The only way to do things is to edit the .aicr files for each car so they point to some other edited .vaip
Interesting find! But that would mean, even if we make custom profiles and make AI use them, they won't override default .vaip's, and will maybe only add to them?...
We can't even overwrite our own custom ones with a second mod. The one at the top of the modlist wins. Sort of the opposite of the normal way to mod.
AI files will definitely not apply to any Spicy Banger cars, plus AI simply can't drive on some modded tracks. Mod mostly tones down AI aggression towards player and each other.
It's so freaking annoying.

To clarify, there are 3 AI archetypes in-game: default, drifter and latebreaker. I tuned default and drifter to be more "clean" (drifter can be rather pushy at corners though) but left latebreaker to be rather aggressive. Technically these AI patterns should be taken randomly by cars, but I don't think it works like that. I notice that some cars are always more aggressive than others, which means certain bot cars have preset choice of these AI types. Nothing I can do about this, though...
