Can confirm the mod still works if you simply change the version number for the current version of the game (2.5.*)

How does this work on a dedicated server I host?
Right now my captains are not progressing their tasks while I am offline, does this mod fix this?

Just came back to this great game after some long time. My old save is still working and just downloaded this mod (on the save I used the ReUpload from @MadBuffon, sad that it dissapeared). Anyway, as mentioned by @AwtismForPresident!, just fix the modinfo file (from version=2.0.* to version=2.3.*) and the mod worked fine.

Works fine, however will state that it is not comparable. It is working, and can be fixed by editing the workshop files to stop the game warning you about it every time you open the game.

base game requirement (2.0 to 2.0.*) doesn't match version 2.1 of the game.

You obviously have not left your game running all night like most people already do... This mod just makes it so you aren't forced to keep it running 24/7.

@scout19dcav it's for multiplayer only.
when playing multiplayer, if a player leaves the server. all their captains stop doing their commands until the player returns. this mod changes that.

This would probably be OP as fuck for a 3-person private MP game i assume. just leaving the game on overnight between sessions and coming back to a couple million trinium right off the bat.

Does this mod make captains remember orders such as "patrol sector" orders? The game used to remember this, but for some reason it doesn't anymore.

Multiplayer: no reason it shouldn't work. It won't make it so your ships actually "do stuff" while you're not logged in, but if the server has the mod then you should see a bunch of progress suddenly happen as it catches up after you connect.

One small fix in now, thanks to binaryclock03 for finding it--alliance ships were likely breaking this and that could explain it not working (I'd only tested in non-alliance SP). Should work now for alliances; let me know if it doesn't!

Hey Toaster!

A few things to check:

- Is the mod for sure applied to the galaxy? I only ask because I personally forget to check the "overwrite galaxy's mods" box about 80% of the time. I need a mod for making mods.
- If it is, was this an already-running command when the mod was enabled? The mod may not apply to commands started before the mod was enabled, since it relies on saving/restoring a timestamp.
- If both of those seem good, could you please check your server log in %appdata%\avorion\galaxies\<name-of-galaxy> for lines starting with [ARCC] ? There should be a few diagnostic lines that pop up on galaxy save/restore if commands are running.

Is there a proper way to use this? I used it in single player and there was no notification of gains, and no pirate ambush happened, I had the game closed for around 14 hours.

Thanks! I've been using it a bunch for the past few days and it's been very nice. Curious to hear everyone's thoughts about whether this makes commands too "easy" and low-risk; making it a little slower than in-game is a good start to keeping it reasonable, but if it needs more tuning then that should be straightforward.
