Only tested extremely briefly but looks like it's still working in 1.5...
TracerFoxTEK 3 May, 2024 @ 12:33pm
Anyone know if this is still working up in 1.5 territory?
Sensate 1 Oct, 2023 @ 3:03am
@The Blind One Thank you !
The Blind One 1 Oct, 2023 @ 3:02am

none 9 Sep, 2023 @ 3:22am

Please Uptade!
spicypirate77 6 Dec, 2022 @ 1:07pm
great mod, well implemented, thankyou, would greatly appreciate 1.4 update, Iv'e gotten a bit spoiled with this mod. It adds just the right amount but not too much. needs to be more mods like this.

Are you planning to change the new grains from VPE More Plants to match wheat?
PumaUlme314 10 Feb, 2022 @ 7:37am
Please make an update for that mod to make it compatible with the new Vanilla Plants Expanded - More Plants
Chiyo 24 Oct, 2021 @ 1:55pm
Also, I can't seem to find your wheat or sugarcane, they're all either VGP or VCE.
Chiyo 24 Oct, 2021 @ 1:51pm
why can't we use the mill or quernstone for sugarcane? Is there a better place to crush the sugar at?
Kayedon 8 Oct, 2021 @ 10:43pm
Hi, I am confused.

Your description does not mention a butchery recipe to make sugar more quickly. However, your mod content does.
MakeSurgaryJuice has <defName>COMIGO_MakeSugarcane_Butchery</defName>. Sugarcane's description states <description>Gathered sugarcane, ready to further processing at butcher table or crushing spot. Not particularly nutritious on its own.</description>. But no recipe exists on the butcher table, as nowhere in your XML or Parents do you assign it to the butchery table. Is this intentional? As mentioned in literally the first comment, makes no sense that the only way to get sugar is from the crushing spot.
Lark 13 Sep, 2021 @ 2:38pm
is this compatible with Grains and Brewing?
Meownaa 4 Sep, 2021 @ 7:18pm
Thank you. :)
Triel 4 Sep, 2021 @ 8:33am
Right. Im really hoping someone will make a merge mod someday, 2 types of flour are bothersome
Bara CoMiGo  [author] 2 Sep, 2021 @ 10:02pm
@Demopan, atm VGP will exist alongside my mod, with no resources merged. So two kinds of flour it is.
Triel 31 Aug, 2021 @ 5:34pm
Neat. Is it compatible with VGP tho? and would it be possible to make both mods use one flour and sugar?
Maal 28 Aug, 2021 @ 7:56pm
Unless it's a weirdness on my side, but the electric mill's not-bulk bill doesn't allow corn and rice. The electric bulk and the spot/quernstone recipees are fine tho.
tidal 16 Aug, 2021 @ 10:35pm
I'll see what I can do for compatibility now that I know this exists.
Xidon Eye 16 Aug, 2021 @ 3:58pm
hey, i had a problem with your and Grains and Brewing and "fixed" it myself. one day, in a far far future, i try to create a thaching spot with worktype meele, like "Vanilla Factions Expanded - Vikings"s Trainings dummy but grains get produced.
this [github.com] is a quick fix. but it feals raw.
i can't code, or create patches.xml or anything like it so i changed your files directly. sorry for violating your work.
Bara CoMiGo  [author] 9 Aug, 2021 @ 6:06pm
@Mitroll, it is.
Mitroll 9 Aug, 2021 @ 2:42pm
Is this all XML? Wondering for multiplayer reasons.
Innocent Man 9 Aug, 2021 @ 8:22am
please have some form of electric method to crush sugarcane or add that to the electric mill it feels weird having my industrial colony crushing sugar cane like its the stone age
Bara CoMiGo  [author] 8 Aug, 2021 @ 7:09pm
Aaaand what? Considering that end resources' amount was unchanged (and it was), wheat is inefficient witout my mod as well.
Everybody loves me 8 Aug, 2021 @ 4:40pm
Hi, I do not know if it is profitable to grow wheat with your mod. The mill receives the same amount of rice / corn / wheat in any case. But rice and corn grow 3/11 days and give 6/22 crops. And wheat grows the most. It grows 15 days but the harvest is only 27. The time / yield ratio of rice and corn is slightly better. Undoubtedly wheat saves space, but there is a feeling that wheat does not need to be grown for maximum efficiency.

