MessiahLoaft, not likely; however, I am nearing comp[letion of a new build which integrates both, the Enlightenment era, and Future Worlds. Not quite sure when I'll get it out though.
MessiahLoaft 20 Jul @ 5:27am
is this compatible with future worlds mod?
Billy Pol Pot 12 Jun @ 7:46am
You should add a Neander Valley civ to the mod which has a prehistoric unique unit that replaces the savage)))
aradgula  [author] 8 Jun @ 7:04pm
Billy Pol Pot, Yes, and my apologies for not getting back to you're earlier post. At the moment, I don't require additional play testers, as I have enough info to for the next build. As soon as I have the time, I will put it together. If I need additional play testers later, I will definitely keep you in mind... and thanks for the support!

Is this mod still active? I really can't wait to play the next update((

sent you an invite, I would like to play the latest build too!

SakuraKoi, thank you for the encouragement. When I began Uncivilized almost 7 years ago, if you can believe it. Whowards DLL-vmc was really the only good option at the time, so Uncivilized leans heavily on WHowards picknmix mod collection, many of which are included in the current Custom Mod Pack in my workshop. The new version of Uncivilized! fully incorporates Whowards dll-vmc and even more of his modules. While I did do some testing with a version of Community balance patch DLL, the amount of work to migrate to another DLL, is a bit ovewhelming, and I'm also skittish, in that I consider the new version of Uncivilized to be polished and quite stable. If you are interested in being the first bewsides myself to give it a whirl in it's current state, which is solid,, send me a friend request and I will provide a link for the current build. Thanks again!

Just dropping by to say hi. And to cheer you on a little.

With Civ 7 being arguably a flop for now and Civ 6 modding remaining utterly flawed due to the asset limit, I too am looking back into playing Civ 5 somewhat sooner rather than later. Only recently as such I came across Uncivilized and I am smitten.

I'm very much a Marathon player and apart from complete overhauls that also bring them, I considered mods that add tech as the best (and it is a shame that there basically 'there can only be one').

As aware as I am that complete Gaia/Sapiens compatibility is impossible, I do hope for as much as plausible. Luckily, or so I believe, a lot of 'modules' shouldn't conflct like the Terrain and Resource Mods (Collection from Gaia). Regardless, I wish you all the best~

Noble_Steel, slow. In final play testing, but keep coming up with cool new things to add. Also, more than just a tech tree mod. The mod integrates the Prehistoric era, Enlightenment era and Future Worlds, along with expanding every era and adding tons of new content. Play is solid through the Renaissance, still working from there, just a matter of whether I can keep from adding new stuff. Not concerned too much about bugs, they've mostly been worked out the past couple years, although Future Worlds required some updating and haven't got there yet.
Noble_Steel 16 Feb @ 6:48pm
Progress Update on that tech tree mod?
aradgula  [author] 4 Oct, 2024 @ 9:51am
forgiveanangel, in it's current incarnation, not at all really. However, I'm in final balance play testing with a massive rebuild of uncivilized!, incorporating both the Enlightenment era and Future Worlds... along with a ton of original content, including a complete rebuild of the tech tree, expanding every era. It's a slow process though, my hope would be to get it out in 2-4 weeks.
thistledown, little mousedoll 2 Oct, 2024 @ 4:11am
how compatible is this with Enlightenment Era and other such era mods?

Caracal, I'm glad to hear it, thank you.

Amazing mod. Actually works with the AI. Thank you so much this is all I ever wanted.

Billy Pol Pot, I believe so.
Billy Pol Pot 11 Oct, 2023 @ 12:06pm
Is this the latest prehistoric mod??
aradgula  [author] 13 Jun, 2023 @ 10:32am
Benediktas, and thanks for pointing out the bug, I'll keep a close eye on that feature when I get there.
Benediktas 13 Jun, 2023 @ 7:53am
Yeah without civ 4 diplo features works fine :). Thanks looking forward to new versions!:steamhappy:
aradgula  [author] 12 Jun, 2023 @ 9:02am
Benediktas, I would say that it's highly likely it's the civ 4 diplo features mod. The custom dll mod has some compatibility with the civ 4 features, but it may be conflicting with the mod your using. I haven't seen a bug as you've described previously. You might try downloading this version from whoward's website:

https://www.picknmixmods.com/mods/CivV/Diplomacy/CivIV%20Features.html#

It may not be as complete as the mod your using, but should be compatible (I have tried it yet).

The next build of Uncivilized!, which is still a little ways off, will have some civ 4 diplo features included. Once I get to that stage, I will have a better idea of what the issue may be. You might try the cache clearing method described below, but I suspect that is not the issue here.
Benediktas 12 Jun, 2023 @ 8:36am
Great mod but there is a bug:When trading with leaders you get invisible offers and cant see whats offered or what you are offering.
Loaded mods: This, tectonic map script, no capture for uncivilized, civ 4 diplo features, custom dll mod pack.
aradgula  [author] 11 Jun, 2023 @ 9:11am
Scout_Andy, if you haven't already tried this, give it a shot. Many issues with Civ V can be traced to the cache and/or corrupted game files. Let me know how it goes.

