Why would I spend 30k on a building that only gives local buffs? It should've given factionwide buffs instead, with toned down numbers. (+3 armor, +2 pierce, +1% missile resist)

this mod requires mixu's unlocker, using the mod without it causes the crashes

Unfortunately it still crashes the game, tested it on multiple settlement types and with ruins and intact settlements.

Weird. I was just playing a chaos campaign yesterday and didn't have any issue. I have this mod and about 60 others enabled, including chaos dwarves and all of Mixu's stuff.

Unfortuntely, I can confirmed the fortress caused crashing. No other mods installed except Chaos Tower and this mod. Hopefully it will get fixed soon. Because we (chaos player) need it badly. Awesome concept bro

That's really weird, im gonna try again today on a minor norscan settlement, when i did it it in middenheim, could be minor settlements that are broken we'll see

Two issues I've found:
1. Same as Lonewolf - the Fortress building completion crashes the game.
2. Having this mod on together with Chaos Towers makes the Recruit Hero button in the Chaos outpost crash the game. Without Chaos Fortress enabled, you can press the Recruti Hero button just fine.

I tried building the bloodgrounds building in a minor norsca settlement and the game crashed on the turn when it was finally built.

Updated effects to only include local armies. Increased values since they won't stack anymore. Building now costs 30k.

Well, that -1 horde growth will really cripple new hordes later in the game, specially if you raise many fortresses. And the same goes to the speed debuff - will make Chaos Knights and Dragon Ogres worse.

Not as bad, but 40.000 for this building? Way too much. Early game that's just crazy.

How about raising the time it takes to build them and make them buff enemy armies in the region? Like raing winds of magic and 10% ward save for enemy armies. It will make defending the fortress more challenging and you could reduce their cost in half or less. And couldn't you just make them use upkeep or raise upkeep by 1% or 2% instead of consuming precious growth and reducing speed?

So far this is player only. I can look into getting the AI to use it, but AI modding is more error-prone.

Regarding buffs/debuffs, I always play chaos as a slow moving, heavily armoured wall of infantry that sweeps across the battlefield as the hell cannons fire overhead. Very much certain doom that you can run from, but can't do much about. Plus I figured it should cost at least some growth to keep a fortress around.

Very cool, although... why does the building reduces speed and horde growth? I haven't tested the mod, but I'd rather it didn't have any buffs or debuffs. Great job, either way.
