None of the turrets you mentioned are anti-missile turrets, and they are all APS simple weapons, design your projectiles better.

Please, please, increase the accuracy on the 75, 90, 105, and 127s. Anything over .5 is basically unusable! Especially for anti-missile work

This mod stopped loading for me. I tried deleting it and redownloading, but it does not show up in the game beyond the workshop subscription. The log has 3 errors related to mod loading, but it does not state the mod name. Before I went any further, I wanted to see if anyone else has this issue on the latest stable build.

I'll have to look into the range listings, I don't know if FTD auto-generates those numbers for the simple shell weapons or not. I could go in and calculate a max range, which would basically be a function of the shell lifetime and the velocity. I could add it to the descriptions on this page, but I'm not 100% certain at this moment if I can get it to show up in the in-game tooltips.

And yes, as of a few game updates ago, they added the ability to add a "local" custom shell to things, so an ammo controller is not explicitly required anymore.

I find no mention of "range" in either the description or the comments. This, despite the fact that
several vanilla Simple weapons specify "Eff. Range [m]" or "Maximum range [m]".

Q: Is there an Effective Range or Maximum Range for the turrets this adds? If so, what are they?

Playing around with these, it seem we can set up custom shell in settings separate from the APS ammo controller. But it also seems that - if we want - we can have the turret select custom shells from APS ammo controllers. So... we don't really need to have an APS ammo controller to use the custom shells we set up within said turrets?

Yup, that's right, 75mm and up all use custom shells, so they work like APS in that regard.

Q: None of these turrets would make use of an APS ammo controller... correct? (The reason I ask is because there are at least 4 turrets in the vanilla "Simple weapons" menu which claim quote "this weapon uses customized shells set in an APS customizer".)

Might I suggest a few tank turrets such as those of the more visibly different M4 Sherman variants? With the new land adventure mode out I think they could add some helpful options for early game landships.

It should still work, I have some of the turrets on my test fortress right now. There are no plugins involved, so basically, it's update-proof.

Interesting, I'll look into this, I uninstalled the old one from my own system, and the sounds still work. I'll double check the sounds are all in the new one.

Was having trouble with sounds for several of the weapons not working. Out of curiosity, I installed the older 'Armored AA Cannons' mod by the same user at the same time as this one, and after sorting through all the errors that caused, the sounds worked. Removed the AA Cannons mod, and the sounds in this mod stopped working again. I think the sound files that are supposed to go with this mod aren't in the right place. Is anyone else having this problem?

You need an APS ammo controller with a valid shell for the custom shell turrets.

Hi, having a problem with the turrets from this mod. Not sure if its a bug or my own incompetence causing it, but I can't find anything on google about it:

Turrets always read as "No Ammo Controller Selected". Its definitely connected to a weapon controller at least. When I configure the turret the "APS Shells Selection" tab is blank.

First, hit the subscribe button on this page. Then follow these install instructions I copy/pasted from one of my other mods. Just replace "mega slopes pack" with the name of this mod.

TO INSTALL:
1. From the main starting menu, hit the "content" tab at the top.
2. In the "mods" section of that menu, hit the "download" button. A list of subscribed mods should appear there.
3. Click the button for Mega Slopes Pack, and a new window should appear.
4. Scroll to the bottom of that window, and hit the "save mod in (new) folder MegaSlopesPack" button.
5. You will likely need to restart the game, and then the new menus should show up.

These look awesome, and some initial testing shows them to be quite effective for their cost without seeming overpowered. Would it be possible to make alloy-textured versions of these as well, entirely for aesthetic reasons?
