Updated for 1.6
- fixed settings issue (only for 1.6... since I'm currently busy now sorry!)
Justacommonegg 10 May @ 1:20pm
Same as everyone else, settings not saving
Hun Alexander 1 May @ 9:34pm

Also having the issue Victor raised: settings aren't being saved.
graublau 15 Jun, 2024 @ 1:55am
Yeah, I'm having the same issue as Victor. I finally remembered that I might be able to just change it permanently in the config.xml but ... there is none? Which might explain the issue.
Victor 19 May, 2024 @ 6:22pm
Well, I finally tested this mod with only Core+Harmony loaded, and indeed changing the default settings and clicking apply still gets reset after closing the game
Victor 4 May, 2024 @ 1:01pm
Maybe it is another mod causing it? I would suspect Rocketman
Victor 4 May, 2024 @ 1:00pm
The setting slider is not saved correctly, each new game I have to change it again and generate a new policy
hallister 9 Apr, 2024 @ 4:45pm
Oh so it turns out I'm just an idiot lol. Thanks!
SeoHyeon  [author] 9 Apr, 2024 @ 3:41pm
@hallister
Well, you can add the policy manually in the mod settings of this mod.
Load the existing save, and just adjust some values in the mod settings, then you can see the button labeled 'add to current save'
hallister 9 Apr, 2024 @ 10:34am
I finally had to give up on this mod since I literally cannot figure out how to make it generate a new policy for an existing save. Someone mentioned a setting for having to enable create on load in the settings, but there is no such setting for this mod.

This really needs a HugsLib menu in game that you can one-click generate a new policy. It's a little weird to be pressing an apply button in mod options, when it's unclear what that is even doing.

But rather than just rant about your free labor, is there a repo for this? I'm no modder, but I would like to see if I can figure out how to make this work with HugsLib if you aren't interested in what I imagine is a rewrite.

== Update ==
- recompiled for 1.5

@Victor
Thanks for your report, I'll figure out. But in my case, No such issue has occurred.
Victor 21 Feb, 2024 @ 6:35pm
I think since last update, the settings are not being saved correctly, whenever I start a new save, my set values are reset.
SeoHyeon  [author] 15 Dec, 2023 @ 9:13pm
@wrightc214
These drugs are never safe drugs. So they are allowed for addiction only, therefore they would work as same as Vanilla.
You need to manually allow them for Wasters or Hussars
wrightc214 15 Dec, 2023 @ 8:15pm
Will this let VE Wasters and Hussars get their genetically required flake/go juice?
ray12031203 12 Dec, 2023 @ 12:12am
@SeoHyeon 정말 감사합니다!!
SeoHyeon  [author] 12 Dec, 2023 @ 12:12am
Update:
Added integration with "Only If Tolerance Below for Drug Policy".
No more duplicates drug policy and you need to manually add by its options if you want to add the policy existing saves.
No more requires Harmony

혹시 "약물 정책 '내성 기준치' "모드랑 호환시켜 주실 수 있습니까? 안전한 정책을 생성할 때 내성 기준도 같이 설정해주면 좋을 것 같습니다.
Victor 29 Aug, 2023 @ 10:20am
Hi, can you add a patch for not allowing the Aperitif from Vanilla Factions Expanded - Empire to be used for recreation by default? It empties the stomach and makes the colonist vomit everywhere.
DisKorruptd 19 Aug, 2023 @ 8:24am
Can you add a policy that only does "never addictive" drugs?
Cosmo Corban 31 May, 2023 @ 8:28pm
How do I use this mod? lol
Aster 14 Feb, 2023 @ 8:30am
@Arky there is now a "stop duplicating the policy on load" option enabled by default. I had to briefly turn it off for a new save to have it generate for the first time, but it does prevent issues when re-enabled.
Arky 9 Jan, 2023 @ 2:31am
Does this still creates endless policies?
Agraza 6 Nov, 2022 @ 8:27am
They definitely still get addicted if you have several of the same kind of joygiver present, but its better than nothing. Thanks.