I have an idea how to reasonably enhance cotton production: by creating at least two types of cotton fabric: the regular one and the denim, more expensive but sturdy option. Probably terrycloth for warmer items and that soft towel-like feeling lol.
sebjouin 6 Aug, 2021 @ 10:47am
Well, they just don't look 10% as good as yours but I understand your point. Thanks for having taken the time to answer!
Bara CoMiGo  [author] 6 Aug, 2021 @ 1:16am
Not barley, but rye, yea
Bara CoMiGo  [author] 6 Aug, 2021 @ 1:12am
@sebjouin, there are mods already for more advanced tanning and cotton processing. For example, this mod for tanning seems to be alive and contain patches for some mods: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1713884017
Tho it does look ugly.

And about myself, I'm pretty content about the current state of leathers and cotton in-game. Maybe not that much about cotton. I doubt the reason to make mods for them; adding production chains there will impair balance, especially for tribes, even more for nomadic ones. Also tanning is more tricky technically.

I may or may not look into Grains and Brewing. I don't like the brewing part (useless bloat), but barley is barley, it is good to have those grains that do not require high fertility. Maybe I'll just a barley plant to the mod itself lol.
Maal 5 Aug, 2021 @ 6:27pm
Thank you for supporting other grain, I play with seedplease and finding that one specific seed can take years!
sebjouin 5 Aug, 2021 @ 2:01pm
Great mod man, thank you for fixing these shortcuts into real production chain.
Couple remarks:
- +1 to the request to patch for Grains and Brewing. It's a very cool mod, worth it.
- I'm a bit miffed to have a high tech colony and still beating the sugar cane manually (no innuendo). Even nowadays in many places like SE Asia we have mechanical/automatised sugarcane extractor. You can see them on the street and buy the juice just as you'd buy a soda. Feel free to ask if you can't find a model ;)

Last and not least, now that you fixed this inaccuracy, how do you feel about cotton and leather ^^
NorthRaider123 2 Aug, 2021 @ 3:32pm
could you possible add support for Grains and Brewing? it adds rye, millet and sorghum as other sources of of grain
SuRving 30 Jul, 2021 @ 4:44am
Thanks for the mod and the frequent updates
Bara CoMiGo  [author] 30 Jul, 2021 @ 2:40am
Update:

— Quernstones' description and texture changed to depict an actual querntone.
— Quernstone's efficiency boosted from 75% to 100%.
— Any flour recipes now accept rice, corn, and wheat. Previously they supported wheat exclusively.
Bara CoMiGo  [author] 30 Jul, 2021 @ 1:43am
Yes. I didn't change any VCE recipes.
GroovyTaco 29 Jul, 2021 @ 9:42pm
Is the simple baked recipe only supposed to cost flour?
Regent 28 Jul, 2021 @ 6:48am
Due this works with the mod that adds something simular ? Rye
Arswind 27 Jul, 2021 @ 5:18am
I copied the files from 1.3 and paste it to 1.2 folder. glad it is working on 1.2
Bara CoMiGo  [author] 26 Jul, 2021 @ 9:21pm
@Arswind, then make a version for 1.2. I'm not writing mods for deprecated versions.
Arswind 26 Jul, 2021 @ 7:12pm
we need 1.2 so bad
Paolini 26 Jul, 2021 @ 10:05am
Wait this requires Vanilla Expanded Cooking but your CompactKitchen mod doesn't support VEC recipes ?
Azerbaijan_Technology 26 Jul, 2021 @ 3:35am
You should allow corn, rice and potatoes to be crushed into flour too.
Bara CoMiGo  [author] 23 Jul, 2021 @ 8:32pm
That's called downgrade to a deprecated version. So the answer is — never, lumberfoot.
