Patch is up, leaving this mod here for any lingering 1.3 players. If you're making the switch to 1.4, you can unsub from this mod and use the other one.

Status update on the update for 1.4: In theory this mod should work just fine, unless something altered how Ideology roles are defined on a fundamental level. However, computer shenanigans have resulted in me losing the original files, so i'm just gonna pull copies of all my Rimworld mods from the workshop and bundle 'em after making sure they work with Biotech. Call it a QoL patch or whatever, save space on people's modlists.

Can you also make gunner/melee specialists able to use melee/ranged weapons as well?

some roles still cant use melee, like the shooting specialists, but doesent seem to be the same for shooting specialists

Yep, in theory it should work with any mod that adds an Ideology role as well

Upgraded a pawn to Production specialist, today, and now he just wanders around the base. I knew some jobs would be disabled but underestimated the effect it would have. Nope Nope Nope...5 minutes later, I'm downloading this mod. Thank you!!!

Honestly it wouldn't be a problem for me if being a production specialist didn't remove a persons plant skill entirely making it so that if they go to cut a tree for a construction which they excel at instead they spend 6 hours cutting a single tree with null plant skill.

Thanks, I really don't get Tynan's fetish for making leaders functionally useless across both DLCs. Sorry I'm gonna want my melee specialist to return to his day job when there's no raids going on tyvm.

Great mod, I think vanilla should have global work reduction speed instead of fully disabling.
