At what point does this happen?
Once you clear the area sealing up where the zombies are coming in. A cut scene should play where she opens the door.
I'm wondering if there may be a zombie stuck on a wall somewhere. You may need to kill them all to trigger the cut scene.
Zombies have a tendency to climb walls and get stuck occasionally. This whole map was an experiment and the zombie script isn't mine, although I've played with it a bit. Some of the issue seems to be around narrow passage ways and packs of zombies trying to social distance. They'll climb the walls.
I've just updated this with a second mission. Give it a test and let me know if you find any issues.

Watch the videos in the description.
The icon will only show when using a unit with a plank is selected. Single click seems to be more reliable than double clicking.
If the animation is cancelled or interrupted by user or enemy attack. The plank will simply fall to the ground and not link. Try to let the process/animation complete before moving your unit.
You will get audio ques to help you determine if the link was a success or fail. You will also get visual cue when a pipe or floor plate is completed.
Pipe links are vertical to block the pipes. On Floor plates, the planks link to the floor over the plates.
I plan to make another mission very soon to continue the story. I've been distracted having a little play in Gates of Hell editor.
If I can get it to work, I'll have something unique lined up for the next mission.
Thanks for the extra info.
Hopefully i can work out whats going on in co-op.
Cheers Mate.
Really?
In co-op everything should work the same as single player.
Does the icon show when you hover over the area?
Thanks for letting me know, I hadn't had the chance to test it all in co-op myself yet.
I'll have a look into it when I get the chance.
Was it just that you moved your guy too soon. That can cancel the action. I'm still working out all the nuances of creating "Action" buttons.
After thought....
So this is a major factor as to why I'm thinking about keeping additional missions to a length of about 30-40 min play through.
You were almost at the end of the mission.
Yes my experience with reloading saves has been hit and miss. Sometimes the'll work, other times crash.
I'm yet to solve this and still trying to determine if it's on my end of things. As I have always had issues with reloading saves reliably in my CTA mods.
Is there a way to progress to that point through the editor?
You need to pick up the wooden plank pieces. Then with selected unit hover the cursor over the area so the icon changes. Then simply click with the mouse.
It may not work if you activated "Zombie Mod Script by Guga666555" mod last.
I could continue to expand the current concept test mission and simply open up more of the map.
Or I could continue the story with the next mission starting where the first ends.
If I expand the existing mission, you will retain all your men and equipment. The mission can just continue on. However the game is prone to the odd crash and sometimes save games won't load.
So by making a series of smaller missions, each beginning where the previous one ended. We can avoid some of the stability issues that force you to loose your progress. But each new mission you will not have the same men & equipment.
The map I'm using is an older map I made a long time ago with this sort of mission concept in mind. It is a huge map.
Hey mate, I picked up a few things from some of those mods you showed me. Thanks man.
I have some old mission tutorial videos for Assault Squad 2. You find them in the steam Guide section called "The Guide Files".
I love to think I could find the motivation to do some updated tutorials with Gates of Hell and CTA.
