The only problem left is that not all units are eligible for blessings and the random nature in which the missions spawn. There problably needs to be a system that lets the player control spawnings, maybe with a resource coming from the other undercooked campaign mechanic, the geomantic web. But I digress, thx 4 your work.
A Perfect mod.
I am super glad that you have found such enjoyment in this mod, and that you consider it a staple for playing LM. The goal with this mod was mixing viability with thematics while also being fun, so I am glad that you think I made a good job
Great work, thanks! I don't mind liking proper, working ideas.
Thank you for the kind words. It feels nice knowing other people like my ideas.
As for the compatibility, they should work together, but you will have to try them yourself. If it does not work, try changing their load order
With that said, it isn't compatible with this mod, is it: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2547237270 ? These two together would fix the entire system, nothing else is needed.
Update: Sotek's Poison should no longer cause friendly fire damage
I will try to have a update out today fixing this
No it is not. I might have made the first mod with this concept, but I don't own it. A big part of modding is taking inspiration from each other and making ever growing and better mods
Then the fault is not mine, but CA's, as the sotek poison is actually in the game already, I only made the greater one.
I might look into how it would work, we will see
@TechPriest97
I will look into this, but are you referring to the normal one or the one unique to the Cult of Sotek?
Well i am not sure how it will fit into the whole dlc aspect, as the units added would come from the dlc's, so I don't know how it would interact with a player that does not own a particular dlc, or if I am even allowed to
I think it is possible but I am not actually sure
Updated with Greater Blessings for every faction
@Ptero64
The plan is to add more Old Ones in the future, but I will work on other mods first
I will consider it
@new0day
I see no reason for it not to be, but you will have to test yourself
@npdejong
Tzunki was a hard one to make, because I wanted to keep it in line with the lore but still make it good. I will have a look at balancing it
Quetzl is their warrior god, yes. But Tlazcotl is the impassive
From lizardmen 6th edition on Saurus blessed by Tlazcotl: "These Saurus reflect the impassiveness of the Old One Tlazcotl, and remain unaffected by even the most harrowing experiences."
This line is from 8th edition on Gor-Rok: "Gor-Rok does not know pain or fear, and in combat he is unrelenting"
While Quetzl is the warrior god, Tlazcotl is the passive and defensive, fitting Gor-Roks theme more
So I stay by my decision
The normal one has a 50% chance to deal 1 damage to 30 models every 0.5 seconds. The Greater one simply sets the seconds to 0.25.
@BungusFlungus
Do you mean as skills, as Saurus Oldbloods have, or as upgrades?
Glad that you enjoyed what I have done here
To me, the three Greater ones currently in the mod was the most clear, but now that I think about it Huanchi for Oxyotl is pretty clear as well.
After doing some quick research right now, I could easily bind Kroq-Gar to Itzl from this line from the wiki "and each possessed an innate dominion over the native beasts of the jungle."
And the line "Gor-Rok does not know pain or fear, and in combat he is unrelenting" kinda fits with Tlazcotl, and he is albino so he has to be blessed by someone
We will see about Nakai, as I can't find anything specific from my quick glance. But he has three old ones build temples to right? I will look into him and we will see
I will look into Huinitenuchli (I looked it up) and Tetto'eko but I see no reason not to add them if I find something fitting
And last, regarding more blessings, I see no reason not to add more in the furure, but for now I will focus on these canges first
"Blessing of Huanchi" I could lower the hiding scalar for blessed spawnings in general, making stalk and snipe better.
"Blessing of Tlazcotl" In tabletop, which some of these are based after, it actually gives Immunity to psychology, and for the reasons you stated, I upgraded it to unbreakable, which actually helps the Lizardseven though they don't have huge morale problems
"Blessing of Tepok" Tepok is the god of protection from magic, not actually magic if I don't remember wrong, and he is also the god of air, making speed kinda fitting. Also, giving them a aoe magic resistance remover is kinda op, and a contact effect would interfere with the factionwide poison skinks get from tech
"Blessing of Itzl" Decelaration and acceleration isn't actually to important is it, and if there was another ability on the same blessing, the UI would be a bit crowded
"Blessing of Chotec" The greater one has flammable attacks, but I might ad the resistance
Just making suggestions in the event that you add more Greater Blessed Spawnings, Itzl or Xokha seem like they'd work with Kroq-Gar. Quetzl or Tlazcotl seem like they'd fit for Gor-Rok, or Quetzl could go to Nakai given the later could always use stuff to toughen up his Kroxigors. And it'd seem like something of a crime if Huanchi didn't go to Oxyotl. And if you wanted to go crazy and take into account Mixu's Lizards, I'd go Tzunki for Purple and Yellow Toad (now way I'm going to try and spell that name from memory) and whoever you didn't choose for Kroq-Gar would be Tetto'eko's.
Or maybe you'll take us by surprise and add more Blessings since there are still a couple Old Ones out there. Either way, I'm subbed and will watch this mod with great interest.
"Blessing of Huanchi" also give additional range to the unit; as of currently the Snipe ability is sort of useless most units just have too short range to realy make use of it; since by that point that they're close enough, enemies can see them anyway; addition also usefull for artillery.
"Blessing of Tlazcotl" - not that usefull since most lzd units never have issue on leadership; i suggest giving it some buff-aura.
"Blessing of Tepok" - i'd give it magic-attacks along with the minus magical-resistance aura debuff instead of speed-bonus; and move the speed to Itzl; since Tepoc associated with magic typicaly.
"Blessing of Itzl" - speed bonus from above to this one; also grant it that new passive-ability that gives increase decelaration/acceleration.
"Blessing of Cho'tec" - Flammability debuff & Fire-Resistance? or if you're feeling realy spicy x1 use of Fireball instead of the flammability debuff.
