Heads up to casual players
I don't recommend starting a new game with this mod until the next update drops. A lot of item and weapon codes are being reworked/moved, which might break your saves.
Use at your own risk , or if you're down to help find bugs for future fixes.
Once the update is out and things are safe, this comment will be removed :BL3Shrug:

Obsidia destroys world map gen for me. Its probably incompatible with a mod I just dont know which one. But when I disable obsidia --- world map gen is fine and works normally

So I've done the painful check of every mod. This mod is the only one that seems like it works at the start but as soon as you make a new colony, it doesn't spawn any factions on the map, only one. When using "Dev Quick start" it doesn't spawn in the starting pawns. I have 279 mods without this and they all work perfectly well, only happens when I add Obsidia and its xenotypes.

Will there be an update or fix because as far as I can see Obsidia doesn't mix well with any vanilla expanded or anything with factions and genes in update 1.6. Usually I'd have 800+ mods with no issues in 1.5 (Including this mod) but as of 1.6, Obisidia is very unstable with most mods.

Мод великолепен. На версии 1.5 наиграл с ним много часов. Сейчас, к сожалению, присоединяюсь к Wimpypumpkin, Koneko и MC Honk. (Версия 1.6 + Одиссея) Игра загружается со всеми другими модами (250~ штук), но стоит добавить этот, как при загрузке игры весь экран красный от ошибок - затем исчезает весь интерфейс, появляется ещё одна цикличная ошибка. Сам по себе мод загружается и работает. Также всё работает со второй половиной моего мод листа. Получается идёт конфликт с первой половиной (там в основном моды Vanilla Expended). Если нужны будут логи какие, могу помочь.

I'm trying to build my modslist back after the update, getting a crash on start with Obsidia as well. I'm trying to narrow down what it can be. Unfortunately I can't offer a Hugslib log right now since the crash caused the game to disable all mods. I will dig in and see what I can find

I have the vehicles mod, I'll try disabling that. I was also having some trouble with a few Dryad mods when enabled as well- namely the Dryands and Gauranlen Trees Reworked mods.

Mainly trying to get info out to help the community figure out what is going on

Getting the same errors, activating Obsidia in my mod list causes the game to completely lock up and not even get to the main menu. (My mod list is 225 mods atm, which loads safely otherwise)

Have another XML showing for OE Vehicleturretbase. About reload sound and firing for effect. For all Vehicle turrets.

Love the mod. Tried loading it up today since the DLc dropped. Getting alot of Red text on the main menu.

OE_races Biophormids conflicting VE AnimalsExpanded and has Animal Behaviors?
A bunch of cross references with OE winglance, Swarmella, hootie and a few other things.

I dont know which slime thinggy from which sub mod but their heart core thinggy suddenly spawn over 200 slime on me (not include other type). I wonder if this is intentional?

i'm aware that aura modules are in the mod, i'm saying that I think there should be more! not just auras or regular modules, but special ones like, again, the privateer module.

@Bustly Well, aura modules are already there, they were added for the Obsidia Drifter Clans. Regular ones have an 8-tile radius around the pawn, and the heroic versions go up to 12.
Just a heads-up though: they won’t show up without the Vanilla Expanded Framework installed.

yea something like an aura module, just very close range. in general i just love the module system, it feels like a rimworld-equivalent of a class system

also blackwolf you should some mods that manage your colony's tech level/raid tech level more. obsidia has been known for years to completely murder your new colony because a single obsidian raid happens lmao

i'd be interested in more unique modules like the privateer. one i had in mind was a spotter module, giving some bonuses to a nearby pawn (like 1-2 tiles at most) that help with long-range shooting. some increased range, accuracy, etc..

These eidelons are way to OP, they spawn 3 guys 40 days in that all have lvl 42 psylink full implants,...

(removed their raids in the XML for now)

gotta question though... i cant stop my workers from taking the ammo out of the dispensers.
i can place ammo directly into the storage it has to be put into an injector and then loaded into the storage. but the storage then pre loads each dispenser. the workers then take the ammo from the dispenser and place it back into the injector then it goes back to the storage then back through the pipe line into the dispenser and the cycle never ends!

is there a solution for this that im missing that doesnt involve restricting work zones or anything tedious?

7 Factions, 79 Power Armors, 664 Weapons, 99 bionics, 28 mechs good gods I genuinely hope it does have a Research tree all it's own with all that. If this just every mod and race in the Obsidia legacy pack in one? If so I have a lot of mods I can remove. Maybe even kreltech.

Can you split and release the genes, weapons and armor, items, factions, and other parts of this mod into separate mods? I really like Xenotype in the Obsidia Expansion series, but this mod integrates many assets, making it a bit bloated

im playing with reinforced mechs 2 and using the Gestalt engine ability to hack mechs on the fallen legion and now its got a big blue square around it the whole time

@arget03 As far as I know, you can use the Cherry Picker mod to disable them before starting a new game. After that, you can enable them again if you want.

@Engineer Gaming Part 3 You can convert the Slime Heart (Unconf.) into various types of Slime Heart (Conf.) at the Obsidia Amalgam Vat bench. To unlock this, you'll need to research OE - Bioengineering.
Once you have a configured heart, it works like a fertilized egg and you can grow your own slimes from it!

Apparently CE has patched this, according to files, but i dunno if it's new or out of date. No CE patches for the other xenotypes, unfortunately

@Fibre🌹 You can already do that. By learning "exotic hivetech"(from VFEI2) and then building "artificial biophormids hive" or "artificial royal biophormids hive".

:SurprisedPaperDoll: I...don't know if I got some sort of bug, but I accidentally let a chaos slime colony appear (because I didn't notice a hive soon enough) and I can't seem to select them to cull them, unless the way is locked behind some research? If so, then disregard my question.
