Sad they don't seem to be able to retain their ammo if you use another ammo in your suit
Like if I have a poison gun and have a dragon ammo (to use with the main weapon),the poison pistol will shoot fire bullets,not poison ones
Altho it seem to give a "reload with X ammo",here poison ammo,to swap them so its nice enough of a compromise I guess,weird it doesn't work like the Ammos as modification mod,where they overwrite the ammo slot

I doubt there's anything Tesla makes that isn't compatible with CI to be honest.

You can either change the color in the *.int file I mentioned, or remove HTML codes related to font colors and UI Colored Weapon Tiers should be able to pick them up.

Is there a way to change the color of the weapon name in "[WotC] UI --Colored Weapon Tiers" etc.?
I want to divide it into two colors, MAG and BEAM.

Thank you. The culprit is Utility Slot Sidearms WOTC. Sadly my mod will not be compatible with this one. I will note it in mod description. A very very good alternative would be Dedicated Pistol Slot 2.0.

Also after you construct them, they don’t show up as equippable, I have no clue what making them actually does.

I play with Strategy Overhaul and Prototype Armoury, works great for me.

Can you share your modlist with me so I can figure this out? You can export your modlist as text file in the profile tab of AML. And a screenshot of the messed up localisation helps too.

Potentially you have other mods messing with this mod. Do you have (WOTC) Everyone Equips Everything? As mentioned in mod's description above, it will mess up this mod.

They've all got weird names in the build menu and missing localization too, is that intentional since there's so many potential pistols?

The local version of this mod runs fine without Experimental Ammo as its required tech so basically that's what will be in the next update to resolve that annoyance. Ammo is still needed to build the pistol you want so it will work fine.

@TeslaRage Suggestion: When a new ammo is discovered in the proving ground maybe it would be more convenient to only show the pistol associated with it instead of all the pistols in popups. If the same ammo is gained again there should be no popup. Your opinion?

@Dorante as mentioned, (WOTC) Everyone Equips Everything is the culprit in your modlist. I highly recommend removing that mod as it can break other mods as well.

I might have a bug. All pistols are already available for purchase even without mag/plasma tech or experimental ammo project and their names are listed as errors. Moreover only templar class can use them.
Is it because i didn't research mag/plasma yet? But even so, why are they available since the beginning?
Send me a PM to discuss about it, i'll also provide screenshots and streaming (on a discord server tho) if you feel like you need it

@TeslaRage In my current campaign I just acquired plasma technology. In the build menu both mag and plasma versions of pistols are listed. Is this intentional?

Yeah I am aware. It happens because Experimental Ammo is a required Tech. I will remove it in the next update. It does no harm at the moment. You could remove it from the config if you wish.

@TeslaRage When I disabled Primary Secondaries there was only one entry for each pistol in the build menu like it should be so the double entries are definitely related to Primary Secondaries.

If I remember correctly, that's how PS works. It creates Primary versions of Secondary weapons so that is how you see replicates of these

@TeslaRage I just verified that I have two entries for every pistol but I also have two entries for the regular mag pistol. I am going to temporarily disable primary secondaries and see if that has an effect.

I made this mod with True Primary Secondaries (during build and test). For every ammo (assuming default configs) there should be 2 versions of the pistol, one for mag tier and another for beam tier. Not sure how it would behave with Primary Secondaries (have not used that mod in a long time) but likely it would turn up like how you described.

The two entries might be Mag/Beam tier ... or very possibly Primary/Secondary if you are using the 'older' Primary Secondaries mod

((which felt nice not being the code-monkey for once!!))

@RustyDios I did one experimental project and all the pistols were added to my list of possible builds. ( can't build them all until I get the proper ammo. I notice there are two entries in the inventory for each. (Primary/Secondary?) Was it intended to add all of them to possible builds at the same time?

@Frizzeldian12 Yes you can inflict both. They should be in engineering after you have researched Plasma Rifle and have done Experimental Ammo project at least once. I am working on Mag versions of these pistols so that you can obtain them with mag stats after researching Magnetized Weapons.