Yes!
brucethemoose 9 Oct, 2022 @ 6:34am
1.4?
NRFBToyStore 30 Aug, 2022 @ 9:56pm
@Arky Or create a simple import/export feature like other mods have.
Astrobia 28 Mar, 2022 @ 6:48pm
This sounds great but it needs an option to push a button in the mod options to generate a list rather than doing it every load.
Arky 7 Sep, 2021 @ 10:46pm
Generate policies at every load. I honestly think it would be better to generate a single policy like in vanilla and do not update it, even if we delete it.
Hyomoto 6 Sep, 2021 @ 12:41pm
I have the same issue as Deepfield, it seems to make a new policy at every load.
Ryusho Yosei 3 Sep, 2021 @ 10:51am
My mistake, it can be set in its options, so maybe that should be its "Default" setting, at like 50% or something.
Ryusho Yosei 3 Sep, 2021 @ 10:51am
I actually had two people join and..promtly get blackout drunk on the safe polocy because it assiggns all the alcohols to "Safe to take once per day." but it assigns it as to take every day, period, I think it should default to "Take only if below a certian mood threshhold and recreation threshhold" to help...preven them suddenly going taking all t he things and..potentially overdosing/dying or going fully blackout drunk for...over 24 hours...
reotardo da vinci 31 Aug, 2021 @ 11:47pm
Somebody recommended this mod to me but it does not have the feature I want. I want to be able to make a pawn take wake-up when they are tired. Would you please add a slider for tiredness?
Aesrys 29 Aug, 2021 @ 7:30am
@Beter Are you using Pawn Rules (or something like that) by chance? I think that's the mod that adds that button. I've seen it before this mod was released.
Mr Nimbus 28 Aug, 2021 @ 6:31pm
@seohyeon I'm using lots of mods, but none that affect drug policies, nor are there any red errors.

However, this mod seems to break the drug policy ui, by adding a weird box at the end of the "delete policy" box, which does nothing: https://imgur.com/a/CiwxwuI
Deepfield 28 Aug, 2021 @ 4:16am
Policies seem to be duplicating for some reason with every load
SeoHyeon  [author] 28 Aug, 2021 @ 12:18am
@Beter
It appears likely to be a conflict with other mods. Was there any red errors or what mods did you using?
Mr Nimbus 27 Aug, 2021 @ 7:52pm
Also, further to my previous comment, this mod doesn't appear to have done anything - the "Safe From Addiction" policy was generated, but not a single schedule was assigned to any of the drugs...
Dirty Mike and The Boys 27 Aug, 2021 @ 4:15am
TheGoofyOne has a mod series where he makes all the alcohols more or less addiction free, that's what I use with VBE

Deepfield 27 Aug, 2021 @ 2:19am
@Beter
I agree. For the moment i just swap between types every quad or so.
Mr Nimbus 24 Aug, 2021 @ 3:52pm
Based on what @Black★Rock Shooter, I kinda wish drug policies were addiction-based, not interval based, I.e. my drug policies would be based on whether or not taking the drug will get them addicted. As it stands, all of the different alcohols in VBE make it impossible to properly assign drug policies for pawns, unless you restrict them to only one type.
SeoHyeon  [author] 23 Aug, 2021 @ 8:43pm
@Black★Rock Shooter
In mod settings, try increasing the value of additional frequency.
Bic Boy 23 Aug, 2021 @ 7:50pm
I was just scrolling through popular and this genuinely blew my fucking mind lmao, amazing stuff
Black★Rock Shooter 23 Aug, 2021 @ 3:50pm
Something worth considering is how some drugs -mostly alcohol from different sources grant the same addiction and health issues. Does anyone happen to know a good way to deter/spread out similar effects wit something like this?
Xurker 23 Aug, 2021 @ 11:31am
I was literally doing this manually last night and thinking to myself "why has no one made a mod that automates this yet" and here you are, absolutely incredible
fanyogs 23 Aug, 2021 @ 9:36am
You sir/madam are the hero we don't deserve but needed!
