God. Rimworld without this mod is unhinged. Over my playthrough i found out that my man has a daughter who's a pigskin, a wife who's a neanderthal, and a waster as a sister. Just... how?!

Hey Folks, I am working on updating the mod for 1.6. I have just been busy for the last while, within the next week I'll try to get an update pushed out for the current version of Rimworld.

I love it because I hate having my crashed landed pawns some how have their great aunt show up out of nowhere.

Rather than not having any relations at all I would have some sort of slider. Giving me more control. For me, I would think a rate of 10% of the vanilla rate of relations would be ok.

@D Ok so in this case No Random Relations is not affecting this situation you are having, this is instead just Rimworld being Rimworld. I would say the best way to try and get the colonists back you lost would be to use a mod like Simple Warrants, and place a warrant for the colonists you lost from the previous colony to get them back. They are very likely still out there, just hiding. But to properly answer your question, no, this mod shouldn't affect pawns in a situation such as this

After the ArchoNexus quest, a lot of the pawns from previous colony still are in my pawns' social tabs. But even after several years of going through the faction bases, calling caravans, slave traders, etc, I have never seen them again.
Is it normal for them to never appear again or is this mod somehow conflicting with it?
How would you go about adding a chance for the old pawns to appear again in random caravans (or raids, if they now belong to a hostile faction)
I expect this would be a new mod (if it does not exist already) and outside the scope of this one.

I discovered after a few hours that the original pawns have relatives and MANY relatives in the world, does this mod have conflicts with any other specific mod? It doesn't seem to work for me.

I'm curious as to how this affects NPC relationships. Are those cleared as well, coz that would be weird. Iunno about removing relationships entirely though - like, is mod this scenario specific?

For example, if a pod falls to the ground, and your colonists were New Arrivals it should be possible (if however unlikely) that pawn may be related ton one of your colony pawns, but I agree that being related to some native tribal should be impossible.

Of course, the reverse holds true as well. A New Tribe colony should have relatives on the planet, with a higher chance of encountering them - not no chance of an off-worlder relative.

Was ambushed and had to kill the ambushee's daughter. She started a cascading failure that ultimately wiped my colony out. About the dumbest fucking thing I've seen in this already frustrating game.

I'm still getting pawns with relations to my original colonists, tough to be honest I've been adding mods mid playthrough although none of them should've added any factions, incidents or races, just wondering if anyone is in a similar situation or if this mod is still working fine.

Thank you so much. Just feels impossible to relate to a big chunk of my colony being sad over some dudes they've never even met, *just* because those guys were blood-related. Especially because those people were literally in the middle of trying to kill them and ransack their home.

I wonder if there's any plans to make this mod have a setting slider so that we can have more refined control over the rate of relations spawns. 0 would be this mod's behavior, could go up to 100% and maybe beyond if you think there would be folks interested in that. Just an idea!

I just had a child spawn into my game that randomly is the child of a pawn that died ages ago! I immediately started searching for this after looking up the weirdness, thanks! xD

it's so weird that the game even has this at all. The default story is that this is a random planet you happened to crash into nowhere near home, and suddenly your dad is here? And also he's from an enemy faction? And he just shoots you?

Thanks god, like my custom colonist Brutus the orphaned war boy suddenly having parents is just infuriating, it contradicts his backstory and ruining the immersion.

@TheGothEmperex This mod does in fact stop relationship generation between colonists at the start of a colony, as the list of colonists you choose from before starting a colony without NRR, the colonists you don't choose will still eventually end up in the world. So to prevent them from showing up, it essentially completely removes all relationships, except ones explicitly created by the player

For clarification, does this also stop the game from generating relationships when randomizing colonists at the start of a new colony, or does it only stop those random relatives showing up during raids and trade caravans?

Also, and this goes for everyone who comments, if you are going to write a comment telling me that the mod isn't working for you, with no further information, I don't know what you want me to do. I can't start to help diagnose the problem unless I have some sort of context for the cause

@samonir one of the mods you are using is likely bypassing the rules that NRR puts in place. Cause I know for a fact that the mod works as I have used it plenty for the last couple months in playthroughs with hundreds of mods