Delete contents of Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache

Then have Steam verify the integrity of the Game Cache:
1. Open Steam
2. Click Library
3. Right-click on Sid Meier's Civilization V
4. Click Properties
5. Click the "Local Files" tab
6. Click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache"
Scout_Andy 10 Jun, 2023 @ 7:35pm
I used the national parks, tectonic map, and the custom dll mods. I followed the links posted off this for the mods
aradgula  [author] 5 Jun, 2023 @ 7:51am
Scout_Andy, what mods are you using?
Scout_Andy 4 Jun, 2023 @ 11:19am
Id love to try this mod but every time i try playing it never spawns units in and immediately ends the match. I've only launched with compatible mods. any suggestions?

General_Dummkopf, thank you.
General_Dummkopf 30 Mar, 2023 @ 7:21am
If you're reading this trying to decide if you want to subscribe and play this mod ... stop and go ahead and subscribe. Do it now. It is a ton of fun, really awesome and a well put together mod that adds a whole new dimension (think playability and "re-playability") to Civ 5. You won't regret it ... and Steam makes it so easy to play. I say this because I was not familiar with mods until recently, thinking they were hard to install, etc. It's basically as easy as clicking "Subscribe" here and "Mods" in-game. Enjoy ~ you can thank me later ...
aradgula  [author] 28 Jan, 2023 @ 4:42pm
J, unfortunately no. The Uncivilized! mod required significant balancing to ensure continuity with BNW and would likely be seriously unbalanced with Gaia's Core mod and Sapiens (which I believe requires Gaia's core). However, Uncivilized! has it's own "core mod" here:

https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2688381447

The Custom DLL core mod for Uncivilized! has some of the functionality of Gaia's core as it's based on the same DLL file created by Whoward, though perhaps not the same file version. Additionally, the next version of Uncivilized! will be a major update fully integrated with the core mod linked to above and will include greater functionality as the core mod will be expanded prior to inclusion. Thanks for the question.
J 27 Jan, 2023 @ 6:32pm
Is this compatible with Gaia's core mod? What about Sapiens?

thx
aradgula  [author] 19 Nov, 2022 @ 10:36am
Commandertoblow, if you haven't already, try:

Remove contents of Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache

Then have Steam verify the integrity of the Game Cache:
1. Open Steam
2. Click Library
3. Right-click on Sid Meier's Civilization V
4. Click Properties
5. Click the "Local Files" tab
6. Click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache"

Also, if that hasn't or didn't work and you have other mods running, load Uncivilized! without any other mods, then try adding them back. In working on an update, I just had a similar problem last night and clearing the cache took care of it.
Commandertoblow 19 Nov, 2022 @ 10:19am
for some reason the custom buildings unlocked by techs dont exist, i cant build them and they arent in civopedia
UncivilizedGuy 19 Jul, 2022 @ 12:06pm

Sealdar, if you haven't already, try this:

On Windows:
Remove contents of C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_COMPUTER_NAME\Application Data\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\cache

Then have Steam verify the integrity of the Game Cache:
1. Open Steam
2. Click Library
3. Right-click on Sid Meier's Civilization V
4. Click Properties
5. Click the "Local Files" tab
6. Click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache"

I found a little bug in my game. I've got giant...but the giant on map is just a unit of spearmen.
aradgula  [author] 9 Apr, 2022 @ 11:26am
What difficulty level are you playing on?
dri 7 Apr, 2022 @ 2:52am
this mod is great but for some reason in every match I play with this mod the AI civs are always advancing in tech at a way faster rate than I am. I downloaded a mod called ingame editor which allows you to see other civs and what techs they have and the other AI civs already have 5 techs unlocked after 50 turns in the game. not sure why this happens but this also happened for me with the other prehistoric civ mod. Anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this?
. 18 Feb, 2022 @ 12:56pm
Awesome man. Thanks for the recommendations.
aradgula  [author] 16 Feb, 2022 @ 5:27pm
I'm super glad to hear you're enjoying it. You know, I've been working on this thing for almost three years, and have not used many other mods than my own, so as to not to confuse myself with additional variables. The only ones I use regularly, that are not my own, are Aggressive and Expansive AI, City Banner Plus, Tectonic map script and Really Advanced Setup. From my own workshop, I would recommend the Custom DLL Mod Pack for Uncivilized!. It adds some cool features and a couple improvements. Also, the National Park System, which adds custom buildings if you have a natural wonder in your border. And thanks if you've already checked them out.
. 16 Feb, 2022 @ 8:44am
Unbelievable mod. Great work. Was wondering if you could send me your mod list as I can no longer play this game without this mod. Its that good and I trust your instincts for other changes to the game.
aradgula  [author] 5 Feb, 2022 @ 7:19am
No, it is not compatible with Vox Populi.

Great mod cheers
aradgula  [author] 10 Jan, 2022 @ 3:34pm
No, I haven't played vox populi, but I doubt I could patch it in. I'm working towards making it compatible with other mods that change the tech tree, so maybe down the road.
Sedna 9 Jan, 2022 @ 10:37am
Will it work with Vox Populi...?
