very neat puzzle, looks to good to look confusing, not to simple nor to much difficult and has that "aaahhhhh" moments ( atleast I had).

Don't have any criticism, well polished map.
Great work pal.

Flings required! This test reminded me somewhat of Azorae's Enganglement, but not entirely. That is the jist of how I solved getting the laser cube, just be sure to use the frankencube to block the laser at the right spot! Your position matters! Good job BEN 77!
