Hello! I've noticed in other comments this appears open source, but I just wanted to ask anyway. Would you mind if we were to use this mod (or just parts) as a basis for our own melee ability system for a Medieval project we're working on? The UI and ideas for ours are already done, we just need examples of how its coded for it to function, and you'll be credited. Thanks a bunch!

This mod does not include support for Combat Expanded or Vanilla Psycasts Expanded.

If you would like the latter, this mod has been integrated into "Alpha Animals" as part of the psycast trees they add.

I don't believe this version of the mod isn't but if you're running alpha animals alongside VPE, there will be a new skill tree under the alpha animals tab that has these psycasts.

Updated! Done my best to squash any bugs- and overall improved the code.

Also did a few balance changes on the Psyfocus consumption of all of the abilities.

I spawned in the psytrainers on 1.4. Most of it works as expected. Slice, Charge, and Charge Skewer will max your neural heat and not do anything with the heat limit on, with it off they still do nothing with your neural heat increasing at 500~ a second with no sign of stopping (I stopped watching around 100000).
Also, have you considered allowing the one square abilities to be used diagonally? You can melee attack diagonally and the plus shape makes it a bit awkward to make use of your abilities.

I'll look into updating it (I'd appeciate if someone tried its current version and saw if it still works first, as I reckon it'll just be a tag change), however I am out of town right now so you'll have to wait a couple days.

What if I don't want alpha animals? Does it mean there'll be no 1.4 update and I won't be able to use this mod?

Alpha Animals -> These Psycasts for Royalty + VE Psycasts

Hey, I'm adding psycast paths to Alpha Animals (that obviously appear when VE Psycasts is used), would you like me to add these as a new psycast tree? With credit given, of course

Hello! I haven't played rimworld or done any modding in a while so I'm not currently planning on updating this. That said, Vanilla Psycasts Expanded does seem like an amazing mod so if someone would like to patch this themselves feel free, or if I find the motivation, I will attempt to do it myself.

Honestly, the psycasts in this mod could all be adopted into VPE as one skill tree as they all follow a common trend.
