Jokes aside, if you care about being more lore-friendly, I'd suggest renaming it from "Damascus" but keep the word "Damascus" on the modpage so it still appears when searched.
Patternwelded steel, or more properly called "Crucible steel" started off in India, so perhaps you could call them "Crucible [InsertWeaponName]" which sounds even cooler than Damascus to me.
With all credit, of course.

Several people found the mod Trinity did of the Hung manufacturer and were looking for a way to craft the blades (damascus and the wolven)
I am just a beginning modder, but I found a way to create a patch to try and do that. I still need to test it, but wanted to ask your permission to patch the Trinity mod to allow crafting for those people that are looking to make it.
I don't want any credit, I just thought it would make accessible to those players that want their characters in the game tio have the blade. :) Anyway, is is alright to make the patch? Let me know please. Thank you for your time,
Sincerely,
Teal
I'll make a manufacturer mod that includes all your skins, maybe even multiple of them if you want. Like one for damascus and one for wolf blades or whatever
It's probably more on the author of that mod for not using the standard UV map
Let me know if it works, I didn't test it. Also if the handle is still too blue you can edit the "edit me" file included and overwrite the "damascus" file with it.
For reference the wazamono mod can be found here. Wazamono
@OhCactusCat If the weapon has the handle texture applied on it yeah it will be blue. Should be atleast. Thanks btw
Besides, most people don't know the difference.
I appreciate it.
