I'll consider doing an engine swap of the Islander 2 or 3, in order to get a bit more power out of it. Again, just watch the Islander collection in case I do.

This is the fastest I have been able to push this particular drivetrain and hull, it is really at its limits here. For the size of cabin that you get and the range you get with this boat, the speed is actually rather fast. This particular version is also designed with efficiency in mind, hence the hybrid drive system.

That said, I am producing a new version using modular engines and a complete design overhaul from the ground up, which should hopefully make it a bit faster. So far it is just a hull, with 2 modular engines, and a fuel tank, so I can't say yet how much faster it will be. I am definitely aiming to make it faster than my previous Islander 1, 2 and 3 boats. Keep watching the collection and it should be there at some point.

In the meantime, if you want a bit more speed out of this version, then disengage the Eco Gear which is on by default. This will let the engine RPS go higher and you will go a bit faster, but with increased fuel burn.

Dont suppose you could make a less efficient fast version? I find this is a really nice boat but painfully slow
