Scherub  [author] 22 Oct, 2022 @ 2:19pm
Just use https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2558042766 , it's more or less the same and already updated to v1.4. :)
Skynert 22 Oct, 2022 @ 2:17pm
1.4? Please?
MrNiceGuy 12 Jan, 2022 @ 2:41am

3 better alternatives? haha. U R so honest. give u ma award. have a nice day.
HeemboGlobin 29 Jul, 2021 @ 11:49am
Alright thanks guess I'll just give it a shot then.
Scherub  [author] 29 Jul, 2021 @ 11:38am
I did this two days ago without experiencing any issues.

Of course, you should have a separate save... just in case.
HeemboGlobin 29 Jul, 2021 @ 10:14am
Would it be safe to uninstall this mod and install Room Size Tolerance instead mid-save?
Scherub  [author] 28 Jul, 2021 @ 9:19am
The alternatives are both configurable. Additionally, at least 'Realistic Rooms Rewritten' changes the definitions by applying 'patches' instead of overwriting the base definition files. I'm not sure whether it makes a difference here, but it sure is the preferable approach.

I've also personally switched to the rewritten version. I think the only drawback is, at least for some people, that the rewritten version doesn't support any previous RimWorld version.

In opposite to the other mods I've updated, where I had to make minor changes, this version here was primarily a tag update, so people knew it would work with v1.3.
Lufian 28 Jul, 2021 @ 6:11am
is there actually any difference between the alternatives?
unsuspected 28 Jul, 2021 @ 12:34am
Why are the alternatives better? This seems to be working just fine for me, so I'm wondering is there actually a reason to switch. Ty for your work :)
catharsis 27 Jul, 2021 @ 9:55pm
Is this safe to remove from ongoing saves?
Kenpachi 27 Jul, 2021 @ 10:34am
well this is not "his" mod so normal but the work he put for making this "compatible" with 1.3 is appreciate
feanor68 27 Jul, 2021 @ 4:14am
@Scherub, just wanted to say thanks for sharing your mod, been using it 'forever' :)

Also, huge kudos for pointing out the other mods and describing them as better alternatives -- rather selfless, which seems rare these days, so that deserves some unasked-for-praise, as well!
Varthian 26 Jul, 2021 @ 11:28pm
@Coldcell They do it in a more modular fashion so your save does not brick itself should you remove the mod.
Scherub  [author] 26 Jul, 2021 @ 11:25pm
They're both configurable and use a more recent approach to modify the game.

As various people already stated, this version here is mainly a tag update.
coldcell 26 Jul, 2021 @ 11:20pm
How are the 2 other mods better? They seem to be doing the same thing?
Scherub  [author] 26 Jul, 2021 @ 7:12pm
I've updated the in-game mod description as well as the mod description on the workshop page to suggest switching to one of the other two mods.
Kenpachi 26 Jul, 2021 @ 6:42pm
there is a better mod that do the same as this for so long https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2018432252 and configurable !
Lucifer 26 Jul, 2021 @ 3:19pm
@KitsuneKas, I rewrote this mod using new methods, you can get it here https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2558042766
Wolfette 26 Jul, 2021 @ 1:33pm
@KitsuneKas, looks like someone took you up on that.
KitsuneKas 26 Jul, 2021 @ 1:12pm
@SomewhereOutInSpace This is just a straight up tag update on a mod from 1.0. The original version used now-outdated methods. A lot of very popular mods even up to 1.1 continued to overwrite base defs. This guy didn't rewrite the mod, he just added 1.3 tags to a very popular mod that the original author has seemingly abandoned. I did the same thing with a local copy myself. If you feel like rewriting this mod using up to date methods, feel free.

lmaoooo 44k subscribers AND HE'S NOT USING PROPER PATCHING??
Dr Zhivago 25 Jul, 2021 @ 6:47pm
Please switch to using xpath instead of overwriting base game assets
AC 24 Jul, 2021 @ 12:00am
@Sniper101*/Jjoncm1 people are lazy or didn't read that it worked fine. Me i'm just lazy.
Nedrial 23 Jul, 2021 @ 3:10pm
Could you do the Realistic Rooms Lite, too?
Prydzen ᛋᛟ 23 Jul, 2021 @ 5:02am
can you include "dormotory not barracks" with this?
LootGoblin 22 Jul, 2021 @ 9:05pm
this one is a fav
Crimson Bolt 22 Jul, 2021 @ 6:36pm
It does indeed, but not everyone knows that and not everyone is comfortable with an "outdated mod".

It also hasn't been updated in a very long time (not that it needed to be updated)
Sniper101*/Jjoncm1 22 Jul, 2021 @ 5:49pm
I thought people were saying the other version still worked fine even though it gave an outdated warning?
Mereel 22 Jul, 2021 @ 2:57pm
Always hated how a cannibal could just not deal with living in a new York size apartment lol
Aurabeth 22 Jul, 2021 @ 2:20pm
