Hi graves, i'm working to make a server with multiple reactor tiers and haven't had much luck finding anything decent except for these, could I please re-upload this into basemod for a few tweaks such as included components HP output etc.

after checking out your mod I was floored by how powerful they are the only thing I would say if you could you should see if you can use the animation from the animation reactor mod for your mark II I think it would kick it up a notch. :espresso:

would love if these reactors would been made in similar style like the prototech stuff where you need to go out and hunt the blocks to bring them home.

This mod is awesome, however I'm working to combine all of the reactor mods I'm currently subscribed to into a pack. I'm working to make these different mods work somewhat together and to be balanced with each other. I would like to upload this pack so my friends can join me on my world and for other people if they would like to try it. Of course, each of the original mod and maker will receive full credit for the content with links to the original. I'm asking for your permission to to upload this mod.

love this mod, the block reactor worked perfect in my starter ship, my hud was screaming for more power, plus lasers and shields, this worked perfect.

@Stardust I've made a rebalanced version using ModAdjusterV2. Should be a better fit for vanilla.

I'm currently looking for a modder to assist with creating Survival versions of my Reactor and Battery mods. Just want you all to know that I am listening to your requests and suggestions and am working on getting you a Survival version of theses items!

I have to say, the models of these reactors are amazing. But as a previous commenter said, the power output of these doesn't really work for playing a balanced survival world. If you made a more toned down version, it would be greatly appreciated.

For example, the power output of the largest reactor could be turned down to 1500 MW instead of 100 GW. That would bring it to about the same blockspace to output ratio as the vanilla Large Reactor, whilst still being slighty more efficient, giving the player a reason to build it over vanilla.

@OGxSnakexEyez - As far as I know it shouldn't. I myself use weapon core along with my own mods and have not run into any issues. Is there a specific mod you're concerned about it causing issues with?

Yeah, looks like it was not adjusted after testing. Always hike the numbers up when running tests on fuel consumption rates. I'll change it on the next update. Thanks for letting me know!

the V3 Mini Power Core (small grid 1x1x1) and the V2 Compact Power Core (large grid 1x1x1) both have a base inventory capacity of 125,000L, seems way too high compared to the larger size reactors in this pack

It has been brought to my attention that there was a reduction in the collision mesh count for blocks. I'm going through all the current models in this mod to ensure there is no issues with that change. If you noticed that you are able to clip through a item from this mod, it is due to the reduction change. I will get it fixed soon.

Update - Had to build a new PC sorry it took some time. But good news is there will be a small update soon for this mod - It will include some tweaks to the component costs for the Mini V3 Power Core and a few other items to adjust their weights. Later there will be a future update which will include Batteries and another set of Power core designs.

@pandemiccarp743 - Thank you. SE only allows for 16 individual hit box meshes or else it would've been even more accurate. The current hit box is actually missing a section, which I will add as soon as I can get an update out. My PC rig took a crap on me about a month ago and I've only had my laptop which isn't great. I bought parts and am building a new rig this week, so hopefully I can get back to modeling/ modding soon!

yeah sorry, turns out i misread the crash log, it was actually energy shields causing the issue, idk if the problem with that has been resolved or not but yeah, wasnt to do with this mod, my bad, really like this btw, these are gonna become a staple of all my ships

so i have loaded a save with this mod before but all of a sudden its started crashing the game every time i try and load it with it, i can send the crash log if you want, i am not a coder but i had a look and it was something to do with it failing to load some textures or GUI or something idk...

Just to clarify, output is good, fuel consumption is better, the build cost just needs to be adjusted? I can change it and uodate it when I add the new items.

problem is yes a scaling of power s reasonable but think of it this way irl reactors nowadays use less fuel than previous reactors and output tons more power but costs more to build said reactors new part more parts etc that how it should be in this game

Yeah, I agree with Syphond. We would also use it if the cost reflected the power output. x10 the cost of the large reactor for the Primary Power Core would fit.

On another note, your reactors do look fantastic and fit in perfectly with the new heavy industry update.

@DiscusFish86 I checked the Large Grid MKII and it seems to be working with the conveyors just fine. The Small Grid however is bugged and won't make a positive lock with the small conveyor tubes. I know what the issue is and I'm working on the fix now. Thanks for letting me know!

@Syphond - Well, I know very simple coding, I usually get help from others with that part. But I'll ask if it's doable. If need be I can upload a separate version that's more realistic for survival servers?

The models here are awesome. Many thanks for a reactor mod that has awesome looking models. However they give stupid power for the cost and the consumption rate. Can a cfg file be added that can be accessed server side and adjusted for server to use to set up proper power and consumption? Is it possible to change the component cost in a cfg as well? We would love to use this mod, but the power is too high for the cost of the reactor.

@MTGraves lol ik how u feel i only asked bc i started using it in survival and 45 ingots that i collected disappeared in 2 seconds and charged nothing but thanx for fixing that

I also been that type of person who thinks about efficiency the more expensive something is the better the efficiency should be

So after doing the math, the reactor was consuming about 28 ingots a second @ 1hr per 1MW means it would take 100,800 ingots for 1hr of power at max output. So I'm reducing it. If I did the math correctly the update will change it to 0.03 per second. So if the reactor is used @ 100% it'll consume 1.8 ingots a minute, and you'll get 1hr of power for 108 ingots again at max usage.

I'm also going to change the MKII consumption rate to 0.009 per second which should result in 0.54 ingots a minute and 32.4 ingots for 1hr of power at max output.

And just so everyone isn't like that's still too high. The default vanilla Lrg Reactor is 0.08 per second at 5 ingots per minute, at 300 ingots for 1hr of power @ 300MWs not GWs.
